Stormont Loch (also known as Loch Stormont or Loch Bog) is a small irregular lowland freshwater loch, that is partially in-filled. It located in a nature reserve owned by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, on a north-east to south-west orientation and is 2 miles southeast of Blairgowrie in Perth and Kinross.

Blairgowrie Junior Football Club is a Scottish Junior football club based in Blairgowrie and Rattray, Perth and Kinross. Their home ground is Davie Park. Blairgowrie is amongst the most successful teams in Perthshire, having won ten Currie Cups, eight Perthshire Junior League Championships, and thirteen Perthshire Junior Cups between the time of formation in 1946 and the disbandment of the Perthshire League in 1969. When the Perthshire, Angus, and Dundee leagues combined to form the Midlands League, Blairgowrie were the champions for three consecutive seasons (1969–70, 1970–71 and 1971–72). and won a fourth successive title in 1974–75. Some 48 players have left Blairgowrie to become Senior footballers, and they include Charlie Thomson, Kenny Cameron, and Lindsay Kydd to name a few. The club's record attendance is 5,200, which occurred during the 1958–59 Scottish Junior Cup quarter-final replay against the eventual winners Irvine Meadow. Up until the end of the 2005–06 season, they played in Tayside Division One of the Scottish Junior Football Association's Eastern Region. The SJFA restructured prior to the 2006–07 season, and Blairgowrie found themselves in the twelve-team East Region, North Division. They finished fourth in their first season in the division, and in 2007–08, won the league with a game to spare, beating Downfield 6–1 in their final home league fixture.

Black Loch is a small lowland freshwater loch that is located directly to the east of Fingask Loch in the valley of the Lunan Burn and is 1 mile south of Blairgowrie, in Perth and Kinross. The loch is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as forming part of a Special Area of Conservation.

Blairgowrie and Rattray ( ) is a twin burgh in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Locals refer to the town as "Blair". Blairgowrie is the larger of the two former burghs which were united by an Act of Parliament in 1928 and lies on the southwest side of the River Ericht while Rattray is on the northeast side. Rattray claims to be the older and certainly Old Rattray, the area round Rattray Kirk, dates back to the 12th century. New Rattray, the area along the Boat Brae and Balmoral Road dates from 1777 when the River was spanned by the Brig o' Blair. The town lies on the north side of Strathmore at the foot of the Grampian Mountains. The west boundary is formed by the Knockie, a round grassy hill, and Craighall Gorge on the Ericht. Blairgowrie and Rattray developed over the centuries at the crossroads of several historic routes with links from the town to Perth, Coupar Angus, Alyth and Braemar. The roads to Coupar Angus and Braemar form part of General Wade's military road from Perth to Ayrshire then over the tiny bridge to the hill Fort George. The town's centrepiece is the Wellmeadow, a grassy triangle in the middle of town which hosts regular markets and outdoor entertainment.

White Loch is a small lowland freshwater loch that is located directly to the east of Fingask Loch in the valley of the Lunan Burn and is 1.5 miles south of Blairgowrie, in Perth and Kinross. The loch is also a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), as well as forming part of a Special Area of Conservation.

Newton Castle, a Category A listed building dating to the mid-16th century, stands near the town of Blairgowrie in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It had minor alterations in the 18th century, and in 1883 a wing was added to the northwest, possibly by Lake Falconer. A subterranean vault, possibly discovered in 1911, is listed separately.

Coupar Angus Abbey was a Cistercian monastery near Coupar Angus, in central Scotland, on the boundary between Angus and Gowrie. It was founded on the old royal manor of Coupar in 1161 to 1162 with the patronage of Máel Coluim IV ("Malcolm IV"), King of Scots, by Cistercian monks from Melrose Abbey. However, it may not have been fully established until 1164. The buildings must have been largely completed by 1233, when the church was dedicated. It became an abbey of medium to large size and wealth and enjoyed more than four centuries of monastic life. In the 14th century it suffered in the wars with England, one of its granges reportedly being burnt by Edward I in 1305. In 1351 the buildings were described in a papal bull as "exceedingly impoverished." Its fortunes revived later in the middle ages, with at least 24 monks at the Reformation and an income of £5590. This made it the wealthiest Cistercian house in Scotland. In 1559 the abbey was entrusted by Abbot Donald Campbell to his friend Katherine Campbell, Countess of Crawford. Under Donald Campbell religious life appears to have been maintained at high standards, though he joined the Reformation in 1559. The abbey was turned into a secular lordship for James Elphinstone, by parliament in 1606 and by royal charter in 1607. The abbey church appears to have survived for a time as the parish church. However, from the death of Lord Coupar in 1669 it is likely that the buildings were dismantled for stone. Today, there are almost no remains of the abbey, much of it being burned by the Protestant reformers. A collection of its charters has survived. There is a heavily ruined gatehouse, and some fine fragmentary stonework from the Abbey (notably a number of tombs) is preserved in the present parish church, which stands on or near the site of the medieval building. Other fragments are built into walls throughout the modern town. The original layout of the abbey remains conjectural; a drawing of 1820 held in the National Library of Scotland allegedly showing the plan has been found to be incorrect. In the 19th century some women allegedly found the Ley tunnel of Coupar Angus Abbey near the entrance to the churchyard. One went in and was never seen again, however in 1982 a local mason found the entrance again and went in some distance before finding a cave-in. It is said (without evidence) that the tunnel ran a further two and a half miles to a souterrain at Pitcur. Both the Abbey gatehouse and the Abbey precincts are separately designated as scheduled monuments.
