The Constitutional Court (Spanish: Tribunal Constitucional) is the supreme interpreter of the Spanish Constitution, with the power to determine the constitutionality of acts and statutes made by any public body, central, regional, or local in Spain. It is defined in Part IX (sections 159 through 165) of the Constitution of Spain, and further governed by Organic Laws 2/1979 (Law of the Constitutional Court of 3 October 1979), 8/1984, 4/1985, 6/1988, 7/1999 and 1/2000. The court is the "supreme interpreter" of the Constitution, but since the court is not a part of the Spanish Judiciary, the Supreme Court is the highest court for all judicial matters.

The Statue of Vasco Núñez de Balboa is an instance of public art in Madrid, Spain. Located in the Ciudad Universitaria, next to the Museum of the Americas, it consists of a bronze sculpture of Vasco Núñez de Balboa, best known for his exploration across the Isthmus of Panama and the discovery of the Pacific Ocean.

The Museo de América (English: Museum of America) is a Spanish national museum of arts, archaeology and ethnography in Madrid. Its collections cover the whole of the Americas and range from the Paleolithic period to the present day. It is owned by the Spanish State and its initial pieces came from the former collection of American archaeological and ethnographic artifacts from the National Archaeological Museum, also exhibiting a number of unrelated donations, deposits and purchases.

A la Hispanidad or the Monument to Hispanidad (Spanish: Monumento a la Hispanidad) is an instance of public art in Madrid, Spain. The sculptural group is an allegory of the "meeting" of two civilizations.

The Faro de Moncloa is a 92-metre (302 ft)-high transmission tower with an observation deck at the Plaza De Moncloa, Madrid, Spain. It was project by architect Salvador Pérez Arroyo and built in 1992. The tower was closed to the public from 2005 to 2015, when new safety regulations were introduced after the Windsor Tower fire took place earlier that year. It reopened to the public in April 2015.

Arco de la Victoria is a triumphal arch built in the Moncloa district of Madrid, Spain. The 49 m high arch was constructed at the behest of Francisco Franco to commemorate the victory of Francoist troops in the 1936 Battle of Ciudad Universitaria, part of the Spanish Civil War.

Moncloa is a multimodal station in Madrid, Spain that serves Madrid Metro Line 3 and Line 6, as well as city buses and intercity and long-distance coaches. It is located underneath Moncloa square and Princesa street near Arco de la Victoria and the headquarters of the Spanish Air Force in fare Zone A.

Vicente Aleixandre (formerly Metropolitano) is a station on Line 6 of the Madrid Metro, located beneath Gregorio del Amo avenue in the Moncloa-Aravaca district in fare Zone A, although one of its exits is located in the Chamberí district. It is named after Spanish poet Vicente Aleixandre. Vicente Aleixandre is one of only two stations in the system (the other one is Colonia Jardín) at which it is not possible to change direction without leaving the station. Vicente Aleixandre is not handicapped accessible, as it does not have elevators.

Operation Galaxia (Spanish: Operación Galaxia) was the codename given to the plan which preceded the 23-F attempted coup d'état in Spain. It was named Galaxia, because the officers who took part met in Cafetería Galaxia in Madrid (later known as Van Gogh Café, and as of 2019 is a Taco Bell), on 11 November 1978. It was meant to take place on 17 November 1978, to stop the Spanish transition to democracy taking place at that time. That date was chosen because the King, Juan Carlos, would be away in South America. The three people in charge of the operation were Guardia Civil Lieutenant-Colonel Antonio Tejero, Major Ricardo Saenz Ynestrillas, and another colonel, whose name has not been revealed. An Infantry Captain of the Police, and an Infantry Commander of the Army were present at the conversation, and informed their superiors of the plot. On 8 May 1980, the two main suspects, Tejero and Ynestrillas, were court-martialled, and on their way, they were cheered by crowds with nationalist flags, but also insulted, which showed the division of Spain at that time. The attorney general asked for six years for Tejero, and five for Ynestrillas, but they were only given seven months and a day and six months and a day respectively, the minimum sentence. Neither of them lost their military rank, and Ynestrillas was later promoted to Commander (major).

Moncloa-Aravaca is a district of the municipality of Madrid, Spain. It is located to the northwest of the city centre, spanning across both banks of the Manzanares. It is made up of the neighborhoods of Aravaca, Argüelles, Casa de Campo, Ciudad Universitaria, El Plantío, Valdemarín and Valdezarza. The Palace of Moncloa, located in Ciudad Universitaria, is the residence of the Spanish Prime Minister.

The Monument to Lieutenant General Manuel Cassola is an instance of public art in Madrid, Spain. It consists of a bronze statue of Manuel Cassola designed by Mariano Benlliure topping off a stone pedestal.

The Diplomatic School of Spain (Escuela Diplomática in Spanish) is an official institution dependent on the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. It was constituted in 1942 and is located in Madrid.
