Cobham & Stoke d'Abernon railway station

The Cobham Training Centre, is the training ground of Chelsea Football Club located in the village of Stoke d'Abernon near the village of Cobham, Surrey. The Chelsea first team have trained at Stoke D'Abernon since 2005, but it was not officially opened until 2007.

Stoke d'Abernon () is a village and former civil parish in the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England. It is on the right bank of the River Mole contiguously south of Cobham, a larger settlement which is a post town and is east-southeast of Oxshott a large village founded in the 19th century from the higher, sandy forested part of its formerly expansive area. It shares a railway station with Cobham and is inside the M25 motorway. Cobham Training Centre, the training ground of Chelsea F.C., is within its traditional boundaries.

Parkside School is a private preparatory school located in Cobham. Founded in 1879, the school caters for boys aged 2 to 13 and for girls in the nursery school section aged 2 to 4.

The Church of St Mary is an Anglican church in the village of Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey, in the Diocese of Guildford. The church, the oldest parts of which date from the 7th century, is a Grade I listed building.

The Grange is a gothic regency manor house in Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey that dates back to the 15th Century. It was part of the Eastwick Manor estate and is close to Slyfield House that also was part of the same estate. It was acquired in 1780 by Samuel Castle who over a number of years transformed the house into a substantial four-bay house retaining the cottage chimney. The gothic regency style is similar to that seen at Strawberry Hill House in nearby twickenham. The house was briefly called the Grange in the 1950s according to the note 'Over the bridge to Bookham' in the St Mary's Parish Magazine of 1952, by the historian T. E. C. Walker in which he described a local walk "Bending back to Stoke we come to the Grange, formerly Bookham Lodge, Byant's Farm and Fryse Hill. It may go back as an inhabited site to about 1340 and though modernised retains early work". It was renamed the Grange in 2018 after being called Bookham Lodge for many years Writing in St Mary's Parish Magazine of June 1952, the then rector, John Waterson, said:"The Reverend Frederick Parr Phillips purchased practically the whole parish of Stoke D'Abernon in 1852, including the Grange (Fanny Burney's old house) and also became Rector in 1862 having already been in charge of the church for nearly ten years".In 1854, Bookham Lodge was acquired by Frances, Viscountess Chewton, niece of Frances Lady Waldergrave and Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Victoria from 1855 to 1901. She lived at Bookham lodge for almost 50 years before dying there in April 1902. Viscountess Chewton's name is perpetuated in the Lady Chewton Wood to the south of Bookham Lodge. In 1931 the freehold was sold to Sir Edmund and Lady Wyldbore-Smith. Sir Edmund Wyldbore-Smith was the British chargé d'affaires in Tangier at the time of the Perdicaris incident.

The Yehudi Menuhin School is a specialist music school in Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey, England, founded in 1963 by violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin. The current director of music is the British classical pianist Ashley Wass. The school is one of the five established musical schools for school-age children in the United Kingdom, along with Chetham's School of Music, Wells Cathedral School, the Purcell School and St. Mary's Music School, Edinburgh. It is mainly funded by the Department for Education's Music and Dance Scheme, by philanthropic foundations, by donations and bequests from individuals, and by regular support from the Friends of the Yehudi Menuhin School. Yehudi Menuhin founded the school to provide an environment and tuition for musically gifted children from all over the world to pursue their love of music, develop their musical potential, and achieve standards of performance on stringed instruments and piano at the highest level. Today's School provides a holistic musical and academic education for around 85 students aged from 8 to 19, with specialist tuition on the stringed instruments, piano and classical guitar. The majority of the school's pupils are boarders, with roughly a dozen day pupils, mainly in the younger age groups. It is the school's ambition to be 'needs-blind' in its admission process. Parents are charged fees in accordance with their ability to pay, with around three-quarters supported by the Music and Dance Scheme and the remainder assisted by bursaries from the school. The school is a registered charity under English law.The Menuhin Hall located in the school grounds hosts a full programme of concerts throughout the year.

Little Heath, sometimes spelt as "Littleheath", is an area of Cobham in the borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England. It boarders the nearby villages of Oxshott and Stoke d'Abernon.

Cobham Park is a set of about 22 apartments in and around a converted country mansion and associated lawn, gardens, fields and woodlands in the mainly rural south of the parish of Cobham, Surrey in England. Its old extent takes in the majority of Downside, Surrey, centred on a row of staff cottages. A medieval predecessor was home to a local lord of the manor. In the 1720s a new mansion was built in the large grounds. John Ligonier, 1st Earl Ligonier made it his home and within a few decades it was bought by Harvey Christian Combe, of Combe Delafield and Co. brewery, a member of the Combe family and once elected Lord Mayor of London. Much of the estate, but excluding the main house, is owned by the same family. There are fields on the quite high left bank of the River Mole; much of it is protected Metropolitan Green Belt and the subject of other environmental protections.

Downside is a small village in the English county of Surrey, in the local government district of Elmbridge, centred on Downside Common which is 18 miles (29 km) southwest of London and 8.4 miles (13.5 km) northeast of Guildford. Most of its buildings form a cluster. It has an inn, Downside Sports and Social Club, regular village hall events and an annual sports day. It is in the Cobham and Downside ward of Elmbridge Borough Council.

Bookham Commons are two commons, situated just to the north of the villages of Great Bookham and Little Bookham, in Surrey, England, 154.7 hectares (382 acres) in extent; the individual parts are named Great Bookham Common and Little Bookham Common. A group of dwellings known as the Isle of Wight is situated within the site, and a track, Common Road, leads to it from the northwest. Little Bookham Common (the smaller of the two parts of the site) lies south and west of this track, whereas Great Bookham Common lies to the east. Together the two commons comprise a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The site is owned by the National Trust. A network of public footpaths and public bridleways cross the site: in addition, there are a number of concessionary horse rides.

Cobham () is a large village in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey, England, centred 17 miles (27 km) south-west of London and 10 miles (16 km) northeast of Guildford on the River Mole. It has a commercial/services High Street, a significant number of primary and private schools and the Painshill landscape park.

Cobham services is a motorway service area on the M25 motorway in Surrey between junctions 9 and 10. It is operated by Extra MSA and was opened for business on 13 September 2012. Its planned opening date was scheduled to be early 2010, but was changed to early 2012 following various planning issues. The services were constructed as there was concern with the large 65 mile (104 km) gap without any service areas. At either end of that stretch of motorway was South Mimms services and Clacket Lane services, and the Secretary of State explained there was a clear and compelling need for a further service area. The other service area serving the motorway is Thurrock. Cobham services is the busiest service station in the UK.
