Bosco/Gurin (Italian dialectal pronunciation: [ˌbosko ɡuˈrin], Walser German: Gurin / Guryn, Lombard: Bosch / Gürin) is a municipality in the district of Vallemaggia in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. The village is near the end of the valley of Bosco Gurin, near the Italian border. Despite the overall prominence of Italian in Ticino, the small municipality of Bosco/Gurin is historically German-speaking.

Pizzo Bombögn is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, located between Bosco/Gurin and Campo (Vallemaggia) in the canton of Ticino. It lies on the chain east of Pizzo Quadro.

Pizzo d'Orsalia is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, overlooking Bosco/Gurin in the canton of Ticino. It lies on the chain that separates the Val Calnègia from the Valle di Bosco/Gurin.

The Martschenspitz (also known as Pizzo Stella) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. On its southern side it overlooks the pass Guriner Furggu. The closest locality is Bosco/Gurin in Ticino. Its summit is 2688m high, and is popular with mountain climbers.

The Wandfluhhorn (also known as Pizzo Biela) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It overlooks Bosco/Gurin on its (Swiss) eastern side and Formazza on its (Italian) western side. Reaching a height of 2,863 metres above sea level, the Wandfluhhorn is the highest summit of the Bosco/Gurin valley.

Pizzo d'Orsalietta is a mountain of the Swiss Lepontine Alps, located west of Cevio in the canton of Ticino. It lies between the valleys of Bavona and Bosco/Gurin.

Lago della Crosa or rather Laghi della Crosa are a pair of lakes in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The upper Lago della Crosa, located at an elevation of 2153 m, has a surface area of 17 ha (42 acres). The lower lake, at an elevation of 2116 m, has an area of 7 ha (17 acres).

Pizzo Quadro is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border. With an elevation of 2,793 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit of the range lying south of the Wandfluhhorn and the Guriner Furggu (2,323 m). Pizzo Quadro is located between the localities of San Rocco di Prèmia (Piedmont) and Campo (Ticino).

Pizzo Fiorèra (also known as Bedriolhorn) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border. It is located south of the Basòdino, on the chain that separates the Italian Val Formazza from the Swiss Val Bavona.

The Val Bavona is a ten-kilometer-long trough valley in the northwestern part of Ticino, Switzerland, in the Vallemaggia District.

Formazza (Walser: Pumât, Piedmontese: Formassa) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 160 kilometres (99 mi) northeast of Turin and about 50 kilometres (31 mi) north of Verbania, on the border with Switzerland. Formazza borders the following municipalities: Baceno, Bedretto (Switzerland), Bignasco (Switzerland), Binn (Switzerland), Bosco/Gurin (Switzerland), Cavergno (Switzerland), Premia, Reckingen-Gluringen (Switzerland), Ulrichen (Switzerland). The village was founded by Walser and Walser German is still spoken.
