Garon Park is a recreational park and cricket ground in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. It is currently the home of Old Southendian Football Club and Old Southendian & Southcurch Cricket Club. Within the park grounds sits Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre.

Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre is a sports centre located in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The centre was built in March 1996 and expanded in November 2010, adding Southend Swimming and Diving Centre to the site, with a new reception area linking the two centres together with self-swiping turnstiles. The site's main name remained as Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre with the addition of Southend Swimming and Diving Centre. The centre is also known as Garon Park, as the buildings sit within the park site. The centre is run by Fusion Lifestyle.

Cecil Jones Academy (formerly Cecil Jones High School and then Cecil Jones College) is a secondary school and sixth form situated in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. Cecil Jones Academy opened on the 1st of September 2015. The academy is part of Loxford school Trust and formerly part of the legal trust The academy is situated in Southend on Sea, Essex and serves a community of about a four-mile radius. The academy has six main feeder schools. Cecil Jones was the town's first purpose-built comprehensive school in 1969.The school is named after Edward Cecil Jones, a local philanthropist. For 25 years he was Chairman of Southend and SE Essex branches of the NSPCC. In 1953 Cecil Jones was awarded Freedom of the Borough.The school was formerly located over two sites, however in September 2015 the school consolidated onto one site at Eastern Avenue. At this time the school also converted to Academy status and was renamed Cecil Jones Academy under the leadership of Mrs Beverly Williams and The Legra Trust.In May 2018, Regional Schools Commissioner found a new Trust to run Cecil Jones Academy. In October, it was announced that The Loxford Trust would be taking over the academy, after a proven track record in turning failing schools around rapidly.

Fossetts Park is the provisional name for a football stadium proposed to be built in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England as a new home for Southend United F.C. to replace its current town centre Roots Hall Stadium. The name may be changed if sponsorship for the stadium is secured. Initial proposals for the new stadium emerged in 1998; planning permission was applied for, and later confirmed by Southend Council, in 2008 but at that time the scheme depended entirely on financing from a proposed adjacent retail and leisure development, which failed to happen. In 2020, a new deal was agreed, based instead on delivery of 1300 new homes, split between the Fossetts Farm site (c. 800) and Roots Hall (c. 500). However, council planning approval for revised plans including a 16,226-seat stadium had still not been given in February 2023.

Sutton is a village and civil parish in the District of Rochford in Essex, England. It is located between the River Roach and the adjoining Borough of Southend-on-Sea, and includes the hamlet of Shopland. It has a population of 127, increasing at the 2011 Census to 135, the smallest in the District, although at the time of the Domesday Book it had a flourishing village with its own market and fair.The place-name 'Sutton' is first recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Suttuna. The name means 'southern town or settlement'.The place-name 'Shopland' is first attested in a list of c. 1000 AD of the manors of St Paul's Cathedral in Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (MS. 383), where it appears as Scopingland. It appears as Scopelanda in the Domesday Book of 1086, and as Scopiland in the Feet of Fines in 1208. The name means 'island with a shed', the first element being the Old English sceoppa, or the Middle English schoppe, meaning 'shop' or 'shed', the origin of the modern word 'shop'.The area is known locally as Sutton with Shopland. Most of the civil parish of Shopland was amalgamated with Sutton in 1933. When St Mary Magdalene's church in Shopland was demolished in 1957 following wartime bomb damage, artifacts were removed and went to Sutton Church and others. Shopland churchyard is rededicated every year. Sutton Road (B1015) is approximately 3 miles (5 km) long and runs from the Anne Boleyn Public House on Southend Road in Rochford to Southchurch Road in Southend-on-Sea. Sutton is rural with large farms, and is bordered by industrial estates on its northern (Purdeys Industrial Estate) and southern (Chandlers Way/Temple Farm Industrial Estate) borders.

Southchurch is a suburb and former civil parish in Southend-on-Sea in the ceremonial county of Essex, England. England. In 2011 the ward had a population of 9,710.

Southend High School for Girls is a grammar school with academy status situated on Southchurch Boulevard in the east of Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. It caters for students from the age of 11 through to 18 years old.

Southend East railway station is on the London, Tilbury and Southend line, serving the Southchurch area to the east of Southend-on-Sea, Essex. It is 36 miles 49 chains (58.9 km) down the main line from London Fenchurch Street via Basildon and it is situated between Southend Central to the west and Thorpe Bay to the east. Its three-letter station code is SOE. It was opened in 1932. There is no step-free access available on the Shoeburyness bound platform. The station and all trains serving it are currently operated by c2c.

Southchurch High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. It opened on 1 September 2016, replacing the former Futures Community College.Futures Community College was created in 2006 as a trustee school by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Prospects College and the UK government to try and lift Thorpe Bay High School out of special measures. A new building was opened in 2010. Prospects moved their Southend campus to share the new building. As of November 2013 the head teacher was Stuart Reynolds who replaced Stephen Capper who had been appointed for one year to prevent the school being placed in special measures by Ofsted following poor examination results in 2012. However the school returned to special measures in 2014 before coming out in 2016. As part of its rebuilding programme Futures closed its Sixth form in 2015, with PROCAT (the new name for Prospects College) moving out in 2016 to make room for further expansion of the school. In September 2016 the school renamed itself as Southchurch High School and is in the process of becoming part of the Partnership Learning Academy trust.

St Mary and All Saints is the parish church of Great Stambridge, and since 1888 Little Stambridge, both in Essex, United Kingdom. The earliest parts of the church, which comprise parts of the nave and chancel, were built before the Norman Conquest of 1066. Major additions then came with the first part of the west tower and the north porch in the 1400s, the latter two parts of the west tower in the 1700s, and the organ chamber and north vestry in the 1800s. The church underwent a renovation in 1881 in which the roofs were replaced and the arcade rebuilt. In 1888, Little Stambridge was merged into the parish; therefore, after that point, the church was the parish church for both settlements. In 1898 the number of bells in the tower increased from one to four. The church was awarded Grade II* listed status in 1959.

Alleyn Court Prep School is a co-educational day preparatory school in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex for children up to age 11.

Southchurch Hall is Grade I listed Medieval moated house located in Southchurch, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. The Hall was home to farming families until the 1920s. In 1930 it was extensively restored and presented to the town of Southend by the Dowsett Family. The Hall has been listed in Jenkins' top 1,000 houses in England. The moat surrounding the house is a scheduled monument.
