Gartly Castle

Leith Hall is a country house in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was built in 1650, on the site of the medieval Peill Castle, and was the home of the Leith-Hay family for nearly three centuries. Since 1945 it has been run by the National Trust of Scotland (NTS). Leith Hall is set in a 286-acre (1.16 km2) estate with scenic gardens.

Wardhouse Castle was a 13th-century tower house, about 2.5 miles (4.0 km) west of Insch, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The castle was called Weredors, Wardes Castle or simply Wardhouse.

Castle Croft was located near New Leslie farm, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south-west of Insch, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was the property of the Leslie family from the later 15th century. By the early 17th century, it was the residence of the Leith family, before they built and occupied Leith Hall from 1650. The castle is recorded as being in ruins in 1724, and the final remains were removed in 1842. No trace of the castle can be seen today.

Dunnideer Castle, now ruined, was a tower house located near Insch, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was built c. 1260 partially from the remains of an existing vitrified hill fort in the same location. It consisted of a single rectangular tower of 15 m by 12.5 m with walls 1.9 m thick. Evidence suggests that a first-floor hall existed and that it had several floors.The tower house is built within an older prehistoric vitrified hillfort dating to c250 BC, excavated by Dr Murray Cook of Rampart Scotland.The prehistoric fort and tower house is a scheduled monument.

The Gordon Way is a waymarked hiking trail in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It runs for 11+1⁄2 miles (18.5 km) through the Bennachie Forest. The route was one of a series maintained by the Forestry Commission and Aberdeenshire Council. In 2016, the council withdrew completely from its maintaining the route (a cost of £9,486 per year) due to budgetary constraints.
