The Residencia de Estudiantes, literally the "Student Residence", is a centre of Spanish cultural life in Madrid. The Residence was founded to provide accommodation for students along the lines of classic colleges at Bologna, Salamanca, Cambridge or Oxford. It became established as a cultural institution that helped foster and create the intellectual environment of Spain's brightest young thinkers, writers, and artists. The students there included Salvador Dalí, Luis Buñuel and Federico García Lorca. Distinguished guests and speakers included Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Juan Ramón Jiménez or Rafael Alberti. It was one of the most vibrant and successful experiences of scientific and artistic creation and exchange of interwar Europe. Its activities were stopped during the Spanish Civil War. After the civil war the academic policies of Francoist Spain created around the Residencia de Estudiantes the Spanish National Research Council, where it was integrated as the guest house. Since Spain's transition to democracy, efforts have been made to reinvigorate the institution.

Edificio Rockefeller (literally Rockefeller Building) is the popular name of a building in Madrid, Spain that is headquarters of Instituto Nacional de Física y Química (National Institute of Physics and Chemistry). Opened in 1932, Edificio Rockefeller is located within the central campus of the CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas), According to architects Manuel Sánchez Arcas and Luis Lacasa, the building was named Edificio Rockefeller because the Rockefeller Foundation in the United States funded its construction and equipment. The architects were selected to bring to the building the new principles of rationalist functionalism. Edificio Rockefeller owes its historical reputation for the work performed there until the Spanish Civil War. Some of the most important physical and chemical scientists in Spanish history Blas Cabrera, Miguel A. Catalán and Enrique Moles, were part of this first Spanish school of physics and physical chemistry.

IE Business School is a graduate and undergraduate school of business, located in Madrid, Spain. It was founded in 1973 under the name Instituto de Empresa and since 2009 is part of IE University. IE Business School runs BBA, MBA, Executive MBA, master's degree programs in finance and management, executive education programs, PhD and DBA programs.

Entreculturas is a non-governmental organization for development cooperation, the international social outreach of the Spanish Province of Jesuits, founded in Madrid in 1985. It focuses mainly on educating the poor in Latin America and Africa, while responding to humanitarian crises and also educating to global awareness in Spain.

The Monument to Isabella the Catholic (Spanish: Monumento a Isabel la Católica) is an instance of public art located in Madrid, Spain. A work by Manuel Oms, the monument is a sculptural bronze ensemble consisting of an equestrian statue of Isabella of Castile, accompanied by Pedro González de Mendoza and Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba.

El Viso (Spanish pronunciation: [el ˈbiso]) is a neighborhood of Madrid, part of the Chamartín District. Consisting mainly of residential detached houses, it is currently the wealthiest neighborhood of the Spanish capital, overtaking the Salamanca District. Aristocrats, businessmen, politicians and diplomats have inhabited this area for half a century. The neighborhood also hosts the main headquarters of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).It features a roughly rectangular shape, limited by the Paseo de la Castellana, the Avenida de Concha Espina, the Calle del Príncipe de Vergara and the Calle de María de Molina. It has an area of 1.708046 km2 (0.659480 sq mi). As of 1 March 2020, it has a population of 17,502 .

The Lázaro Galdiano Museum (Spanish: Museo Lázaro Galdiano) is a museum located in Madrid, Spain. It houses the art collection of José Lázaro Galdiano. The museum was inaugurated on 27 January 1951.

República Argentina (Argentine Republic) is a station on Line 6 of the Madrid Metro. The station is located beneath the Plaza de la República Argentina (Argentine Republic Square) in the neighborhood of El Viso in Chamartín district in fare Zone A.The station was already included in a development plan from 1967, but wasn't opened until 10 October 1979, when the first stretch of Line 6 was inaugurated.

The Hand (Spanish: La mano) is a bronze sculpture by the Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero. Since 1994, it has been on public display in Madrid, Spain. The 500 kilogram hand is of a plump form, a trademark of the sculptor.The sculpture was one of twenty-one exhibits in a 1994 exhibition of Botero's work. After a public vote, Woman with Mirror was the sculpture that received the most votes and was gifted to the city by the artist. Madrid treasurer Fernando López Amor urged corporations to purchase other works and put them on public display. The Hand was bought by Telefónica in October 1994, for 70 million Spanish pesetas (around €420,000). Its matte finish made it more suitable than other exhibits for permanent outside display. A third Botero piece, Raptio of Europa, was installed at Madrid–Barajas Airport.In April 1995, Telefónica loaned the sculpture to the city and it was installed on Paseo de la Castellana. El País reported that its position seemed to point towards the Equestrian statue of Francisco Franco which then stood in the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz.

Marqués del Duero, also known as Monumento al Marqués del Duero ("Monument to the Marquis of the Duero"), is an instance of public art located in Madrid, Spain. Erected on the centre of the Plaza del Doctor Marañón, the monument consists of a bronze equestrian statue representing Manuel Gutiérrez de la Concha e Irigoyen—a general who stood out in the fight against Carlism—on a stone pedestal decorated with two reliefs.

The Church of San Agustín is a Roman Catholic temple located in Madrid, Spain. It is located at the Calle de Joaquín Costa, in El Viso neighborhood. Projected by Luis Moya Blanco in 1941, the building works started in 1946 and lasted until 1950. Described as "one of the best examples of 20th century religious architecture in the Community of Madrid", it was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 2019.

Gregorio Marañón is a station on Line 7 and Line 10 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in fare Zone A.
