Kilkerrin-Clonberne is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Clonberne, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA. They achieved Senior status in 1996 and have competed in the Galway Senior Club Football Championship up until 2015. They were relegated to the Intermediate ranks by a strong Kilconly side. Notable former players include Johnny Geraghty & Christy Tyrell, members of Galway's famous 3 in a row team and John Divilly, a member of Galway's All-Ireland triumph in 1998. In 1999, the Ladies football club in Clonberne won a club All-Ireland.

Moylough ( moy-LOKH; Irish: Maigh Locha, meaning 'plain of the lake') is a small rural village located in County Galway in Ireland. It is located on the N63 national secondary road (Cnoc Tua Mór–Longford), and is served also by the R328 and R364 regional roads. It is 50 km from Galway, 30 km from Roscommon, and 5 km northwest of Mountbellew. It is twinned with Elliant in Brittany. It used to be part of the kingdom of the Soghain of Connacht. Moylough is the birthplace of Thomas Higgins who became the shortest serving MP in Westminster when, representing the Irish Parliamentary Party, he was posthumously declared elected a Member of Parliament of the House of Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland on 26 January 1906.Thomas Carr, Archbishop of Melbourne 1886–1917, was born near Moylough in 1839.There is a statue of the Galway Gaelic Footballer Enda Colleran in the town.Former Irish Rugby Manager Eddie O'Sullivan is from Moylough.In 1947, the Moylough Belt-Shrine, an 8th century Irish reliquary shaped in the form of a belt, was found here by a peat bog by John Towey while he was cutting turf near Moylough.

Glenamaddy (Irish: Gleann na Madadh) is a small town in County Galway, Ireland. It lies at the crossroads where the R362 and R364 regional roads meet. Glenamaddy became a musical focal point in Connacht during the 1960s during the showband era.To the east of the town lies Loch Lurgeen, a raised bog. The origins of the parish lie in the village of Boyounagh, which lies to the northwest of Glenamaddy.

The Glenamaddy Turlough is located east of the town of Glenamaddy, County Galway in Ireland. A turlough is a seasonal lake which usually dries up in summer. Glenamaddy Turlough lies alongside the R362 regional road in the outskirts of the town, and there is a car park and viewing area on the lake-shore. The town of Glenamaddy is reputed to get its name from the shape of the lake in winter, which is said to resemble a dog.

Barnaderg (Irish: Bearna Dhearg, meaning 'red gap') is a village southeast of Tuam in eastern County Galway, Ireland. Barnaderg Castle was a 16th-century stronghold of the O'Kelly clan.In June 2008, a €1.5m extension was opened at Barnaderg National School, which has 87 pupils. In addition to the development of new classrooms, library, offices and other rooms, refurbishment of the existing building were carried out.

Skehana or Skehanagh (Irish: An Sceachánach) is a small village and townland in County Galway, Ireland. The name Skehana derives from the Irish Sceith eánach meaning "place of the whitethorn". Together with nearby Menlough, Skehana is a half-parish within the diocesan parish of Killascobe in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tuam. The parish church in Skehana was built c. 1861 and is included on the Record of Protected Structures maintained by Galway County Council. The local Gaelic Athletic Association club, Skehana Hurling Club, fields hurling teams at underage and adult Junior A grades. The ruins of an Anglo-Norman tower house, Garbally Castle, are located immediately to the west of the local national school.

It is located 35 km from Galway, 27 km from Tuam, 30 km from Ballinasloe, and 20 km from Athenry. Together with nearby Skehana, Menlough is a half-parish within the diocesan parish of Killascobe in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Tuam.
