St Mary's Church, Rolleston on Dove

Rolleston on Dove, also known simply as Rolleston, is a village and civil parish in the East Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England near Burton upon Trent. On 28 March 1983 the parish was renamed from "Rolleston" to "Rolleston on Dove". According to the University of Nottingham English Place-names project, the settlement name Rolleston could mean 'Hrothwulf's farm/settlement' or 'Hrolfr's farm/settlement'. The 2011 census for Rolleston returned 1,467 households and 3,267 residents.

Rolleston Hall was a country house in Rolleston-on-Dove, Staffordshire. Originally built in the early 17th century for Sir Edward Mosley, it had been substantially renovated after a fire in 1871. It was the seat of the Mosley family until the house was demolished in 1928.

Marston on Dove (historically Marston Upon Dove) is a village and civil parish in South Derbyshire, nine miles (14 km) south west of Derby and two miles (3.2 km) east of Tutbury. The Church of St Mary at Marston has the oldest bell in Derbyshire, which was cast in Leicester in 1366 and inscribed with the words "Hail Mary" by John de Stafford.

It was originally built as a railway line stretching from Tutbury and into Burton on Trent. However, today it remains as a rural walk kept as a nature conservation area stretching approximately 2 kilometres.

Horninglow and Eton is a civil parish in the East Staffordshire district, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It covers an area located in the west of Burton upon Trent, including Horninglow. In 2021 the parish had a population of 15,700. The parish was created on 1 April 2003.

Stretton is a large village and civil parish in Staffordshire, England. It is situated on the northern outskirts of Burton upon Trent and is effectively a suburb of that town. The name is Old English and means Street Town and comes it being on the Roman road called Ryknild Street. The population of the parish at the 2001 census was 8,355, increasing to 8,611 at the 2011 Census. The River Dove which forms the border between Staffordshire and Derbyshire flows past the eastern side of the village. The Trent and Mersey Canal also passes through. Stretton was served by a railway station (Stretton and Claymills railway station) which was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway on 1 January 1901. There was also a Stretton Junction. The station and the North Staffordshire Railway line have now gone. Today the principal transport link is the A38 road which passes through. It is home to the sports and social clubs of Stretton Eagles and Stretton Wanderers. It also shares a nature trail with the neighbouring village of Rolleston on Dove. Schools include Fountains High School, Fountains Primary School and William Shrewsbury Primary School. The parish church of Stretton is St Mary's, part of the Diocese of Lichfield. The Dovecliff Hall Hotel is a Grade II listed country house to the north of the village.
