Paston Great Barn

Paston is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 4 miles (6.4 km) north-east of North Walsham and 9.1 miles (14.6 km) south-east of Cromer. It is 19.2 miles (30.9 km) north-east of the city of Norwich. The village sits astride the coast road between Mundesley and Bacton. The nearest railway station is at North Walsham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International. The village gives its name to the Pastonian Stage, a British regional subdivision of the Pleistocene Epoch. The village was served by Paston & Knapton railway station on the North Walsham to Cromer section of the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway from 1881 until 1964.

The Bacton Gas Terminal is a complex of six gas terminals within four sites located on the North Sea coast of North Norfolk in the United Kingdom. The sites are near Paston and between Bacton and Mundesley; the nearest town is North Walsham. The other main UK gas terminals which receive gas from the UK continental shelf are at St Fergus, Aberdeenshire; Easington, East Riding of Yorkshire; Theddlethorpe, Lincolnshire; CATS Terminal, Teesside; and Rampside gas terminal, Barrow, Cumbria.

Mundesley Cliffs is a 29.3-hectare (72-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of North Walsham in Norfolk. It is a Geological Conservation Review site and it is in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cliffs on this site display some of the best marine and freshwater deposits dating to the Cromerian interglacial, and to the early stages of the succeeding Anglian glaciation, which started around 478,000 years ago. Paston and Knapton railway station was a station in North Norfolk on the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway line between Cromer Beach and North Walsham. It served the settlements of Paston and Knapton, through it was nearer to the latter. It closed on 5 October 1964 to passengers and to goods on 28 December 1964.

Mundesley Volunteer Inshore Lifeboat is a voluntary run lifeboat station located in the village of Mundesley in the English county of Norfolk. The station operates one lifeboat which is used for inshore work. The lifeboat service is a "Declared Facility"; this means that H.M. Coastguard regard it as being on a par with the RNLI. The lifeboat provides its service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to windsurfers, fishing boats, swimmers and divers or anybody in distress within the Mundesley area. The service has also provided assistance to boats of various sizes which have required towing etc.

The River Mun or Mundesley Beck is a river in the north of the county of Norfolk, England. Its source is in the parish of Northrepps. The river finally runs into the North Sea in the village of Mundesley.

Mundesley RNLI Lifeboat Station was located in Mundesley, a village approximately 7 miles (11 km) south-east of Cromer, on the north-east coast of Norfolk. A lifeboat was first stationed at Mundesley by the Cromer Lifeboat Committee (CLC) in 1811, control passing over to the Norfolk Association for Saving the Lives of Shipwrecked Mariners (NSA) in 1823. Management of the station was transferred to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in 1857. After operating for 84 years, Mundesley RNLI Lifeboat Station closed in 1895. 77 years later, a lifeboat service was established once again at Mundesley. Mundesley /ˈmʌn.dzli/ is a coastal village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 20.3 miles (32.7 km) north-northeast of Norwich, 7.3 miles (11.7 km) southeast of Cromer and 136 miles (219 km) northeast of London. The village lies 5.6 miles (9.0 km) north-northeast of the town of North Walsham. The nearest railway station is at North Walsham, for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich Airport. The village sits astride the B1159 coast road that links Cromer and Caister-on-Sea, and is at the eastern end of the B1145 a route which runs between King's Lynn and Mundesley. Mundesley is within the Norfolk Coast AONB. It has a resident population of around 2,695 (parish, 2001 census), measured at 2,758 in the 2011 Census. The River Mun or Mundesley Beck flows into the sea here. On 5 September 2022 Mundesley beach won the North Norfolk District Council Battle of the Beaches to be recognised as the top beach in North Norfolk in a close run off against West Runton beach.

RAF Bacton is a former Royal Air Force landing field, built to accommodate aircraft intercepting Zeppelin bombers during the First World War.

Mundesley railway station was a railway station on the Norfolk and Suffolk Joint Railway in Mundesley, Norfolk. It opened on 1 July 1898. The station was host to a LNER camping coach from 1938 to 1939. Two coaches were positioned here by Eastern Region of British Railways in 1952, then four coaches from 1953 to 1958, then ten for 1959 reducing to six coaches from 1960 to 1964, 3 coaches remained for the 1965 season despite the station having closed. On 7 April 1953 the station became the terminus of the line from North Walsham when the route to Cromer closed. In 1964 the remainder of the route was closed.

Edingthorpe is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Bacton, in the North Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village is located 10 miles (16 km) south-east of Cromer and 18 miles (29 km) north-east of Norwich. In 1931 the parish had a population of 213. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Bacton under the County of Norfolk Review Order, 1935.

Knapton is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 8.9 miles (14.3 km) southeast of Cromer, 19.4 miles (31.2 km) northeast of Norwich and 134 miles (216 km) northeast of London. The Village is located alongside the B1145 a route which runs between King's Lynn and Mundesley. The nearest railway station is at North Walsham for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport.
