Shrewsbury is an inner-ring suburb of St. Louis, located in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 6,254 at the 2010 census.

Kenrick–Glennon Seminary (officially Saint Louis Roman Catholic Theological Seminary) is a Roman Catholic seminary in Shrewsbury, Missouri that is operated by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis. The seminary was founded in 1818 and is named named after Archbishop Peter Richard Kenrick and Cardinal John J. Glennon, two former archbishops of Saint Louis. Kenrick–Glennon has three college-level divisions to educate and prepare seminarians for ordination as priests. Its students come from many archdioceses and dioceses. Cardinal Glennon College is the undergraduate division. It offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in philosophy. Kenrick School of Theology is the graduate division. It offer a Master of Divinity degree (M.Div.) and a Master of Arts degree in theology (M.A.), The Hyphen between Kenrick and Glennon is considered to stand for the Pre-Theology program, where those who had already obtained a college degree prior to entering Seminary study philosophy.

KEZK-FM (102.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to St. Louis, Missouri. It broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. From mid-November through the Christmas holiday, KEZK switches to an all-Christmas music format. The studios and offices are on Olive Street in Downtown St. Louis. KEZK has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 100,000 watts, the maximum for non-grandfathered FM stations, covering parts of Missouri and Illinois. The transmitter is in Resurrection Cemetery in Shrewsbury. KEZK broadcasts using the HD radio hybrid format. The HD2 digital subchannel airs an urban contemporary format. The HD3 subchannel airs "Channel Q," Audacy's Talk/EDM service for the LGBTQ community.

WARH (106.5 MHz "106-5 The Arch") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Granite City, Illinois and serving Greater St. Louis including sections of Illinois and Missouri. WARH is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting and airs an Adult Hits radio format. The studios and offices are in Creve Coeur, Missouri (although a St. Louis address is used). The transmitter is located near Resurrection Cemetery off Mackenzie Road in St. Louis."106-5 The Arch" using the primary slogan "You never know what we're going to play next." The station's name pays tribute to the iconic Gateway Arch monument in Downtown St. Louis on the western bank of the Mississippi River. The format is musically similar to the syndicated Jack FM stations in the U.S. and Canada. However, "The Arch" uses a live and local DJ staff around the clock, whereas "Jack" stations are for the most part automated with no live voices. 106.5 The Arch uses voice actor Howard Cogan for voice imaging. Cogan was the former voice of the network syndicated version of Jack FM. WARH broadcasts in the HD Radio format; WARH-HD2 carries co-owned KTMY from Minneapolis, known as "My Talk Radio." (Before March 2017, it featured less familiar rock songs from the 1960s to the present, branded as "106-5 The Deep.") WARH-HD3 carries an all-80s hits format branded as “My 80s Mix”; this launched on WARH-HD3 in May 2021, after being moved from KSHE's HD3 sub-channel.

KSHE (styled as K-SHE) is a Classic rock radio station licensed to Crestwood, Missouri which serves the Greater St. Louis area. KSHE transmits on 94.7 MHz and currently uses the slogan "KSHE 95, Real Rock Radio". Owned by Hubbard Broadcasting, the station's studios are located in Creve Coeur, while the transmitter is located in Shrewsbury.

KYKY (98.1 FM) is a commercial radio station in St. Louis, Missouri, serving the Greater St. Louis region of Missouri and Illinois. KYKY airs a hot adult contemporary radio format and is owned by Audacy, Inc. KYKY operates from offices and studios located on Olive Street in Downtown St. Louis. KLJY (99.1 MHz) is a commercial-free, listener-supported FM radio station licensed to Clayton, Missouri, and serving Greater St. Louis. It is owned by Gateway Creative Broadcasting, and broadcasts a Christian Contemporary radio format known as 99.1 Joy FM. The radio studios and offices on Founders Lane in Des Peres, with a St. Louis address. In addition to broadcasting music, the station also sponsors community events and activities around St. Louis.KLJY has an effective radiated power of 100,000 watts, the maximum for non-grandfathered FM stations. Its transmitter is in Resurrection Cemetery in Shrewsbury, co-located with the towers for other St. Louis-area FM and TV stations. KLJY broadcasts using HD Radio technology. Its HD-2 digital subchannel carries a simulcast of sister station KXBS, which airs a Christian CHR format known as "Boost 95.5", while the HD-3 subchannel carries a conservative talk format branded as "NewsTalkSTL." It feeds 250 watt FM translator K270BW at 101.9 MHz in nearby Bellefontaine.

K270BW (101.9 MHz, branded as NewsTalkSTL) is a conservative talk radio station serving Greater St. Louis, located in Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri. It is transmitted with an effective radiated power of 250 watts. Its transmitter is located in St. Louis, while the studio is located near Union Station in downtown St. Louis, and serves as the translator of sister outlet KLJY, where it can be heard on their third HD radio subchannel. Formerly a translator for the national K-Love network, "Boost 101.9" was launched on March 24, 2014, with a unique presentation designed to serve young listeners using hit music with positive lyrics and messages.On January 4, 2021, Gateway Creative Broadcasting acquired the 95.5 FM signal in St. Louis and changed call letters to KXBS, and moved the "Boost Radio" format to that frequency. KXBS covers the entire metro area of St. Louis. After several months of simulcasting, K270BW flipped to conservative talk as "NewsTalkSTL" on July 19, 2021, and began relaying KLJY's HD3 subchannel. The station began simulcasting on KNBS (94.1 FM) on August 9.

KTLK-FM (104.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Columbia, Illinois, and serving Greater St. Louis. Owned and operated by iHeartMedia, the station airs a conservative talk radio format known as "104.9 The Patriot." Studios and offices are on Highlands Plaza Drive in St. Louis just south of Forest Park. KTLK-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 8,400 watts. The transmitter is in the Resurrection Cemetery in Shrewsbury, amid the towers for other St. Louis FM and TV stations. KTLK-FM is licensed by the FCC to broadcast using HD Radio technology. The HD-2 digital subchannel carries the Urban Adult Contemporary format previously heard on the main channel, known as "Majic 104.9." After a local morning drive time show hosted by Jamie Allman, the rest of the weekday schedule is made up of nationally syndicated programs, mostly from co-owned Premiere Networks: Glenn Beck, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton, Sean Hannity and Jesse Kelly, as well as Dave Ramsey and "Red Eye Radio." The iHeartMedia (previously Clear Channel Communications) outlet broadcasts at 107.7 MHz with an ERP of 100 kW. Its transmitter is located in Shrewsbury, a suburb of St. Louis, and operates from studios in St. Louis south of Forest Park.

The Coral Court Motel was a 1941 U.S. Route 66 motel constructed in Marlborough, Missouri (a St. Louis suburb) and designated on the National Register of Historic Places in St. Louis County in 1989 as a valuable example of the art deco and streamline moderne architectural styles. It expanded to 77 rooms in the heyday of automobile tourism on US 66, only to decline after the highway was bypassed by Interstate 44 in the 1970s and close its doors forever in 1993. Despite strong local efforts advocating historic preservation, it was demolished in 1995 for a suburban housing development.
