Sierra Madre Villa station is a light rail station on the A Line of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system. It is located in the median of Interstate 210 (Foothill Freeway), at Sierra Madre Villa Avenue, in Pasadena, California. The light rail station opened on July 26, 2003, as the northern terminus of the original Gold Line, then known as the "Pasadena Metro Blue Line" project. The station, under naming schemes, is named for Sierra Madre Villa Avenue rather than the nearby city of Sierra Madre, although the major thoroughfare leads to Sierra Madre. The station has a 965 space, five-floor parking garage, accessed from Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and North Halstead Street. The first floor of the parking garage has a multi-bay bus plaza, and the fourth floor has the train platform access, with faregates, ticket vending machines, and a pedestrian bridge, which passes over the westbound lanes of the Foothill Freeway. Sierra Madre Villa was the Gold Line's northern terminus from 2003 until 2016. Service on the first phase of the Gold Line Foothill Extension Project began on March 5, 2016, which extended the line to APU/Citrus College station.

Chapman, also known as Chapman Woods is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It is bordered by Del Mar Boulevard to the north, Huntington Drive to the south, the Eaton Wash to the west, and Highway 19 (Rosemead Boulevard) to the east. Chapman is an anomaly in that part of the neighborhood is in incorporated Pasadena while part is in unincorporated Los Angeles County. The region is named after Alfred Chapman who purchased the surrounding land and built his home on the corner of present-day California Boulevard and Ivydale Court.

The Oaks is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It is bordered by Mountain Street to the north, Interstate 210 to the south, the El Molino Avenue to the east, and Los Robles Avenue to the west.

El Rancho Santa Anita Shopping Center in Arcadia, California was one of the first planned shopping centers in suburban Los Angeles, opened in 1948-1950, and later anchored by a large May Company department store. The May Company building is now empty, but the center remains anchored by a supermarket.

It is bordered by Sierra Madre Boulevard to the north, Foothill Boulevard to the south, the Eaton Wash to the west, and Sierra Madre Villa Avenue to the east. Lamanda Park is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It is bordered roughly by Foothill Boulevard to the north, Del Mar Boulevard to the south, the Eaton Wash to the east, and Allen Avenue to the west, with a panhandle extending south along the western bank of the Eaton Wash. Like Annandale, it was originally a small township that was gradually enveloped by Pasadena. It was annexed in 1920. Even today, many commercial enterprises and newspapers still identify the area as a separate community. Lamanda is a name derived from Spanish meaning "the proposal".

Daisy-Villa is a neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It is bordered by Sierra Madre Boulevard to the west, Orange Grove Boulevard to the north, the 210 Freeway to the south, and the Eaton Wash to the east. Daisy-Villa is an exclusively residential neighborhood with approximately 350 homes. The neighborhood is named after two streets that meet in the center of the community.

KAZN (1300 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to Pasadena, California, KAZN serves the Greater Los Angeles area with a Mandarin Chinese language format. The station was founded in 1948 as KAGH. From 1950 to 1989, the station had call sign KWKW; it had a Spanish format for much of that time, including Spanish language broadcasts of Los Angeles Dodgers games. In 1988, the station was sold to NetworksAmerica; the following year, it converted to a multilingual Asian format in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, and Vietnamese and became KAZN. Beginning in 1993, KAZN broadcast full time in Chinese. Multicultural Broadcasting has owned KAZN since 1998. KAZN broadcasts talk and entertainment shows geared towards Mandarin speakers in the Los Angeles area. In the Pomona Valley, KAZN is simulcast on KAHZ.

KMRB (1430 AM) is a broadcast radio station in the United States. Licensed to San Gabriel, California, KMRB serves the Greater Los Angeles area with a Cantonese language format. It is owned and operated by Multicultural Broadcasting. The station originally signed on in 1942 as KWKW. From 1950 to 1999, the station had call sign KALI; it launched a Spanish format in the late 1950s. In 1994, Multicultural Broadcasting purchased KALI and converted it to its present Chinese format.

The Grizzly Flats Railroad (GFRR) was a 3-foot (914 mm) narrow-gauge heritage railroad owned by Disney animator Ward Kimball at his home in San Gabriel, California. The railroad had 900 feet (274.3 m) of track, and was operated from 1942 to 2006. It was the first full-size backyard railroad in the United States. The GFRR was notable for helping Walt Disney rediscover his childhood fascination with trains, which led him to build the Carolwood Pacific Railroad, a ridable miniature railroad in his backyard. The GFRR also influenced the design of the Disneyland Railroad within the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim, California. The GFRR's rolling stock, including the two steam locomotives owned by Kimball, are now on display at the Southern California Railway Museum (formerly the Orange Empire Railway Museum) in Perris, California. The railroad's depot building and water tower were moved to the Justi Creek Railway, a private railroad owned by John Lasseter.
