The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario administers Catholic education for children up to grade 12, in the easternmost counties of Ontario, Canada (an amalgamation of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville, Prescott and Russell, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry) including the cities of Brockville, Clarence-Rockland, Carleton Place and Cornwall. The Swords and Ploughshares Museum is a private military museum located south of the village of Kars, Ontario, Canada. The Museum is focused on a specific aspect of Canadian military history: the Citizen Soldier (the Militiaman and Reservist) at peace and at war. The Museum uses vehicles and artifacts to demonstrate how they could be adapted and used by Citizen Soldiers for both military and civilian purposes. For example, a Ram tank from World War II that was modified after the war to serve as a snowplow was a featured display at the Museum for many years.Amongst the artifacts and equipment that the Museum displays is a 1942 Bofors 40 mm Light Anti-Aircraft Gun which is maintained as a living monument and memorial for Canadian anti-aircraft gunners.

Kemptville is a community located in the Municipality of North Grenville in Eastern Ontario, Canada in the northernmost part of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. It is located approximately 56 km (35 mi) south of the downtown core of Ottawa and 2.5 to 3 km (1.6 to 1.9 mi) south of the Rideau River. The community can be accessed by Highway 416, also known as the Veterans Memorial Highway, which was completed in 1999, and from Leeds and Grenville Road 43 (formerly Highway 43). Kemptville is the largest community in North Grenville, with about 69% of North Grenville's population. Three elementary schools are located in the town — Holy Cross Catholic School, Kemptville Public School and South Branch Elementary School — two high schools — North Grenville District High School and St. Michael Catholic High School — three parks, and two hotels. The residential area is generally located in the south and east parts of the community. The main streets are Rideau, Prescott, Clothier and Van Buren streets. A creek named Kemptville Creek divides Kemptville in the southeast, where the least part of Kemptville is found. The creek begins southwest of Kemptville and empties 4 km (2.5 mi) NE into the Rideau River. Much of Kemptville is forested, especially east and north of the community. Farmland covers the rest of the area, especially the west and the southern part of the community, with some exceptions. There are some homes lying next to the farmland.

North Grenville District High School (NGDHS), is a secondary school in the community of Kemptville, Ontario. It is part of the Upper Canada District School Board and is currently at 2605 Concession Road, Kemptville, ON, K0G 1J0. Prior to 2012, North Grenville District High School was located at 304 Prescott Street, Kemptville, Ontario, K0G 1J0.

Rideau Valley Air Park (TC LID: CPL3) is a registered aerodrome located 3 nautical miles (5.6 km; 3.5 mi) south of Kars, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on the shore of the Rideau River. The aerodrome has a single 1,800 by 100 ft (549 by 30 m) grass runway, and serves mainly ultralight and glider traffic.

Kemptville College is a community college based in Kemptville, Ontario, and was formerly a satellite campus of the Ontario Agricultural College as part of the University of Guelph.

CKVV-FM is a Canadian radio station broadcasting an adult hits format on the frequency of 97.5 MHz (FM) in Kemptville, Ontario. The station is branded as 97.5 Moose FM.

Actons Corners is a community in the municipality of North Grenville, United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, in eastern Ontario, Canada. An unincorporated place and compact rural community, it is located on County Road 43 (formerly provincial Highway 43) between Kemptville and Merrickville at the intersection with Actons Corners Road (north to the Rideau River) and County Road 25 (south to Oxford Mills). Except for an historic stone church built in the late 19th century, the North Grenville Archives, and a brickyard, the area consists mainly of farms and homes set in a mixture of farmland and cedar forest. Addresses in the community are either listed as RR #1, Oxford Mills or RR #5, Kemptville.

North Grenville is a township in eastern Ontario, Canada, in the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville on the Rideau River. It is located just south of Ottawa in Canada's National Capital Region. It was established on January 1, 1998, through the amalgamation of Oxford-on-Rideau Township, South Gower Township, and the Town of Kemptville. In 2003, a motion of the municipal council adopted the designation of 'municipality'. The largest community in North Grenville is Kemptville, with a population of 3,911 in the 2016 census, up from 3,620 in the Canada 2011 Census. It is located on the Kemptville Creek (historically South Branch of the Rideau River) approximately 56 km (35 mi) south of Ottawa, sitting midway between suburban Ottawa and the Ogdensburg–Prescott International Bridge along Highway 416.

Stevens Creek is a stream in Ontario, Canada. It springs in the marshes of Marlborough Forest, flowing northeast to North Gower, where a smaller unnamed stream joins Stevens Creek from the north. It drains into the Rideau River in Kars at its most easterly point. Stevens Creek was named for Roger Stevens, a United Empire Loyalist and British spy who drowned there in 1793.

Kars is a village on the Rideau River within Rideau-Jock Ward in the city of Ottawa, Ontario. Prior to joining the city in 2000 it was part of Rideau Township.

North Gower () is a small village in eastern Ontario, originally part of North Gower Township, now part of the city of Ottawa. Surrounding communities include Richmond, Kemptville, Kars and Manotick. Public high school students in this area go to South Carleton High School in Richmond. Elementary school students go to Marlborough Public School in North Gower. The village took its name from Admiral John Leveson-Gower, Lord of the Admiralty from 1783 to 1789.
