Moutier railway station

Moutier-Grandval Abbey was a Benedictine abbey near the villages of Moutier and Grandval in today's Bernese Jura, Canton of Bern in Switzerland. It was founded around 640, when Grandval already existed; Moutier grew up around the abbey.

It had a population of about 23,098 in 2004. From 1 January 2010, the district lost its administrative power while being replaced by the Bernese Jura, whose administrative centre is Courtelary. Since 2010, it remains therefore a fully recognised district under the law and the Constitution (Art.3 al.2) of the Canton of Berne.

Grandval railway station (French: Gare de Grandval) is a railway station in the municipality of Grandval, in the Swiss canton of Bern. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Solothurn–Moutier line of BLS AG and is served by local trains only.

Mont Raimeux is a mountain of the Jura range, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Jura and Berne. Reaching a height of 1,302 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit in the canton of Jura. The summit of Mont Raimeux can be reached easily by several trails and a road culminating at 1,288 metres.
