Billings Studio Theatre is a studio theatre and not-for-profit community theatre company located at 1500 Rimrock Road in Billings, Montana.The first performance by the company was There's Always Juliet in 1953. In 1963, the company decided it needed a home and moved into a church in downtown Billings. Five years later, the church became condemned and effort to build a new home began. In 1971, Billings Studio Theatre opened its doors to a new theatre located in the western part of Billings.Currently, the company produces several plays and musicals each year. There are both children's and adult productions and some more recent productions have included The Laramie Project, Oklahoma!, 12 Angry Men, and Wit. In 2013, it became the first community theater company in Montana to stage a "full version of the musical "Les Misérables"."About 500 people a year volunteer at the theater. The theater "showcases two Rocky Mountain College productions annually" and "operates a children's theatre, The Growing Stage."

Rocky Mountain College (Rocky or RMC) is a private college in Billings, Montana. It offers 50 liberal arts and professional majors in 24 undergraduate disciplines. The airport is on top of the Rims, a 500-foot (150 m) cliff overlooking the downtown core. BIL covers 2,300 acres (9.3 km2) of land.The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a primary commercial service airport (more than 10,000 enplanements per year). Federal Aviation Administration records say the airport had 387,368 passenger boardings (enplanements) in calendar year 2013, 388,329 in 2010 and 397,073 in 2009.Billings Logan International Airport has scheduled nonstop flights to several airline hubs such as Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Portland, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Billings also serves as a small hub for Cape Air, a commuter airline which operates nonstop flights with Cessna 402 prop aircraft to Glasgow, Glendive, Havre, Sidney and Wolf Point in Montana.

The Dude Rancher Lodge is a motel in Billings, Montana, on the National Register of Historic Places. Known as "Billings' most unique motel", it was built in 1950 with a Hollywood-western style theme inside and out with many custom features, most original to the building. Owned for over 40 years by the family corporation of its original owners, with a single change of ownership in 1992, the motel and its attached restaurant is still in operation today and looks much as it did when originally constructed.In the 21st century, the locally owned establishment has survived as one of only 10 owner-operated motels left in Billings, against increased competition from a significant expansion in the number of motel rooms available in the city. After having the motel studied and upgraded by Hotel Impossible in 2012, followed shortly thereafter by the local police engaging in a "full-on firefight" with a local criminal, the motel saw its online bookings increase 250 percent. Reports that the facility is haunted by its original owner have led to three popular rooms being booked up to a year in advance.

Montana State University Billings (or MSU Billings) is a public university in Billings, Montana. It is the state's third largest university. Its campus is located on 110 acres in downtown Billings. Formerly Eastern Montana Normal School at its founding in 1927, the Normal School changed its name to Eastern Montana College of Education in 1949. It was again renamed in 1965 as Eastern Montana College (EMC). It merged into the Montana University System in 1994 under its present name. Currently, the university offers over 100 specialized programs for certificates, associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees through the university's five colleges. The five colleges of Montana State University Billings are Liberal Arts & Social Sciences, Business, Health Professions and Science, Education, and City College.
