Colne Valley Viaduct

Savay Farm is a Grade I listed twelfth century farmhouse in Denham, Buckinghamshire, England.The house has a timber frame and red brick nogging.It was granted Grade I status in September 1955, protecting it from unauthorised alteration or demolition.Past owners of the house have included the Durdent Family (1130-1512) after whom the house was once named and Lt-Gen. Gerald Goodlake VC, a veteran of the Crimean War and recipient of the Victoria Cross. Goodlake's medals are currently held in the Regimental Headquarters of the Grenadier Guards in the Wellington Barracks, Westminster. Savay Farm was later lived in by Sir Oswald Mosley, a British politician and the founder of the British Union of Fascists. He lived at Savehay Farm (name used by the Mosleys)with his wife, Lady Cynthia Mosley (nee Curzon)]. On the 23rd May 1940, officers of Special Branch raided Savay Farm in conjunction with Mosley's internment and found a collection of firearms and ammunition.As of December 2016, the house is in private ownership. It is within 300 metres (330 yd) of the proposed path of the High Speed 2 railway, which would pass the house on the 30 metres (33 yd) high Colne Valley Viaduct.

Mid Colne Valley is a 132 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Harefield in the London Borough of Hillingdon and Denham in South Buckinghamshire. Its main importance lies in its extensive diversity of birdlife in lakes in former gravel pits. The site is divided into three areas. The great majority is in an area of four lakes bounded on the west by the River Colne and on the east by the Grand Union Canal. The river forms the boundary between Greater London to the east and Buckinghamshire to the west, and west of the river in Denham is a small area called Ranston Covert. The SSSI also includes a field called Coppermill Down east of the canal.

Denham Film Studios was a British film production studio operating from 1936 to 1952, founded by Alexander Korda, in Buckinghamshire. Notable films made at Denham include Brief Encounter and David Lean's Great Expectations. From the 1950s to the 1970s the studio became best known for recording film music, including the scores for Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Star Wars. The studio buildings were demolished in 1981 and the site re-landscaped as a business park; as of 2017 it has been turned over to residential use.

Harefield Pit is a 1.8-hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Harefield in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It occupies much of a partially filled-in chalk quarry. It has two entries in the Geological Conservation Review database.It is an important Tertiary site in the London Basin, which displays a sequence through the Upper Chalk, Reading Beds and London Clay. It is the only known source of charophytes in the Reading Beds, and these have potential for correlation with other localities in Europe.Natural England has cast the site as "unfavourable declining" as the Reading Beds are not visible due to covering by vegetation. It is set behind Lovett Road, without public access.

Buckinghamshire Golf Club, containing the Denham Court Mansion, is a golf club near Denham, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom.It is accessed via Denham Country Drive off the M40 motorway near the junction with the M25 motorway. The golf course and surroundings form part of the Denham Country Park, an area which the poet John Dryden called "one of the most delicious spots in England". The mansion is set in a course of 226 acres, designed by the former Ryder Cup captain John Jacobs. The golf club was established in 1992. The River Misbourne flows through the course. The club hosted the Senior Tournament of Champions on the European Seniors Tour from 1996 to 2000, the Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf European Final in 1997, which was won by Colin Montgomerie, and the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters on the Ladies European Tour since 2012.

Hills House is a 17th-century residence located on the Village Road in Denham, Buckinghamshire, England. In the late 1930s and early 1940s, it was the home of actress Merle Oberon and her husband, the film producer Sir Alexander Korda. In 1975 the house was purchased by Sir John and Lady Mills.

Dews Farm Sand Pits is a 1.2-hectare (3.0-acre) nature reserve near Harefield in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is managed by the London Wildlife Trust, and is a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade I.The site is an old quarry which has been reclaimed by nature. It has areas of woodland, dominated by pedunculate oak and ash. In drier grassland areas, there is common knapweed, agrimony and ox-eye daisy.There is access from Harvil Road near Newyears Green Lane.

Northmoor Hill Wood is an 8.7 hectares (21 acres) Local Nature Reserve in Denham in Buckinghamshire. It is also of geological interest.The western area near the entrance has wet clay flora, with alder woodland, sedges, rushes, yellow archangel and star of Bethlehem orchids. Geologically, this is Reading Formation, dating to the Tertiary period. The eastern part is chalk, and an old chalk quarry exposes layers dating to the Cretaceous period.There is access from Tilehouse Lane opposite Denham Aerodrome, and the site has a car park.

Harefield United Football Club are an English football club based in Harefield in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The club is the oldest in Middlesex. The club is affiliated to the Middlesex County Football Association. They are currently members of the Combined Counties Premier North Division as of the 2022-2023 season, having left the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division at the end of the 2021-2022 season.

Denham Country Park is a 69-acre public park and Local Nature Reserve in Buckinghamshire and the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is part of the 42 square mile Colne Valley Regional Park, and the Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre and cafe are located in Denham Country Park. The Colne and Misbourne rivers pass through the park and the Grand Union Canal forms its eastern boundary. It has a variety of wildlife, including herons, kingfishers, damselflies and dragonflies.There is access from Denham Court Drive and the canal towpath.
