Arnold was an urban district in the English ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire from 1894 to 1974. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894. Killisick is an area of the market town of Arnold in the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands of England. It also used to be a local government ward area of Gedling borough until 2015. The population of the ward as it stood at the 2011 census was 2,595. The area is currently contained within the newly created Coppice ward. The area is mostly residential, and contains a few shops and a John Lewis & Partners depot. It borders with Mapperley, Arnold town centre and Woodthorpe. As a ward, Killisick shared borders with the wards known as: Mapperley Plains; Lambley; Woodborough; St. Mary's; Calverton; and Kingswell.

St Paul's church is a Grade II* listed building by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as it is a particularly significant building of more than local interest.

The Sir John Robinson Almshouses (commonly the Daybrook Almshouses) are a collection of twelve two-bedroom cottages erected in 1899 on Mansfield Road, Daybrook, Arnold, Nottingham.The almshouses are charitable low-rent housing provided and maintained by the Sir John Robinson Homes charity (England and Wales Registered Charity No. 217941) to enable fully retired elderly people over the age of 60 years (who are able to care for themselves) to live in Daybrook. Sir John Robinson of the Home Brewery built the almshouses and Daybrook Laundry in memory of his son John Sandford Robinson, an amateur jockey, who died in a horse-racing accident on 21 April 1898, aged 30 years. King George V visited the almshouses on 24 June 1914.There is a further group of 12 two-bedroom houses that were built earlier in 1889, in Sherwood, as Sir John Robinson alms houses in honour of his son's 21st birthday.

Daybrook is a suburb of Arnold, Nottinghamshire. The area is located just outside the city of Nottingham but inside the conurbation of Greater Nottingham. It lies next to the areas of Arnold town centre, Sherwood, Woodthorpe, Redhill and Bestwood.

Arnold Hill Spencer Academy (formally Arnold Hill Academy) is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the county of Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands. It teaches children from 11 to 18 - Years 7-13. It is located in Arnold but it serves children from various nearby areas including Killisick, Daybrook, Woodthorpe, Mapperley, Carlton, Sherwood. It is split into 4 buildings ("A-Block" (previously Upper School), "B-Block" (previously Lower School), "6th Form Centre", and "Ramsey House" (previously Nurture Centre) and has around 1600 pupils and over 100 teachers.

Woodthorpe is characterized by a variety of different buildings from differentiate eras. It includes three schools, is home to two day nurseries and has two play/grassy parks. Shops are limited and most residents travel to nearby areas of Mapperley, Daybrook or Sherwood for local shopping.
