Radovna (pronounced [ˈɾaːdɔu̯na]) is a settlement in the Radovna Valley in the Municipality of Gorje in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

Lake Kreda is a man-made lake in the Radovna Valley in northwestern Slovenia. The lake got its name from the chalk (Slovene: kreda) that was mined in the area until 1985. The digging also created a basin, which gradually filled with water and the lake appeared. The mining ceased because it was unprofitable and due to conservation concerns (the area is within Triglav National Park), but the lake remained and is now occasionally used as a recreation site. Today, the lake and its surrounding wetlands are an important habitat for amphibians, such as the common frog and the common toad in the Radovna Valley.

Krma is an alpine valley in the Julian Alps in the Upper Carniola region of northwestern Slovenia. The entire valley lies in Triglav National Park.

Perniki (pronounced [pɛɾˈniːki]) is a small settlement on the Mežakla Plateau in the Municipality of Gorje in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

Zgornja Radovna (pronounced [ˈzɡoːɾnja ˈɾaːdɔu̯na]) is a dispersed settlement in the Municipality of Kranjska Gora, northwestern Slovenia, belonging to the traditional region of Upper Carniola. The village lies at the juncture of the Kot Valley and the northern part of the Krma Valley (i.e., the Lower Krma Valley, Slovene: Spodnja Krma). The Radovna River, a tributary of the Sava Dolinka, emerges under the Jutrova Skala Slope (Jutrova skala) in the northeastern part of the settlement.

Goreljek (pronounced [ɡɔˈɾeːljək] or [ɡɔˈɾeːljɛk]) is a high-elevation settlement on the Pokljuka Plateau in the Municipality of Bohinj in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It has less than ten residents, but there are a large number of holiday homes in Goreljek and its immediate area. The northern part of the settlement's territory extends into the Ore Valley (Slovene: Rudna dolina). The local chapel is dedicated to Saint Anthony the Hermit and was rebuilt in a modern alpine style in 1996.

Zatrnik (pronounced [ˈzaːtəɾnik] or [zatəɾˈniːk], in older sources Zaternik) is a settlement in the Municipality of Gorje in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

The Pokljuka Plateau (pronounced [pɔˈkljuːka]) is a forested karst plateau at an elevation of around 1,100 to 1,400 metres (3,600 to 4,600 ft), located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The plateau is known for its forests, mountain pastures (Javornik, Lipanca, Uskovnica, Zajamniki, etc.), and winter sports facilities. It is also a common starting point for mountain hikers. The yearly Biathlon World Cup meets are held at the Pokljuka Biathlon Center, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) west of the town of Bled (25 kilometres or 16 miles by car). Pokljuka is part of Triglav National Park. Administratively, it belongs to the municipalities of Bled, Bohinj, and Gorje. Many beech and fir trees were chopped down in the 18th century for the iron foundries in Bohinj. They have been naturally replaced mostly by spruce trees. Some swamps can also be found, which is not usual on such high plateaus.

Hrušica (pronounced [ˈxɾuːʃitsa], German: Birnbaum) is a settlement 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Jesenice along the main road to Kranjska Gora in the Municipality of Jesenice in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.

Mežakla (pronounced [mɛˈʒaːkla]) is a long undulating plateau about 15 km (9 mi) long in the foothills of the Julian Alps above the town of Jesenice in northwestern Slovenia. It ranges from approximately 1,200 m (3,900 ft) to 1,593 m (5,226 ft) high. It is mostly covered with spruce and beech trees. There are many pastures and clear streams on the plateau. Mežakla is part of Triglav National Park but tourism is underdeveloped.
