Cavallirio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northeast of Turin and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) northwest of Novara. Cavallirio borders the following municipalities: Boca, Cureggio, Fontaneto d'Agogna, Prato Sesia, and Romagnano Sesia.

Carpignano Sesia railway station (Italian: Stazione di Carpignano Sesia) is a railway station serving the comune of Carpignano Sesia, in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. The station is located on the Biella–Novara railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), a subsidiary of Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), Italy's state-owned rail company.

Ghemme is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located on the river Sesia about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Novara. It is the birthplace of architect Alessandro Antonelli and the town of origin of Blessed Panacea De' Muzzi. The main attraction is the castle (Castello-ricetto), built in the 11th to 15th centuries. Ghemme is notable for its red wine.

Ghemme is a red Italian wine with Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita status produced in the Colli Novaresi viticultural area in the hills of the Province of Novara in Piedmont. It was awarded DOC status in 1969 and received its DOCG classification in 1997.The wine is made primarily from the Nebbiolo grape varietal (known locally as Spanna) and like Gattinara, it may be blended with Uva Rara (known locally as Bonarda di Gattinara) and Vespolina.A minimum of 3 years total ageing is required, including a minimum of 20 months in wood and 9 months in a bottle from November 1 of the harvest year. Riserva is a minimum of 4 years of total ageing, including a minimum of 25 months in wood and 9 months in a bottle from November 1 of the harvest year.
