The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 127 acres (51.4 ha), is an arboretum, botanical garden, and historical site nestled into hills near the San Gabriel Mountains in Arcadia, California, United States. Open daily, it only closes on Christmas Day.The Arboretum is located across the street from Santa Anita Park, the horse racetrack, and The Shops at Santa Anita.

Baldwin Lake is a sag pond in the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, which is in the San Gabriel Valley of Southern California, south of the San Gabriel Mountains. The pond, arboretum, and botanic garden are all within the city of Arcadia.The pond is fed by stormwater and natural springs; water flows out of the pond to the aquifer at Raymond Fault, and on to the Rio Hondo. Baldwin Lake is part of the Los Angeles River watershed. The area of the pond is about 4 acres (1.6 ha). Silt and pollutants embedded in the pond by surface runoff have reduced its depth from about 12 feet (3.7 m) to 30 inches (760 mm).

The Grizzly Flats Railroad (GFRR) was a 3-foot (914 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad owned by Disney animator Ward Kimball at his home in San Gabriel, California. The railroad had 900 feet (274.3 m) of track, and was operated from 1942 to 2006. It was the first full-size backyard railroad in the United States. The GFRR was notable for helping Walt Disney rediscover his childhood fascination with trains, which led him to build the Carolwood Pacific Railroad, a ridable miniature railroad in his backyard. The GFRR also influenced the design of the Disneyland Railroad within the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California. The GFRR's rolling stock, including the two steam locomotives owned by Kimball, are now on display at the Southern California Railway Museum (formerly the Orange Empire Railway Museum) in Perris, California. The railroad's depot building and water tower were moved to the Justi Creek Railway, a private railroad owned by John Lasseter.

The Reid-Baldwin Adobe, formerly called the Hugo Reid Adobe, is an adobe house built in 1839. It is located at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia, California. The Hugo Reid Adobe was designated a California Historic Landmark (No. 368) on April 3, 1940. The Reid Adobe was built by Scottish−Mexican Hugo Reid on the shore of what is now called Baldwin Lake, with the help of local natives. Reid received the full Mexican land grant for Rancho Santa Anita in 1845, which included 13,319 acres of land. Reid farmed some of the land and planted grape vines.Hugo Reid (1811–1852), born in Scotland, was an early resident of Los Angeles County who became a naturalized citizen of California (then a part of Mexico) in 1839. He married Barolomea, a respected Gabrieleño woman, who became known as Victoria Reid. Born at the village of Comicranga and taken to San Gabriel Mission at the age of six, Bartolomea was married at the age of 13 to an older indigenous man, as arranged by the Franciscan fathers. The couple later were given small plots of land for their work at the mission. When the mission was secularized, Bartolomea had been widowed and had remarried, to Hugo Reid. As he was not yet a naturalized citizen, she received a land grant in her name alone. Their marriage elevated Hugo's status, as she was a well-connected mission Indian.Elias Jackson “Lucky” Baldwin purchased Rancho Santa Anita in 1875. In 1879 Baldwin added a wooden wing to the old adobe home. Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin (1828–1909) was a pioneer of California business, an investor, and real estate speculator during the second half of the 19th century. He earned the nickname "Lucky" Baldwin due to his extraordinary good fortune in a number of business deals. He built the luxury Baldwin Hotel and Theatre in San Francisco and bought vast tracts of land in Southern California, where a number of places and neighborhoods are named after him.In 1947 the state and county acquired the land to create an arboretum around the lake and historic Reid-Baldwin structures.

Queen Anne Cottage and Coach Barn is a Victorian style pair of buildings at Baldwin Lake, on the grounds of the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, located in Arcadia and the San Gabriel Valley of southern California. Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin built the elaborate Coach Barn near the pond in 1879, and 'Baldwin's Belvedere' or the Santa Anita Ranch Guest Cottage on a peninsula in the pond in 1885−1886. They are a California Historical Landmark, and were placed on the National Register of Historic Places for their significance as examples of Queen Anne Style architecture and for the associated, largely intact Victorian landscape design gardens.

Founded in 1926, Clairbourn School is a coeducational, private school that includes preschool, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school grades (JPK-8th). Located in San Gabriel, California, the school primarily serves families living in the Pasadena, San Marino, Arcadia areas, but also draws many families from La Cañada Flintridge, Monterey Park, Glendale, Alhambra, Altadena, South Pasadena, and other cities in the San Gabriel Valley. Clairbourn is a member of The Pasadena Area Independent Schools consortium.

KAZN (1300 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to Pasadena, California, KAZN serves the Greater Los Angeles area with a Mandarin Chinese language format. The station was founded in 1948 as KAGH. From 1950 to 1989, the station had call sign KWKW; it had a Spanish format for much of that time, including Spanish language broadcasts of Los Angeles Dodgers games. In 1988, the station was sold to NetworksAmerica; the following year, it converted to a multilingual Asian format in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, and Vietnamese and became KAZN. Beginning in 1993, KAZN broadcast full time in Chinese. Multicultural Broadcasting has owned KAZN since 1998. KAZN broadcasts talk and entertainment shows geared towards Mandarin speakers in the Los Angeles area. In the Pomona Valley, KAZN is simulcast on KAHZ.

KMRB (1430 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to San Gabriel, California, KMRB serves the Greater Los Angeles area with a Cantonese language format. It is owned and operated by Multicultural Broadcasting. The station originally signed on in 1942 as KWKW. From 1950 to 1999, the station had call sign KALI; it launched a Spanish format in the late 1950s. In 1994, Multicultural Broadcasting purchased KALI and converted it to its present Chinese format.
