Alzano Scrivia (Piedmontese: Alsan) is a municipality (Italian: comune) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) east of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 409 and an area of 2.1 square kilometres (0.81 sq mi).Alzano Scrivia borders the following municipalities: Castelnuovo Scrivia, Guazzora, Isola Sant'Antonio, and Molino dei Torti. The 18th-century Church of the Nativity of Mary host paintings of Giovani Marcello Zampollini (1888-1948), Pietro Mietta, Alessandro silla and Domenico Fossati.

The Grue is a torrent in north-west Italy, a right tributary of the Scrivia, whose 32-kilometre (20 mi) course lies entirely within the Province of Alessandria, Piedmont. The river’s source is at Bocchetta del Barillaro, at an elevation of 636 metres (2,087 ft) close to the watershed with the Val Borbera. The river follows a tortuous course through the Ligurian Apennines, and between the hills of Tortona, before entering the Po plain at Viguzzolo. From here its path is straighter and it debouches into the Scrivia near Castelnuovo Scrivia at 85 metres (279 ft) above sea level. The communes through whose territory the Grue passes are Dernice, Garbagna, Avolasca, Casasco, Montemarzino, Montegioco, Cerreto Grue, Sarezzano, Viguzzolo, Berzano di Tortona, Tortona, and Castelnuovo Scrivia.

Cornale e Bastida is a comune in the province of Pavia, in Lombardy, northern Italy, that was formed on 4 February 2014 from the merger of the comuni Cornale and Bastida de' Dossi.

Casei Gerola is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pavia, Lombardy, Italy. It is located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Milan and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of Pavia. Casei Gerola borders the following municipalities: Castelnuovo Scrivia, Cornale e Bastida, Isola Sant'Antonio, Mezzana Bigli, Molino dei Torti, Pontecurone, Silvano Pietra, Voghera. It was part of the Counties of Guastalla and, later, county of Montechiarugolo, both ruled by the Torelli family, until 1612. It remained to the Torelli until 1797.

Silvano Pietra is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pavia in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 50 km southwest of Milan and about 25 km southwest of Pavia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 723 and an area of 13.8 km2.Silvano Pietra borders the following municipalities: Bastida de' Dossi, Casei Gerola, Corana, Mezzana Bigli, Sannazzaro de' Burgondi, Voghera. It was the site of a royal property at least from the reign of Lambert (896), who granted it to his mother, Ageltrude. It was bequeathed by Queen Adelaide to the monastery of the Saviour at Pavia in 999, but it was still probably regarded as owing service to the crown as late as the 12th century, when it is probably one of the "great appurtenances" of Corana mentioned in the Tafelgüterverzeichnis.

The Curone (in Piedmontese and in Lombard Cròu) is a torrent which flows for some 50 km) through the Italian regions Lombardy and Piedmont. It is a right tributary of the river Po. The source of the river is at an elevation of some 1,500 m on Monte Garavè and close to the border between Piedmont and Lombardy.

Pontecurone (Piedmontese: Poncròu) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located on the left bank of the Curone, about 100 kilometres (62 mi) east of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of Alessandria. Pontecurone borders the following municipalities: Casalnoceto, Casei Gerola, Castelnuovo Scrivia, Rivanazzano Terme, Tortona, Viguzzolo, and Voghera. In 1635 it was the site of a battle in which Odoardo Farnese, duke of Parma and Piacenza and allied to the French, defeated the Spanish troops under Caspar Azevedo.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,179 and an area of 25.5 km2.Pieve del Cairo borders the municipalities of Ferrera Erbognone, Galliavola, Gambarana, Isola Sant'Antonio, Mede, Mezzana Bigli, and Villa Biscossi.
