Colegio Nuestra Señora de las Maravillas (English:Our Lady of Wonders) is a private Catholic school in Madrid, Spain, belonging to the order of La Salle founded in 1892 by Brother Justinus Marie, belonging to the Brothers of the Christian Schools of La Salle. The current director is Juanjo Cerrajero Amat about 2,000 students, compared with 10 who had the opening day.

The Embassy of the Philippines in Madrid is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Spain. República Argentina (Argentine Republic) is a station on Line 6 of the Madrid Metro. The station is located beneath the Plaza de la República Argentina (Argentine Republic Square) in the neighborhood of El Viso in Chamartín district in fare Zone A.The station was already included in a development plan from 1967, but wasn't opened until 10 October 1979, when the first stretch of Line 6 was inaugurated.

Edificio Rockefeller (literally Rockefeller Building) is the popular name of a building in Madrid, Spain that is headquarters of Instituto Nacional de Física y Química (National Institute of Physics and Chemistry). Opened in 1932, Edificio Rockefeller is located within the central campus of the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas), According to architects Manuel Sánchez Arcas and Luis Lacasa, the building was named Edificio Rockefeller because the Rockefeller Foundation in the United States funded its construction and equipment. The architects were selected to bring to the building the new principles of rationalist functionalism. Edificio Rockefeller owes its historical reputation for the work performed there until the Spanish Civil War. Some of the most important physical and chemical scientists in Spanish history Blas Cabrera, Miguel A. Catalán and Enrique Moles, were part of this first Spanish school of physics and physical chemistry.

The Monument to José Martí is an instance of public art in Madrid, Spain. A gift from the Republic of Cuba to Madrid, the monument is dedicated to José Martí, a Cuban writer and activist noted for his struggle in favour of the independence from Spain.

Paseo de la Castellana, commonly known as La Castellana, is a major street in Madrid, Spain. Cutting across the city from South to North, it has been described as the "true structuring axis" of the city.

Entreculturas is a non-governmental organization for development cooperation, the international social outreach of the Spanish Province of Jesuits, founded in Madrid in 1985. It focuses mainly on educating the poor in Latin America and Africa, while responding to humanitarian crises and also educating to global awareness in Spain.

The National Historical Archive of Spain (Archivo Histórico Nacional) is based in Serrano Street in Madrid. It was founded in the nineteenth century when it shared a building with the Real Academía de la Historia. The collections of the Archive include sections housed outside Madrid, for example the General Archive of the Spanish Civil War in Salamanca.

The Residencia de Estudiantes, literally the "Student Residence", is a centre of Spanish cultural life in Madrid. The Residence was founded to provide accommodation for students along the lines of classic colleges at Bologna, Salamanca, Cambridge or Oxford. It became established as a cultural institution that helped foster and create the intellectual environment of Spain's brightest young thinkers, writers, and artists. The students there included Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel and Federico García Lorca. Distinguished guests and speakers included Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Juan Ramón Jiménez or Rafael Alberti. It was one of the most vibrant and successful experiences of scientific and artistic creation and exchange of interwar Europe. Its activities were stopped during the Spanish Civil War. After the civil war the academic policies of Francoist Spain created around the Residencia de Estudiantes the Spanish National Research Council, where it was integrated as the guest house. Since Spain's transition to democracy, efforts have been made to reinvigorate the institution.

El Pozo Station is a Cercanías station in Vallecas neighborhood (Madrid). It was opened on July 15, 1992 and it is located in El Pozo area. It belongs to lines C-2 and C-7 of Cercanías Madrid. On the morning of March 11, 2004, a double-decker commuter train exploded with two bombs at this station, thus killing 67 people. It was later discovered that the Islamic terrorist cell Al-Qaeda was behind the attack.

It services the districts of Tetuán, Chamberí, and Chamartín. The station serves Metro Line 6, Line 8, and Line 10, as well as Cercanías Lines C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-7, C-8, and C-10. It is located in Metro fare zone A and Cercanías fare zone 0.
