Nishi-Nagoya Thermal Power Station

The Shōnai River (庄内川, Shōnai-gawa) is a Class 1 river flowing through Gifu and Aichi prefectures in Japan. In Gifu Prefecture, it is also referred to as the Toki River (土岐川 Toki-gawa); around the city of Kasugai in Aichi Prefecture, it is referred to as the Tamano River (玉野川 Tamano-gawa). Fujimae-higata (designated sites as List of Ramsar wetlands of international importance) exists in the River mouth.

A campaign to stop further development has made Fujimae a symbol of the wetland conservation movement in Japan. The facility is located on reclaimed land at the east side of Ise Bay. It is located about three kilometers northeast of the Chita Thermal Power Station.

It was the longest place name in Japan. The name has now been changed to simply Take-no-gō (竹之郷).

Chita (知多市, Chita-shi) is a city in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 October 2019, the city had an estimated population of 83,891 in 35,798 households, and a population density of 1,828 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 45.90 square kilometres (17.72 sq mi).
