Formazza

Cascata del Toce (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈskaːta del ˈtoːtʃe]) or La Frua, also known as Frütt Fall in Walser dialect, is a waterfall on the river Toce, located in the municipality of Formazza, Piedmont, Italy, at 1675 m above the sea level. It takes the name from the river Toce. The waterfall has 143 m of vertical drop e it is 60 m wide (at the base). The waterfall is only completely visible in summer months, during certain hours, as its waters are used for hydroelectric purposes.

Pizzo Fiorèra (also known as Bedriolhorn) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the Swiss-Italian border. It is located south of the Basòdino, on the chain that separates the Italian Val Formazza from the Swiss Val Bavona.

The Basòdino is a mountain in the Lepontine Alps on the border between Italy and Switzerland. It is the second highest peak in the canton of Ticino, after the Rheinwaldhorn. On its summit is located a geodetic point of IGM named 05A901 Monte Basodino.

The Kastelhorn (also known as Punta del Castel) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It lies north of the Basòdino.

The Wandfluhhorn (also known as Pizzo Biela) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It overlooks Bosco/Gurin on its (Swiss) eastern side and Formazza on its (Italian) western side. Reaching a height of 2,863 metres above sea level, the Wandfluhhorn is the highest summit of the Bosco/Gurin valley.

The Basòdino Glacier (Italian: Ghiacciaio del Basòdino) was a 1.5 km long glacier (2005) situated in the Lepontine Alps in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. In 1973 it had an area of 2.31 km2. Its funeral, marking its inevitable demise, was held on the 12th of September, 2021.

Lago della Crosa or rather Laghi della Crosa are a pair of lakes in the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. The upper Lago della Crosa, located at an elevation of 2153 m, has a surface area of 17 ha (42 acres). The lower lake, at an elevation of 2116 m, has an area of 7 ha (17 acres).

The Martschenspitz (also known as Pizzo Stella) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. On its southern side it overlooks the pass Guriner Furggu. The closest locality is Bosco/Gurin in Ticino. Its summit is 2688m high, and is popular with mountain climbers.

Pizzo Solögna is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, overlooking the Val Bavona in the Swiss canton of Ticino. It is located south of the Basòdino.

The Marchhorn is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border. On its northwest side it overlooks the San Giacomo Pass.

The San Giacomo Pass (Italian: Passo San Giacomo) is an Alpine pass connecting Switzerland and Italy. It connects Bedretto on its northern side (valley of Leventina) to Formazza on its southern side. The pass is located between the Grieshorn (west) and the Marchhorn (east).

The Grieshorn (also known as Corno Gries) is a mountain of the Lepontine Alps, located on the Swiss-Italian border. With an altitude of 2,969 metres above sea level, it is the culminating point of the group lying between the Gries Pass, the San Giacomo Pass and the Nufenen Pass. On the west lies the slightly lower Klein Grieshorn.
