The Berndt Museum of Anthropology is an anthropological museum in Perth, Western Australia, founded in 1976 by Ronald Berndt and Catherine Berndt. The Berndt Museum is currently located with the Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery on the western side of the University of Western Australia's Crawley campus. Housing 12,000 objects and 35,000 photographs, the museum contains one of the finest collections of Indigenous Australian art and cultural artifacts in the world, according to the Collections Australia Network (CAN). The collection consists of contemporary and historical Aboriginal Australian material culture from regions such as Arnhem Land, the Kimberley, Pilbara, the South West and the Western Desert. The museum also houses substantial Asian and Papua New Guinean collections.

Western Australian Regional Computing Centre (WARCC) was part of the University of Western Australia, formed to provide computing services to the university, other universities in Western Australia, government departments, and to some private companies. It specialised in technical and scientific computing. It was formed on 1 January 1972, and ceased in 1991, when parts of it were spun off to become Winthrop Technology. Among the services it provided were time-shared computer processing, facilities management, software development, microcomputer rental and sales. It was Digital Equipment Corporation's first customer for the PDP-6. Its first Director was Dennis Moore (1972–1979), followed by Alex Reid (1979–1991). WARCC's Data Communications group, headed by Terry Gent, developed computer networking hardware and software. Using a combination of equipment from Digital Equipment Corporation and other vendors, and hardware and software that the group developed, it built a campus-wide network and then extended that to link the networks of the universities in Western Australia in the first heterogeneous packet switching network in Australia.

The University of Western Australia (UWA) Library consists of five library sites both on and within walking distance of the campus. The library is an integral part of the UWA student experience and provides a wide range of services, facilities and resources to both students and staff and the community including teaching, learning and research support, student IT support, and individual and collaborative learning spaces.

The UWA Conservatorium of Music is a teaching and research school offering undergraduate and postgraduate study in music at the University of Western Australia. It is located at the north-east corner of the Crawley campus and teaches predominately Classical music, with focus in the undergraduate curriculum on performance, as well as overall strength in musicology, composition and electronic music. In 2016, UWA entered the top 100 "Performing Arts" institutions in the world, and in 2017 and 2018 the School improved its ranking to enter the top 50 in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings. The Conservatorium is also well regarded in research. Under the research code "19 Studies in Creative Arts and Writing", the Conservatorium was rated as "4 - Above World Standard" by the Australian Research Council in 2018. Previously, the name of the organisation has been the UWA Department of Music, and the UWA School of Music.

The University of Western Australia (UWA) is a public research university in the Australian state of Western Australia. The university's main campus is in Perth, the state capital, with a secondary campus in Albany and various other facilities elsewhere. UWA was established in 1911 by an act of the Parliament of Western Australia and began teaching students two years later. It is the sixth-oldest university in Australia and was Western Australia's only university until the establishment of Murdoch University in 1973. Because of its age and reputation, UWA is classed one of the "sandstone universities", an informal designation given to the oldest university in each state. The university also belongs to several more formal groupings, including the Group of Eight and the Matariki Network of Universities. In recent years, UWA has generally been ranked either in the bottom half or just outside the world's top 100 universities, depending on the system used. Another defining characteristic of UWA is that it has retained its Convocation as an integral part of its governance structure. All graduates of UWA are automatically life-long members of the university through Convocation which grants them the right to attend the Annual General Meetings, to elect two members of the UWA Senate and to review any changes to University legislation. Graduates of UWA include one Prime Minister of Australia (Bob Hawke), five Justices of the High Court of Australia (including one Chief Justice, Robert French, now Chancellor), one Governor of the Reserve Bank (H. C. Coombs), various federal cabinet ministers, and seven of Western Australia's eight most recent premiers. In 2018 alumnus mathematician Akshay Venkatesh was a recipient of the Fields Medal. As of 2021, the university had produced 106 Rhodes Scholars. Two members of the UWA faculty, Barry Marshall and Robin Warren won Nobel Prizes as a result of research at the university.

