Baths Island is an island in the River Thames in England on the reach above Romney Lock, between Eton Wick and Windsor, Berkshire. The island is unpopulated and contains public open space. It carries the central part of Windsor Railway Bridge across the river.

Windsor Railway Bridge is a wrought iron 'bow and string' bridge in Windsor, Berkshire, crossing the River Thames on the reach between Romney Lock and Boveney Lock. It carries the branch line between Slough and Windsor. The Windsor Railway Bridge was designed by the famed British civil engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and is considered to be a forerunner to his last major work, the Royal Albert Bridge. It was built during the 1840s to carry the Slough to Windsor & Eton Line of the Great Western Railway (GWR). On account of concerns raised by the Provost of Eton College, the bridge had to cross the river while keeping it unobstructed in its entirety. Construction of the railway was subsequently authorised during 1848 and proceeded at a rapid pace, the line and bridge alike being first opened to traffic on 8 October 1849. During the early 1860s, the original wooden approach viaducts were replaced by arched brick counterparts. During 1908, the bridge's cast iron piles were replaced by brick abutments, somewhat shortening its span to 184 ft 6in, as well as the replacement of both cross girders and rail bearers with steel equivalents. While the Windsor Railway Bridge was originally built to carry a twin-track arrangement, only a single line has crossed the bridge since the railway was singled as a rationalisation measure during the 1960s. In 1975, the bridge became a Grade II* listed structure.

The Queen Elizabeth Bridge is a road bridge just to the west of the town of Windsor, Berkshire, England. The bridge carries the A332 Royal Windsor Way across the River Thames, on the reach between Romney Lock and Boveney Lock. The bridge was completed in 1966, and has formed the principal road route between Windsor and Slough since 1970, when structural cracks in the nearby Windsor Bridge forced that bridge's closure to all motorised traffic.

Clewer Mill Stream is a narrow twisting backwater of the River Thames near Windsor, Berkshire, England, which leaves the main river at Bush Ait and rejoins just above Queen Elizabeth Bridge. It is about 1.5 miles long. Clewer Mill Stream is named after the watermill that it once drove. Clewer Mill Stream has provided food, power, fresh water, safe harbour and navigable access to the Thames for the small settlement of Clewer since the 10th century. In 1198 the Knights Templars of Bisham granted a fishery at Clewer to Richard de Sifrewast. The corn mill at Clewer was first mentioned in the Domesday Book with a value of 10 shillings and there has been a building on the site ever since. In 1781 the mill burnt down and its machinery, which had been visited by George III as it was so "singular and curious", was destroyed. The mill was rebuilt after the fire, and although the water level was affected by the building of the weirs at Romney and Boveney Locks, Clewer Mill was operational until the late 19th century. In the 1920s Clewer Mill House was the home of a Mrs Moscockle who used to dress like Queen Mary and wave regally to pedestrians from her Rolls-Royce as she was driven around Windsor.Clewer Mill Stream was once a popular haunt of schoolboys from nearby Eton College although it was, along with the Thames itself, officially out-of-bounds and a punishment of 100 lines could be given by a sixth former to any "lower boy" (roughly the first two years) caught "shooting [water birds] in the Clewer Stream". An account from the 1840s of life at Eton describes the thrill of sculling up the backwater to the mill and waiting until the "miller was at dinner" to carry one's skiff around the mill wheel and launch it into the "mill-stream where it was really dangerous, above the wheel".The 165-acre (0.67 km2) tract of land between Clewer Mill Stream and the main channel of the Thames is a meadow called The Rays which has been used for horse racing meetings since 1866. It is now the site of Royal Windsor Racecourse.The upstream part of Clewer Mill Stream from Bush Ait forms the entrance channel to Windsor Racecourse Marina, providing a maximum draft of 11 feet (3.4 m), but much less during drought. The downstream section, below the marina is unnavigable by powered craft except for a short reach from the mouth of the stream upstream to Clewer Boatyard. At the downstream end, just before the stream rejoins the main river Thames, is White Lilies Island.

