Val-de-Ruz

Villiers is a former municipality in the district of Val-de-Ruz in the canton of Neuchâtel in Switzerland. The municipalities of Boudevilliers, Cernier, Chézard-Saint-Martin, Coffrane, Dombresson, Engollon, Fenin-Vilars-Saules, Fontainemelon, Fontaines, Les Geneveys-sur-Coffrane, Les Hauts-Geneveys, Montmollin, Le Pâquier, Savagnier and Villiers merged on 1 January 2013 into the new municipality of Val-de-Ruz.

(Chaumont (Neuchâtel)) is a mountain peak in Switzerland in the Jura Mountains, with a maximum altitude of 1,180 m (3,870 ft). Below the southern face is the city of Neuchâtel and the lake with the same name. Funiculaire de Chaumont provides access to the summit from Neuchâtel, starting in the station at La Coudre, rising 570m to an altitude of 1087m. At the summit, there is an observatory tower with a viewing platform 60m high, providing panoramic views.
