Madison Lake Dam

Madison Lake State Park is a public recreation area located four miles (6.4 km) east of London in the Darby Plains region of Madison County, Ohio, United States. The state park includes 106-acre (43 ha) Madison Lake and 76 acres (31 ha) of surrounding land.

It is located at 39°52′57″N 83°21′12″W, at the intersection of Ohio State Route 665 and Glade Run Road, approximately four miles east of London.The Rupert Post Office was established on May 2, 1894, but was discontinued on August 31, 1901. The mail service is now sent through the London branch. As of 1915, the community contained a general store, a blacksmith, and only a few houses.

Chrisman is an unincorporated community in Oak Run Township, Madison County, Ohio, United States. It is located at the intersection of London-Circleville Road (State Route 56) and Gregg Mill Road (Township Highway 100), about four miles southeast of London. Chrisman was never platted. The Chrisman Post office was established on October 16, 1896, but was discontinued on October 31, 1901. The mail service is now sent through the London branch. As of 1915, the community contained little more than a few houses.

London is a city in and the county seat of Madison County, Ohio, United States. Located about 25 miles (40 km) southwest of the Ohio capital of Columbus, London was established in 1811 to serve as the county seat. The population was 10,279 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Columbus metropolitan area.

The Swetland House is a historic residence in London, Ohio, United States. Built in 1871, it is one of the city's leading Italianate houses, and it was once home to one of London's leading citizens. Jeriah Swetland passed through London in 1843 and settled there permanently in 1856. Founding a business with his brother-in-law, he quickly prospered; within a decade, he had become one of the city's richest men. In the late 1860s, he purchased a large tract of undeveloped land southeast of downtown London and platted it for resale; among the houses built in this area was his own, which was completed in 1871. Built of brick with an asphalt roof, the house features many clear Italianate elements, such as multiple bay windows, a hip roof, multiple verandahs, and ornate hoodmolds. Two-and-a-half stories tall, the house is divided into fourteen rooms. For a time in the late twentieth century, the Swetland House was used as an arts center, the London Community Arts Center. In early 1983, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, qualifying because of its connection to a leading local citizen and because of its distinctive historic architecture.

First United Methodist Church is a historic congregation of the United Methodist Church in downtown London, Ohio, United States. Founded in London's earliest years, the congregation worships in a historic church building that was built in the 1890s.

London High School (LHS) is a public high school in London, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the London City School District. The school's athletic teams are known as the Red Raiders with school colors of red and white. LHS competes in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) as a member of the Central Buckeye Conference.
