Locust Projects is a nonprofit alternative art space located in Miami, Florida. The space was created in 1998 by three artists Westen Charles, COOPER and Elizabeth Withstandley. The space was created to serve as a place for contemporary artists to create site specific works outside of the commercial gallery system. Locust Projects was one of the first spaces to open in Miami's Wynwood area, which has since turned into a vibrant arts district. In 2000 the artist-run space became incorporated, formed a board of directors and in 2002 became an official not for profit 501(3)(C). Locust Projects is currently located in 297 NE 67th St, Miami, FL 33138.

The de la Cruz Collection is an art museum at 23 NE 41st Street, Miami, Florida, owned by the Cuban-born American businessman Carlos de la Cruz and his wife Rosa. It houses their art collection and is open to the public free of charge. The de la Cruz Collection opened in 2009 and is housed in a 30,000 sq ft building, designed by John Marquette. The collection includes works by Isa Genzken, Christopher Wool, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Mark Bradford, Peter Doig, Dan Colen, Nate Lowman.Since 1998, ArtNews listed Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz in their worldwide survey of the "Top 200 Collectors".

Design and Architecture Senior High School (DASH) is a magnet secondary school in the heart of the Design District in Miami, Florida, United States. U.S. News & World Report ranked DASH as the 15th best public high school in the nation in 2009 and 16th best in 2012. Stacey Mancuso led DASH as Principal for 17 years from 1999 to 2016. The current principal is Dr. Maggie Rodriguez, who joined the school in 2022. DASH is a part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools district.

The Haitian Heritage Museum Miami is located in Miami, Florida and exhibits art, culture and heritage from Haiti. It was founded in 2004 by Eveline Pierre and Serge Rodriguez. commemorating Haiti's Bicentennial.

Midtown Miami Residences consists of three residential towers located in Midtown Miami.The buildings are located on Northeast 1st Avenue between Northwest 32nd Street and Northwest 35th Street, on the site of the former Buena Vista rail yard. Gold Krown Financial purchased a total of 538 units from a group of lenders represented by HSBC for approximately $110 million in 2012. Midblock consists of nine stories and 173 units. According to CityBizList, the building was originally planned as a condominium but was converted to rentals as a result of the 2008 economic downturn. Construction on Midblock was completed in 2008 and beginning in 2011 Beztak Companies managed the rental program. Tenant occupancy was consistently more than 90 percent. Gold Krown Financial converted Midblock from a rental building back to a condominium in August 2013.4 Midtown is a 33-story tower with 304 units, ranging from 638 square feet to 1,842 square feet with penthouses up to 3,557 square feet. Gold Krown hired RS3 Designs to renovate the lobby, rooftop pool deck and fitness center in 2012. More than 70 percent of buyers purchasing units in 4 Midtown were Florida locals. In 2013, Gold Krown Financial offered 97 percent financing through a loan program aimed at emerging neighborhoods.2 Midtown is a 29-story tower with 337 units, ranging from 493 square feet to 5,070 square feet with penthouses up to 3,990 square feet. 2 Midtown was designed by Zyscovich Architects.

The Miami Design District is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, United States, and a shopping, dining and cultural destination—home to over 130 art galleries, showrooms, creative services, architecture firms, luxury fashion stores, antiques dealers, eateries and bars.Roughly bound by North 36 St (US 27) to the south, North 43rd Street to the north, West First Avenue to the west and Biscayne Boulevard to the east, the Design District is in the crossroads of many prominent Miami neighborhoods: the artsy Wynwood neighborhood to the south, Lemon City (Little Haiti) and the historic 1920s Buena Vista neighborhood to the north, and the wealthy Upper East Side neighborhoods to the east. Midtown Miami is the collective term for the Wynwood and Edgewater neighborhoods of Miami, Florida. It is located north of Downtown and south of the Miami Design District and is roughly bound by North 20th Street to the south, I-195 to the north, I-95 to the west, and Biscayne Bay to the east. In 2005, construction began on the "Midtown Miami" development between North 29th and 36th Street and Miami Avenue and the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) on what was historically an FEC rail yard. The project is a large-scale, urban development that was planned with 8 high-rise residential buildings, a hotel, two parks, and a major urban shopping area, "The Shops at Midtown". Due to the collapse of the real estate bubble in 2007, only two residential buildings, and about 2/3 of "The Shops at Midtown" were built. In July 2011, plans were announced to begin construction on a new entertainment center at Midtown, including a hotel, and shops on the site of the current temporary park in the center of Midtown. Critics of Midtown state the lack of parks as a major issue.
