The Visconti Castle of Invorio was a mediaeval castle located in Invorio, Province of Novara, Piedmont, northern Italy. Only a tower today survives, surrounded by the traces of the ancient walls. Matteo I Visconti, Lord of Milan, was born there in 1250.

As of 31 December 2004, it has a population of 906 and an area of 10.0 square kilometres (3.9 sq mi).The word Ameno means a healthy, tranquil place in Italian. The village is on the top of a hill surrounded by mountains, a lake, and brushland. Ameno contains numerous ancient homes and castles belonging to noble families from Turin and Milan who vacationed in Ameno during the summer. In addition, the municipality has the Santuario della Madonna della Bocciola. Every June, the village hosts a Blues festival in Ameno.

Cureggio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Novara. Cureggio borders the following municipalities: Boca, Borgomanero, Cavallirio, Fontaneto d'Agogna, and Maggiora. The town also has a railway station, served by the Santhià–Arona railway (currently in disuse).