Clewer (also known as Clewer Village) is an ecclesiastical parish and an area of Windsor in the county of Berkshire, England. Clewer makes up three wards of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, namely Clewer North, Clewer South and Clewer East.

The Royal Windsor Wheel was a non-permanent transportable Ferris wheel installation at Alexandra Gardens, Windsor, Berkshire, England. The Royal Windsor Wheel first operated in 2006. In 2009 it operated from April to October and carried over 200,000 passengers. During 2010, it opened daily from 10 am to 10 pm, from 1 May until 30 August.In 2011, the official website stated that the 365 tonne wheel had 40 6-person gondolas, including one VIP gondola and one disabled access gondola, offering views from a height of 60 metres.In July 2021 a new company (Roses pleasure parks limited) applied to the local council to build a smaller wheel near the original site

Firework Ait is an islet in the River Thames in England on the reach above Romney Lock known as the Windsor and Eton reach, Berkshire. It is the smallest island on the Thames with an official map-published name.

The Ricky-Tick was an influential 1960s rhythm & blues club in Windsor, Berkshire, England, host to many important acts such as The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Cream. It was set up as an R&B venue after founders Philip Hayward and John Mansfield saw the success in early 1962 of the Ealing Club. At the close of the Ricky-Tick Philip Hayward went on to open Pantiles Club & Restaurant in Bagshot, Surrey. The club was resident at several Windsor locations over its lifespan, and in later days included clubs in Guildford, Hounslow, Reading and High Wycombe, but its most famous venue was the Windsor river-side mansion at Clewer Mead. Gigs were also organized at the Drill Hall at Maidenhead in 1963, and hosted bands like Yardbirds, The Pretty Things and the Stones. The original venue for the Ricky-Tick was an upstairs room behind the Star and Garter pub. It then moved to another pub called the Thames Hotel, not in Peascod Street, Windsor but down on the Thamesriver front, before moving to Clewer Manor. Sunday nights saw the Disco-Tick evenings with Fridays and Saturdays devoted to live bands. Geno Washington & The Ram Jam Band were regulars as were Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames, The Alan Price Set, [] and others including Herbie Goins, John Mayall, and Zoot Money. The Ricky-Tick also helped introduce Motown to the UK with The Supremes, Temptations, and Stevie Wonder all appearing. There was also an in-house "Boutick" where patrons could buy shirts and other clothes of the day.

Clewer Park can be found within the village of Clewer to the west of Windsor, England. Today Clewer Park consists of a small estate of residential homes built during the mid-1950s and a public open parkland. In former times this land was occupied by the Clewer Park estate. Clewer Park was originally a medieval house. It was modified and eventually bought by Sir Daniel Gooch, the 19th century industrialist, railway engineer and engineer responsible for the first transatlantic cables. More famously, the park hosted Clewer Barracks. Built in 1796-1800 it was designed to accommodate the Royal Horse Guards. King George III's favourite regiment The Blues took up residence in what was originally carved out of Windsor Great Park. The cavalry used the area for training, manoeuvres and war preparations alongside nearby Wingfield Park. Queen Victoria subsequently authorised modernisation and upgrade of the troopers billets and officers mess after a personal visit exposed to her its unhygienic inadequacies. In 1875 she opened a brand new building named after Lord Combermere, a former colonel of the Household Cavalry. During World War II, the house was used as accommodation for female Royal Navy staff.

Windsor & Eton Central station is one of two terminal stations serving the town of Windsor, Berkshire, England. Although a small part is still a railway station, most of the station building has been converted into a tourist-oriented shopping centre, called Windsor Royal Shopping. It is situated on the High Street, almost immediately opposite Castle Hill, the main public entrance to Windsor Castle. Originally named simply Windsor, the station was renamed twice: first to Windsor & Eton on 1 June 1904; and then to Windsor & Eton Central on 26 September 1949.The station is the terminus of a branch line from Slough operated by Great Western Railway. Windsor's other station, Windsor & Eton Riverside, is the terminus for the South Western Railway service from London Waterloo.
