The International Tennis Hall of Fame is located in Newport, Rhode Island, United States. It honors both players and other contributors to the sport of tennis. The complex, the former Newport Casino, includes a museum, 13 grass tennis courts, an indoor tennis facility with three courts, three outdoor hard courts, one green clay court, a court tennis facility, and a theatre. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization with the goal of preserving, celebrating, and inspiring the sport of tennis around the world.

The Bellevue Avenue/Casino Historic District encompasses a one-block section of Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. Although Bellevue Avenue is best known for the large number of Gilded Age mansions which line it, especially further south, this block is a coherent collection of commercial buildings at the northern end of the mansion row. It is anchored around the Newport Casino, now the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and includes three other buildings on the east side of Bellevue Avenue between Memorial Boulevard and East Bowery Street. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Infosys Hall of Fame Open is an international tennis tournament that has been held every year in July since 1976 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, the original location of the U.S. National Championships. The event, which was part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit from 1976 to 1989, typically features a 28 or 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles tournament. Each year that the tournament has been held there is an induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame. The tournament is held on outdoor grass courts, and is the last grass court tournament of the season on the ATP tour and the only grass court tournament played outside Europe, as well as the only one played after Wimbledon. Up until 2011, when John Isner won the tournament, the top seed had never triumphed at Newport, a trait that has led to the moniker "the Casino Curse", due to the location of the Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino. It is hosted in the week directly after Wimbledon. As such the tournament tends to get few top players competing in it; for example in 2008 its top two seeds were Mardy Fish and Fabrice Santoro, who going into the tournament had world rankings of 41 and 57, while 8th seed Kevin Anderson was ranked outside the top 100, at 115. Arguably its five most famous champions are former World No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt, former World No. 4 Greg Rusedski, former two-time Grand Slam runners-up Mark Philippoussis and Kevin Anderson, and two-time Australian Open winner Johan Kriek. During the tournament, Tennis Hall of Famers are officially inducted in front of family, friends, fans, and fellow members of the Tennis Hall of Fame.

The Newport Casino is an athletic complex and recreation center located at 180–200 Bellevue Avenue, Newport, Rhode Island in the Bellevue Avenue/Casino Historic District. Built in 1879–1881 by New York Herald publisher James Gordon Bennett, Jr., it was designed in the Shingle style by the newly formed firm of McKim, Mead & White. The Newport Casino was the firm's first major commission and helped to establish the firm's national reputation. Built as a social club, it included courts for both lawn tennis and court tennis, facilities for other games, such as squash and lawn bowling, club rooms for reading, socializing, card-playing, and billiards, shops, and a convertible theater and ballroom. It became a center of Newport's social life during the Gilded Age through the 1920s.The casino was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The complex, which was the site of the earliest American lawn tennis championships, now houses the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The Newport Casino also hosted the first Newport Jazz Festival in 1954.

The Audrain Building is an architecturally significant commercial building located at 222 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. It is situated adjacent to the Newport Casino and is a contributing property to the Bellevue Avenue/Casino Historic District. The building was constructed in 1902–1903 for Adolphe L. Audrain and was designed by noted New York architect Bruce Price. It is one of four buildings that form a distinguished central block within Newport, the others being the Travers Block by Richard Morris Hunt, the Newport Casino by McKim, Mead, and White, and the King Block by Perkins and Betton.The building is two stories tall and forms six shop-front bays, with exterior dimensions of 110 by 73.5 feet. It is faced in red brick with brightly colored terra cotta trim in the style of the Italian Renaissance artist Luca della Robbia accentuating the bays and roofline. Street-level ornamentation is relatively restrained but increases at the arched second floor windows and cornice. The facade also features copies of della Robbia's swaddled infants from the Hospital of the Innocents in Florence. Recently renovated, the new owner has brought the building back to its original condition. The Audrain Building is located in the Bellevue Avenue/Casino Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Newport Art Museum, founded in 1912 as the Art Association of Newport, is located at 76 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. The museum operates a gallery in the John N. A. Griswold House, a National Historic Landmark that is one of the first American Stick Style buildings. It was designed by the noted American architect, Richard Morris Hunt in 1864 and one was one of his first commissions in Newport. The museum purchased the house in 1915. The museum's second gallery space was built in 1919 and was designed by Delano & Aldrich. Dedicated to the memory of the artist Howard Gardiner Cushing, the museum added the Sarah Rives lobby and Morris Gallery to the building in 1990.The museum's school is the Coleman Center for Creative Studies at 26 Liberty Street.

The National Tennis Club (NTC) is a court tennis (also known as "real tennis") club in Newport, Rhode Island, United States. Its home is the reconstructed Court Tennis Building at the Newport Casino. The National Tennis Club hosted the Real Tennis World Championship match in 2004, when Robert Fahey successfully defended his title against Tim Chisholm. The Court Tennis Building was constructed as part of the original Casino complex in 1880 and in 1980 the National Tennis Court was rededicated, largely through the efforts of Clarence "Clarry" Pell, as the symbolic home of the sport in the United States.

The John N. A. Griswold House is a historic house located at 76 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island. It was built in 1864 for John Noble Alsop Griswold, an Old China Trade merchant and member of the Griswold Family, and was designed by Richard Morris Hunt in the American Stick style, one of the earliest buildings in that style, and one of Hunt's first works in Newport. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2000. It is now one of the galleries of the Newport Art Museum, and is a project of Save America’s Treasures.

Kingscote is a Gothic Revival mansion and house museum at Bowery Street and Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island, designed by Richard Upjohn and built in 1839. As one of the first summer "cottages" constructed in Newport, it is now a National Historic Landmark. It was remodeled and extended by George Champlin Mason and later by Stanford White. It was owned by the King family from 1864 until 1972, when it was given to the Preservation Society of Newport County.

Matthew Perry Monument is a statue commemorating Commodore Matthew C. Perry. The statue is situated in Touro Park facing Bellevue Avenue in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island and was designed by John Quincy Adams Ward in 1869. The pedestal was designed by Richard Morris Hunt.The statue is described: Standing figure of Perry wearing his Naval uniform with tassels on the shoulders and a cape jacket draped over his proper right shoulder. His proper left hand rests on the hilt of a sword. The circular base has four bronze bas-reliefs that represent events in Perry's life: Africa (1843), Mexico (1846) and the Treaty with Japan (1[8]54)--Reception of President's letter and negotiation of the Treaty.

The Clifton Burying Ground is an early colonial cemetery located in Newport, Rhode Island, United States. It is a Quaker cemetery, and has the graves of four Rhode Island colonial governors.

The Newport Tower, also known as the Old Stone Mill, is a round stone tower located in Touro Park in Newport, Rhode Island, the remains of a windmill built in the mid-17th century. It has received attention due to speculation that it is actually several centuries older and would thus represent evidence of pre-Columbian trans-oceanic contact. Carbon dating shows this belief to be incorrect. Other names given to the tower include Round Tower, Touro Tower, Viking Tower, and Newport Stone Tower.
