Stump Pass Beach State Park

Grove City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Charlotte County, Florida, United States. The population was 2,174 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Sarasota-Bradenton-Punta Gorda Combined Statistical Area.

Lemon Bay High School (LBHS) is a public high school located in Englewood, Florida, USA. It serves grades nine to twelve and is operated by Charlotte County Public Schools.Lemon Bay High School takes students from Charlotte County, Lee County and Sarasota County because Englewood and Boca Grande are split between the three counties.

Don Pedro Island is a barrier island in southwest Florida, in Charlotte County. It is just north of Little Gasparilla Island, separated by a thin strip of beach and mangrove swamp. It lies west of the census-designated place Rotonda West, separated by a narrow channel. Don Pedro Island is part of the archipelago of islands which include Little Gasparilla Island, Knight Island and Thornton Key. The islands are often referred to as Palm Island due to the resort on the northern part of the archipelago. These islands were originally separated by narrow inlets that ran from the gulf to the intracoastal channel, which separates them from the mainland. As a result of beach replenishment projects, these inlets have been closed off with the formation of a continuous beach that now connects them. This archipelago which now resembles one island is separated from Stump Pass Beach State Recreation Area by Stump Pass to the north. It borders the Gulf of Mexico to the west. Don Pedro Island State Park is located on the island. There is no bridge to the island. It is only accessible by boat or car ferry. There are many private residences on the island and much of the island is taken up by the Palm Island Resort. There is only one restaurant on Don Pedro, Rum Bay Restaurant, located on the north end of the island. The only small general store on the island is located on the first floor directly below the Rum Bay restaurant.The island has an abundance of wildlife. There are a number of indigenous gopher turtles, snakes and rabbits. There is also quite a variety of birds including osprey, pelicans, great blue herons, frigate birds, woodpeckers and owls. The beaches are well known for their abundance of shark teeth and shells.

Don Pedro Island State Recreation Area is a state park in the U.S. state of Florida. It is located on a stretch of Don Pedro Island, a 129-acre (0.52 km2) barrier island lying across the Intracoastal Waterway from Placida in Charlotte County, between Palm Island and Little Gasparilla Island. The park has mangrove forests, dunes and white beaches. Activities include swimming, sunbathing, shelling and viewing nature. Among the wildlife of the park are loggerhead turtles. Amenities include beaches, docks, and picnic areas as well as guided nature talks and walks. The park is only accessible by boat and is open from 8:00 am till sundown year round. The easiest way to get there is Palm Island Transit. The location of the Palm Island Transit is 2000 Panama Boulevard, Englewood, Florida.

Gottfried Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Florida.Gottfried Creek took the name of the Gottfried family, the original owners of the land where the creek is located.

Wildflower Preserve is an 80-acre preserve located on the Cape Haze peninsula in Charlotte County, Florida. It was formerly used as a golf course. The property includes upland habitats and fresh water ponds that feed into Lemon Creek and on to Lemon Bay.

Manasota Key is a census-designated place (CDP) consisting mainly of the community of Englewood Beach in Charlotte County, Florida, United States. The population of the CDP was 1,326 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Sarasota-Bradenton-Punta Gorda Combined Statistical Area.

Lemon Bay is a long, narrow and shallow body of water covering 8,000 acres in Charlotte County, Florida and Sarasota County, Florida. It is protected as the Lemon Bay Aquatic Preserve, designated in 1986. It is one of five Charlotte Harbor Aquatic Preserves. The bay is fed by one Gulf pass, Stump Pass, and seven tributaries and includes areas of mangrove, marsh grass, and seagrass. It provides habitat for bird, invertebrate and fish species and offers fishing, kayaking, birding, wading and beachcombing opportunities.The Lemon Bay Park and Environmental Center is a 210-acre natural county park in Englewood, Florida in Sarasota County, Florida. It includes black mangrove forest, mangrove fringe along the shoreline, and pine and scrubby flatwoods. Educational classes, guided nature and bird walks are offered at the site. The park has 1.7 miles of shoreline on the Lemon Bay Aquatic Preserve. The park includes a butterfly garden, canoe/ kayak launch, and interpretive nature trail. The park is located at 570 Bay Park Boulevard.

Castlewood High School is a high school located in Castlewood, Virginia. The school offers Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Career/Technical courses in addition to other academic courses. The school also offers classes with Virtual Virginia Schools. Castlewood High School was integrated in 1965 with students from Arty Lee High School in Dante, Virginia.

Cape Haze is a peninsula located in Charlotte County, Florida that is approximately 30 miles (48 km) long. It has an elevation of 7 feet (2.1 m). It includes the Wildflower Preserve, once used as a golf course, and the Cape Haze Pioneer Trail.
