Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre is a prison in Jamaica. It was formerly the General Penitentiary, and was built to accommodate 650 male inmates but has held over 1700 on occasions. Construction of the current building began in 1845, shortly after the end of slavery. Previously, the Kingston House of Correction stood on the same site. The new penitentiary was designed according to the 'separate system' in which prisoners are held in isolation, although in practice sharing of the small cells has been common.It is operated by the Department of Correctional Services for the Ministry of National Security.

Rennock Lodge is a neighbourhood in Kingston, Jamaica. J.E. Duerden reported finding pre-Columbian art in the area in 1879 in the form of two stone sculpted "images" described as amulets.

Alpha Cottage School (often referred to as Alpha Boys School, Convent of Mercy "Alpha" Academy and now called Alpha Institute) was the name of the vocational residential school on South Camp Road in Kingston, Jamaica, still run by Roman Catholic nuns. Established in 1880 as a "school for wayward boys", it became renowned for both the discipline it instilled in its pupils and the outstanding musical tuition they received. In 2014 Alpha's residence closed and the school continued as Alpha Institute to focus on educational and vocational training for inner city unattached youth.

Melbourne Park was a cricket ground in Kingston, Jamaica. It was the home of Melbourne Cricket Club, the third-oldest cricket club in Jamaica. The ground hosted first-class cricket on 23 occasions between 1908–09 and 1961-62. Melbourne Park's opening first-class match, in February 1909, saw Ranji Hordern, playing for the Philadelphians on their final overseas tour, take 8-44 in the Jamaican first innings and 13-113 in the match; both remain records for the ground. George Headley performed some notable batting feats on this ground. Playing for Jamaica against Lord Tennyson's XI in February 1932, he struck 344 not out, at the time the highest innings made in the West Indies and a ground record. Headley and Clarence Passailaigue (261*) put on an unbroken stand of 487 for the sixth wicket: this remains (as of 2007) a world record for that wicket. The other two first-class double hundreds scored at Melbourne Park were both Headley's: 211 against Lord Tennyson's XI in 1927–28 and 203* against Barbados in 1946–47. In the 1960s, the Melbourne Cricket Club ceased using Melbourne Park, and moved to a new ground—Melbourne Oval—about 2 miles away in New Kingston. Melbourne Park no longer exists.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral is a religious building belonging to the Roman Catholic Church located in downtown Kingston, the capital, and most populous city, in the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica. It is located between North Street and George Headley Drive. The church is the seat of metropolitan archbishop and was consecrated in 1911. The Byzantine Revival design was by the American architect Raymond F. Almirall. The Pope John Paul II paid a visit on 10 August 1993. It was built after the destruction, in the earthquake of 1907, of the Church of the Holy Trinity in the Duke and Sutton streets. It is located on a site adjacent to Winchester Park, the works beginning in 1908.

Rollington Town is a neighborhood in the area of Kingston, Jamaica. Part of it is in Kingston Parish. A campus of Kingston College is in Rollington Town.

St. George's College is a public Catholic secondary school, located in Kingston, Jamaica. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1850. It was established by 21 Spanish Jesuits who had been exiled from Colombia as part of a religious persecution. Initially founded as a school for boys only, in 2005 the College opened its pre-university programme (Sixth Form) to female students. The school is one of the oldest and most respected learning institutions in the country, having produced at least six Rhodes Scholars.
