Keswick Bridge

Headquarters Building (Building 32) is a heritage-listed office building at Keswick Barracks, Anzac Highway, Keswick, South Australia, Australia. It was added to the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List on 22 June 2004 and the former Register of the National Estate on 28 September 1982.

The 4th Military District was an administrative district of the Australian Army. During the Second World War, the 4th Military District covered all of South Australia, with its headquarters at Adelaide. Around the start of the Second World War, the 4th Military District became part of Southern Command, along with the 3rd and 6th Military Districts in Victoria and Tasmania. This required legislative changes to the Defence Act (1903), and did not come into effect until October 1939.

Keswick Barracks is a barracks of the Australian Army in Keswick, South Australia. The barracks are located on Anzac Highway adjacent to the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds. The base is separated from the Showgrounds by the Seaford and Belair railway lines. The barracks' historic Headquarters Building is listed on both the Australian Commonwealth Heritage List and the former Register of the National Estate.The barracks is also home to the Army Museum of South Australia.

Adelaide Showground railway station is located on the Belair, Flinders and Seaford lines, and is located in the inner western Adelaide suburb of Keswick. It is four kilometres from Adelaide station, and replaced Keswick station and the temporary Showground Central station.

Keswick railway station was a station on the Adelaide-Wolseley line and served by Adelaide Metro Belair, Noarlunga and Tonsley line services. It was located in the inner western Adelaide suburb of Keswick, 3.8 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Adelaide Parklands Terminal, formerly known as the Keswick Terminal, is the only interstate railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It is 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) from the city centre, adjacent to the suburb of Keswick, and is within the southern part of the West Parklands.

The Adelaide Showground holds many of Adelaide's most popular events, including the Royal Adelaide Show. The Showground (also popularly known as the Wayville Showgrounds) is located in the inner-southern Adelaide suburb of Wayville, just south of Greenhill Road. They are bordered by Goodwood Road (east), Leader Street (south), the railway line (west) and Rose Terrace (north). The Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia (RAHS) has controlled the site since the 1920s, the land having been purchased by the South Australian government prior to the First World War. The Royal Show moved to the present site in 1925. The Showground has one of the largest under-cover exhibition spaces in the Southern Hemisphere, and hosts over 140 exhibitions and conferences each year, as well as University of Adelaide and University of South Australia examinations. The RAHS also leases the former Investigator Science and Technology Centre to the Edge Church. In 2006 it was announced that the formal title of the Showground would be changed from 'Royal Adelaide Showground' to 'Adelaide Showground'. In 2008 Premier Mike Rann announced that the largest rooftop solar installation in Australia would be installed on the new Goyder Pavilion, the centrepiece of the Adelaide Showground upgrade. The $8 million investment saw 10,000 square metres of solar panels installed, generating 14,00 mega-watt hours of solar electricity, the equivalent to powering 200 South Australian homes and saving 1,400 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions per year. The size of the project meant that the Adelaide Showground is registered as a power station.

The City of West Torrens is a local government area in the western suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. Since the 1970s the area was mainly home to many open spaces and parks, however after the mid-1990s (1993-1995) the LGA became more residential.

Keswick Terminal is an inner south-western industrial suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of West Torrens. It is bounded by Mile End to the north and north west, Mile End South to the west, Keswick to the south west and south, Wayville to the south east and Park 23 of Adelaide Park Lands which contains West Terrace Cemetery to the east and north east. The suburb is entirely commercial and has a population of zero. It contains Netball SA Stadium, the Head Office of Australian Rail Track Corporation, Woolworths Adelaide Central Customer Fulfillment Centre, the distribution centre for Haigh's Chocolates, the headquarters of the South Australian Country Fire Service, the South Australian State Emergency Service, the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service, the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission, the South Australia State Emergency Service Volunteers' Association, the South Australian Country Fire Service Volunteers Association and the South Australian Country Fire Service Foundation, the News Corp Australia Adelaide Print Center and the Adelaide Parklands Terminal. The suburb was officially gazetted on 30 April 1987 by then the Minister of Lands, Roy Abbott with the area previously being the southern portion of Mile End.

Goodwood railway station is the junction station for the Belair, Seaford and Flinders lines. The Belair line diverges south-east towards Millswood, while the Seaford and Flinders lines diverge south-west towards Clarence Park. The Glenelg tram line crosses over the railway lines at the south end of Goodwood station. The station services the Adelaide inner-southern suburb of Goodwood, and is 5.0 km from Adelaide station.
