Cardigan railway station in the county town of Cardigan, Ceredigion was the terminus of the Whitland and Cardigan Railway, opened on 31 August 1886. The line, previously known as the Whitland and Taff Vale Railway, and later familiarly as the 'Cardi Bach', was built between 1869 and 1873. With the extension to Cardigan opening in 1886, operations were taken over by the Great Western Railway.Situated on the south side of the River Teifi, the arrival of the railway to Cardigan saw a gradual decline of trade from the port, with goods thereafter travelling on the railway. The railway station closed to passengers on 10 September 1962 (prior to the Beeching Axe) but remained open to goods traffic until 27 May 1963. After that date the station remained open as a coal depot until April 1965, staffed by British Railways staff until November 1964. Final closure came on 6 September 1965. The old goods shed marks the site of the former station. The section of old trackbed between Cardigan and Cilgerran is now a footway and cycle path through Teifi Marshes and Wildlife Park.

Cardigan and District Community Hospital (Welsh: Aberteifi a'r Cylch Ysbyty Cymunedol) was a community hospital in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. It was managed by Hywel Dda University Health Board.

Cardigan Priory (formally: The Priory Church of Our Lady of Cardigan; alternative: Cardigan Cell) was a Benedictine priory located in Cardigan, Ceredigion, mid-west Wales. Its church survives as a parish church, St. Mary's Church, Cardigan, whereas the priory itself was a separate building.

St Mary's Church is an Anglican church located in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. In 1428, with the disappearance of Holy Trinity Church, St Mary's formally became the parish church of Cardigan, but it continued to serve as a priory church until the Reformation, being located close to Cardigan Priory. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Llangoedmor is a village 2 miles east of Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. It is also the name of a community Council which encompasses Llechryd, Pant-gwyn, and Neuadd Wilym. Llangoedmor (Welsh: the church the great wood), is derived from the groves of Welsh Oak and other trees which existed there. The remnants of the woodland still exist and are now a site of Special Scientific Interest, this wood is known locally as Cwm Du. In the Dark Ages it was the home of St Cynllo, whose knee imprints are said to exist in a rock, near the farm named Felin Gynllo. His feast day is 17 July. A sparsely populated area, it is mainly made up of farmsteads, the occasional mansion, such as Coedmore and Plas Llangoedmor, and detached houses. The Croes-y-Llan area has seen the most recent building activity in the last two decades, and has seen an increase in the population of this village, especially by those from cities who have moved from urban conurbations. Llangoedmor was the site of a 12th-century battle. Samuel Lewis's A Topographical Dictionary of Wales (1833) states: "Soon after the death of Henry I, a memorable battle was fought near Crûg Mawr, a conical hill in this parish, between the Welsh, commanded by Gruffudd ap Rhys and the English, in which the latter sustained a signal defeat."These days, Llangoedmor is a popular spot for tourists, partly because of its proximity to the Preseli Hills and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The parish church of St Cynllo is a grade II* listed building.

Our Lady of Cardigan (Welsh: Mair o Aberteifi), also known as Our Lady of the Taper, the Catholic national shrine of Wales, is a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary created by Sr Concordia Scott and located in a chapel in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales.

Cardigan (Welsh: Aberteifi, pronounced [abɛrˈtei̯vi] ) is both a town and a community in the county of Ceredigion, Wales. Positioned on the tidal reach of the River Teifi at the point where Ceredigion meets Pembrokeshire, Cardigan was the county town of the historic county of Cardiganshire. Cardigan is the second-largest town in Ceredigion. The largest town, Aberystwyth, is one of the two administrative centres; the other is Aberaeron. The settlement at Cardigan was developed around the Norman castle built in the late 11th or early 12th century. The castle was the location of the 1176 Cardigan eisteddfod, precursor of the present-day National Eisteddfod. The town became an important port in the 18th century, but declined by the early 20th century owing to its shallow harbour. The castle underwent restoration in 2014. The population in 2001 was 4,203, reducing slightly to 4,184 at the 2011 census.

Caemorgan is a road (Heol) in Ceredigion, Wales. It means Morgans Field and is the name of the road outside Cardigan off the A487. This road has a Mansion named Caemorgan Mansion to which Caemorgan Cottage is attached.

The Ceibwr Bay Fault is a WSW-ENE trending fault zone that cuts Ordovician rocks of the Ashgill Nantmel Mudstones Formation and the Caradoc Dinas Island Formation. The fault is exposed on the south side of Cardigan Bay in Wales and forms part of the Fishguard-Cardigan Fault Zone. It extends from the coast at Ceibwr Bay at its western end to the coast at Aberporth at its eastern end. The fault zone is thought to have been active as a normal fault throughout the deposition of the Ordovician sequence.

Cardigan Castle (Welsh: Castell Aberteifi) is a castle overlooking the River Teifi in Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. It is a Grade I listed building. The castle dates from the late 11th-century, though was rebuilt in 1244. Castle Green House was built inside the castle walls in the early 1800s. After falling into disrepair the castle was restored in the early 2000s and opened to the public in 2015. It is owned by Ceredigion County Council and now includes a heritage centre and open-air concert facilities. The castle's gardens are listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

Castle Green House is a Grade II* listed house located in the grounds of Cardigan Castle, Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales. It was restored in the 2000s and now acts as a museum, events centre and residential accommodation.

Coedmor National Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in Wales, located just south of Cardigan, between Llechryd Bridge and the Teifi Marshes in Ceredigion. It was established in order to protect the natural oak woodland on the slopes on either sides of the Teifi gorge. With Cilgerran Castle standing dramatically above wooded slopes, the area has attracted painters such as Turner and Richard Wilson, amongst other travellers and writers. The gently flowing River Teifi and its banks are a habitat for otters, and for the rare club-tailed dragonfly. Beside the dominant oaks, other broadleaved tree species include lime, ash, wych elm, holly, spindle and hazel. Nearly 200 species of lichens have been recorded as being present in the woodland and 31 species of butterflies have been recorded from the reserve or the area around it.