The Western Australian Screen Academy (also known as WA Screen Academy) is situated within the School of Communications and Arts at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. The WA Screen Academy (WASA) offers one of Australia's advanced-level training programs in screen production. Operating in a partnership with the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). The WA Screen Academy has a record of preparing graduates for employment in the industry. Graduates have become writers, production staff and crew on a number of Australian drama series and documentary productions, have secured feature film funding and more. The program is delivered on the Mount Lawley campus of Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. The WA Screen Academy year runs over 40 teaching weeks from mid-February to the end of November, with a two-week mid-year break. This intensive year of study is equivalent to three university semesters or 1.5 years. Mid-year entry (late July) is available in special circumstances.

Naval Base Perth was a United States Navy base near Perth, Western Australia during World War II. Perth was selected as the site for a U.S. Navy base as it was beyond the range of Japanese long-range bombers. The Bombing of Darwin on 19 February 1942 demonstrated a more southern port was needed. Both existing port facilities and new bases were built at Perth. Naval Base Perth's Fleet Post Office # was 255 SF Perth, Australia.

Shenton House is a historic building within the grounds of The University of Western Australia in Perth. It is a two-story Georgian style building with surrounding verandas. Originally called 'Crawley Park House', it is the oldest building on campus, built in 1846 by Henry Charles Sutherland. Sutherland was a surveyor who became Clerk to the Colonial Treasurer, then Secretary to the Executive and Legislative Councils, and later Collector of Inland Revenue and Colonial Treasurer.It was given to the University in 1914 to accommodate the Department of Mining and Engineering, which occupied it until 1960. Various alterations were made during this period to accommodate teaching requirements. In 1921, the University formally acquired the roughly 200-acre (0.81 km2) property, including the house, from the family of Sir George Shenton. It was then renamed in his honour. Since 1988, the building has belonged to the School of Indigenous Studies.The building is a heritage listed building of both the National Trust of Australia (1997) and the Australian Heritage Council (1998).

St George's College is a residential college within the University of Western Australia. Created through a bequest of Sir John Winthrop Hackett and the subsequent collaboration of the university and the Anglican Diocese of Perth, it opened in 1931, making it the oldest college within the university. Initially male-only, the College became co-educational in 1981. It is recognised for its architectural significance and appears on several heritage listings.

Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) is a specialist children's hospital in Nedlands, Western Australia, located at the corner of Winthrop Avenue and Monash Avenue on the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEII) site. It is Western Australia's specialist paediatric hospital and trauma centre, providing medical care to children and adolescents up to 16 years of age. This hospital provides treatment for the most serious medical cases, as well as secondary services including inpatient, outpatient and day-stay care for children and young people.

The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEIIMC), commonly known as just QEII, is a medical campus in Perth, Western Australia, situated in the suburb of Nedlands directly adjacent to Kings Park. It contains Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, the Perth Children's Hospital, the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, and various smaller facilities. The current QEII site was bought by the state government in 1910, and in 1922 a 999-year lease was granted to the University of Western Australia (UWA). The land remained largely undeveloped, so in 1953 the land was designated for the construction of a new medical centre with a teaching hospital at its core. The site was originally known as the Perth Medical Centre, but changed its name in 1977 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II. A 1966 act of parliament created a separate trust to manage the land, with UWA receiving representation on the board.

Matilda Bay or Crawley Bay (known originally as Currie's Bay, then Sutherland's Bay) is a natural bay in the Swan River in Western Australia, adjacent to the Perth suburb of Crawley. It extends from Pelican Point to Mounts Bay Road below Kings Park. The University of Western Australia is immediately opposite. Other landmarks on Matilda Bay include Matilda Bay Restaurant, Pelican Point Sea Scouts, Royal Perth Yacht Club, UWA Rowing Club and Mounts Bay Sailing Club. A well-known bronze sculpture that is located at the site of the former Crawley Baths – Eliza is displayed just offshore from Mounts Bay Road and depicts a woman preparing to dive. Matilda Bay Reserve is a recreational parkland between Hackett Drive and the river. It includes Pelican Point, which is an important breeding sanctuary for migratory birds. Matilda Bay is believed to have been named after the wife of John Septimus Roe, Matilda (née Bennett).
