Compton Terrace was a name given to two former outdoor amphitheaters for concerts, located in the Phoenix metropolitan area of Arizona. It was named in honor of a local radio personality and music promoter, William Edward Compton.

Phoenix Municipal Stadium is a baseball stadium, located in Phoenix, Arizona. It is often referred in short as Phoenix Muni. The stadium was built in 1964 and holds 8,775 people. It is currently the home to the Arizona State Sun Devils baseball program, having relocated to Phoenix Municipal Stadium at the start of their 2015 season. It is the former spring training home to the Oakland A's, having played their home games from 1982 to 2014. The San Francisco Giants held spring training at the ballpark from 1964 to 1981, when they moved to Scottsdale Stadium.

The National Historical Fire Foundation (better known as the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting) is a museum dedicated to the historical preservation of firefighting equipment used through the years around the world.The museum's artifacts were originally the private collection of George F. Getz Jr., who opened the original Hall of Flame in Wisconsin in 1961. The collection relocated to Phoenix in 1974, and has since grown into the world's largest historical firefighting museum.The museum has five large exhibit galleries, a video theater, and the National Firefighting Hall of Heroes, which commemorates U.S. firefighters who have died in the line of duty or have been decorated for acts of heroism. The equipment is grouped as: Gallery One: Hand & Horse Drawn (1725–1908); Gallery Two: Motorized Apparatus (1897–1951); Gallery Three: Motorized Apparatus (1918–1968); Gallery Four: Motorized Apparatus (1919–1950) and a smaller gallery devoted to Wildland Firefighting. It also has a large collection of fire department arm patches, early fire insurance marks, fire helmets, art objects and other types of graphics, as well as a children's play area. A number of the collection's vehicles are taken out of the Museum by volunteer operators to participate in Phoenix-area parades and other events.It is in Phoenix, Arizona at 6101 East Van Buren St across from the Phoenix Zoo and adjacent to the Phoenix Municipal Stadium.The name is a play on words on "Hall of Fame".

Priest Drive/Washington (also known as Papago Park Center) is a light rail station on Valley Metro Rail in Tempe, Arizona, United States. It is the tenth stop westbound and the nineteenth stop eastbound on the initial 20-mile (32 km) starter line. Eastbound trains start their service from this station in morning.

The Phoenix Zoo opened in 1962 and is the largest privately owned, non-profit zoo in the United States. Located in Phoenix, Arizona, the zoo was founded by Robert Maytag, a member of the Maytag family, and operates on 125 acres (51 ha) of land in the Papago Park area of Phoenix. It has been designated as a Phoenix Point of Pride.The zoo has over 1,400 animals on display and contains 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of walking trails. It is divided into four main themed areas or trails: The Arizona Trail (American Southwest flora and fauna), the Africa Trail (animals from Africa), the Tropics Trail (residents of the rain forests), and the Children's Trail, which includes a petting zoo.The zoo has been conservation minded from its inception. Soon after it opened it hosted what was thought to be the last few Arabian oryx, which formed the basis of the world herd created for Operation Oryx and eventually allowed the reintroduction of the species into the wild. It now includes a sanctuary to care for animals that are endangered or unwanted.

The New Tempe Arena was a proposed sports facility to be constructed in Tempe, Arizona which would have served as home arena for the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). This was part of a conceptual $1.7 billion Tempe Entertainment District. The proposal also included hotels, retail, apartments, and a theater. It was rejected by City of Tempe voters on May 16, 2023.

Center Parkway/Washington (also known as Center Parkway Station) is a light rail station on the Metro line in Tempe, Arizona, United States.

Hunt's Tomb is a tomb in the shape of a small white pyramid behind a fence at the top of a hill within Papago Park, Phoenix, Arizona, United States. George W. P. Hunt (Arizona's first governor) had the tomb built in 1931 to entomb his wife. He was placed there after his death in 1934. Their daughter and his wife's family are also buried there. The tomb was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.The tomb is easily seen from anywhere in the southwest part of Papago Park on a sizable hill overlooking the Phoenix Zoo and offers a panoramic view of the eastern part of the Valley of the Sun. According to Roadside America "Dubbed "King George VII," he was a friend of the common man and a foe (sometimes) of the railroad and mining trusts, which he called "coyotes" and "skunks." Plaques on his pyramid declare that he was a descendant of an unnamed "Revolutionary War patriot," that he allowed women to vote in his state eight years before the rest of the country, and that he was elected governor seven times, which "set a national record."

Tovrea Castle is an historic structure and landmark at 5041 East Van Buren Street in Phoenix, Arizona on 44 acres bounded by the Red Mountain Freeway (State Route 202), Washington Street on the South, Van Buren Street on the North and the Main Post Office on the West. Locally known as the "Wedding Cake Castle," it was built from 1929 to 1931 in a vernacular Italianate Architectural Style by Alessio Carraro, and was originally intended as the hotel centerpiece of a planned destination resort. It became a private residence after its purchase in 1931 by E.A. and Della Tovrea. The castle is now part of the Phoenix Parks System and is designated as one of the Phoenix Points of Pride. Plans were to fully open the site to the public in 2009, but cost overruns delayed the opening. Currently the Castle and Grounds show over 5,000 individual cacti in over 100 different varieties, all maintained by Tovrea Carraro Society. The Society offers guided tours of the grounds, first floor, and basement along with special events as the Operator and Manager of the site. The castle was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Earlier names for the structure included "Carraro Heights" and "El Castillo". Current signs label it "Tovrea Castle at Carrarro Heights".

Hole-in-the-Rock is a natural geological formation in Papago Park, a municipal park of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona.

The Tovrea Stockyards were stockyards operated by the Tovrea Land and Cattle Company that existed in Phoenix, Arizona. Existing on 200 acres, it was once considered the largest feedlot in the world, until encroaching development led to its eventual closure in the late-20th century.It also lends its name to the nearby Tovrea Castle, located to the north of the property.

50th Street/Washington is a light rail station on the Valley Metro system in Phoenix, Arizona. It is between 44th Street/Washington and Center Pkwy/Washington stations. The station was built as an infill project to serve the Ability360 recreation center and include disability-friendly features that go beyond federal requirements, such as a more gradual slope and wider platforms. The station opened on April 25, 2019, and cost $22.9 million using funds derived from a light rail initiative passed in 2015.
