Govindraj Nagar Assembly constituency is one of the 224 constituencies in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly of Karnataka a south state of India. It is also part of Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency.

Nagarabhavi is a residential area of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Located in West Bangalore, Nagarabhavi is located between Mysore Road and Magadi road. It is surrounded by Vijaynagar on the north, Bangalore University and Chandra Layout on the east, Magadi road on the north and Sir.M.V.Layout on the west, and Kengeri to the south. Nagarabhavi is broadly divided into two areas, called Nagarabhavi 1st stage and Nagarabhavi 2nd stage. Traditionally known as the home of Bangalore University, this area also houses the National Law School of India University. This area also houses Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology. And KLE Institute in Nagarabhavi 2nd stage. Nagarabhavi 1st stage comprises the localities of Maruthinagara, Kalyana Nagara, Nagarabhavi Village, Canara bank Colony, Bhairaveshwara Nagar and Moodala Palya amongst others. These areas are heavily populated and have much commercial activity along the Nagarabhavi main road. These areas have smaller roads and a rough terrain. Nagarabhavi 2nd stage is in complete contrast to the 1st stage. While the 1st stage is very old, the 2nd stage is a relatively new area. The latter is very well planned and most of the areas have wide roads and the road connectivity is laudable. Most of the roads here are now tarred, ending the age old woes of the people residing here. The BDA has divided Nagarabhavi 2nd stage into blocks 1–12. In addition, well planned residential localities like Annapoorneshwari Nagara, Vinayaka Layout, ITI Layout, MPM Layout, NGEF Layout and Papareddy Palya form a part of this area. Nagarabhavi has famous restaurants like Mane Ruchi, Swathi Restaurant and Nandana Palace. It also has access to good reading libraries like JustBooks and Central and Namma hotels. Many celebrities live in and around Nagarbhavi.

Basaveshwaranagara is a largely residential neighbourhood in the west of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It is located to the west of Rajajinagara and is sandwiched between the localities of Mahalakshmi Layout to the north and Vijayanagara to the south, spread across multiple sub-localities, three assembly constituencies and seven Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) wards. The area of Basaveshwaranagara is often considered West of Chord Road as it lies to the west of Chord Road, an arterial road in the western part of Bengaluru.

Mysuru Road Bus Station (MRBS), is one of the four major bus stations that serve as mofussil bus station hubs for the city of Bengaluru, India. It is located on Mysuru road. The other three major bus stations in Bengaluru are Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS), Shantinagara Bus Station (SBS) and Basaveshwara Bus Station (BBS). It is the second busiest mofussil bus station in Bengaluru only after Kempegowda Bus Station. It started functioning in 2005.

National Public School (or NPS-RNR or NPS-R) is a school located in Bangalore, India, established in 1959 by K. P. Gopalkrishna and consisting of both primary and secondary schools. Its main campus is located on Chord Road, 5th Block, Rajajinagar. The campus comprises four buildings which house the classrooms, labs and auditorium. The school is one of the few schools in India given full autonomy by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Classes generally consist of 30–40 children, and the total student strength is 1800 Act. In the same month, the Karnataka High Court granted a stay order on the disaffiliation of the school and restored full affiliation.
