Mold, Flintshire

The A541 is an A road in North Wales. The road starts on the A525 in Trefnant, between St Asaph and Denbigh, and ends in Wrexham. On the way, it passes the town of Mold. It also passes through many villages. In northern-central Wrexham it joins the B5101 road. The section of the road between Mold and Denbigh, centred on Rhydymwyn, was described by North Wales Police as the most dangerous road in North Wales.

The Mold gold cape (Welsh: Clogyn Aur yr Wyddgrug) is a ceremonial cape of solid sheet-gold from Wales dating from about 1900–1600 BCE in the British Bronze Age. It was found at Bryn yr Ellyllon burial mound near Mold, Flintshire in 1833.The cape is thought to have formed part of a ceremonial dress, perhaps with religious connections. It is now in the British Museum in London, where it is usually on display.

Mold railway station in Mold, Flintshire, Wales, opened on 14 August 1849 as the terminus of a double-track line from the Chester and Holyhead Railway, starting at Saltney near Chester. It was joined in September 1869 by Mold and Denbigh Junction Railway. In January 1892 a line opened between Mold and Coed Talon, which was extended in 1898 to Brymbo.

St John the Evangelist's Church, was a Welsh church in King Street, Mold, Flintshire, North Wales (grid reference SJ238641). It is now redundant as a church; it has been divided and is used as a church hall. It is designated by Cadw as a Grade II listed building.The church was built in 1878 to 1879 and designed by the Chester architect John Douglas. It is in brown rubble stone with dressings of red Helsby sandstone and a red-tiled roof. The interior is broad, without aisles.

Ysgol Maes Garmon is an 11–18 mixed, Welsh-medium community secondary school and sixth form in Mold, Flintshire, Wales. It was established in 1961 and is the only Welsh-medium High school in Flintshire.It shares some of its facilities with Alun School.Although Ysgol Maes Garmon is a Welsh-medium school, it welcomes pupils who cannot yet speak the Welsh language, running an immersion programme to help students from English-medium primary schools to learn Welsh. The school has been active in supporting Welsh-medium education. In 2016 a documentary, OMG: Ysgol Ni!, was filmed at the school by S4C.As of 2021, the school's most recent inspection by Estyn was in December 2019, with judgements of Adequate and needs improvement for Standards, for Teaching and learning experiences and for Leadership and management; and Good for Wellbeing and attitudes to learning and for Care, support and guidance.

Alun School is a secondary school located in the community of Mold, Flintshire, Wales. It was formed in 1970 as a result of the merger of the Alun Grammar School and the Daniel Owen Secondary Modern School. Some of the school's present buildings, such as the Daniel Owen Building, date from 1938. The remainder were opened on the formation of the current comprehensive or built in the years since. In 1989, 1432 students attended the school; by 2009 the number was 1762, with over 550 students in the sixth form and over 120 teachers. The main school remains over-subscribed and the Sixth Form is one of the biggest in Wales. The school is sometimes known colloquially as Mold Alun, to distinguish it from the nearby Castell Alun secondary school in Hope.

Mold Town Hall (Welsh: Neuadd y Dref Yr Wyddgrug) is a municipal structure in Earl Road in Mold, Wales. The town hall, which serves as the meeting place of Mold Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

St Mary's Church is an Anglican parish church in Mold, Flintshire, Wales, and a Grade I listed building. It belongs to the Deanery of Mold, the Archdeaconry of Wrexham and the Diocese of St Asaph of the Church in Wales. It has historical associations with the Stanley family, Earls of Derby and displays heraldic symbols of this, including an Eagle and Child assumed by the family in the 15th century, and the Three Legs of Man, derived from a time when the Stanleys were Lords of Mann. Under Father Rex Matthias, the previous incumbent, the church took on an Anglo-Catholic style of liturgy.

County Hall (Welsh: Neuadd y Sir Yr Wyddgrug) is a municipal facility at Raikes Lane in Mold, Flintshire. It was the headquarters of the old Flintshire County Council from 1967 to 1974, the headquarters of Clwyd County Council from 1974 to 1996 and has been the headquarters of the new Flintshire County Council since 1996.

Mold Law Courts is a Crown Court venue, which deals with criminal cases, as well as a County Court venue, which deals with civil cases, in Raikes Lane, Mold, Flintshire, Wales.

Mold Alexandra Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Alexandra Yr Wyddgrug) is a football club based in Mold in Wales. The club was founded in 1929 and played in local amateur leagues before joining the Welsh National League after the Second World War. The team enjoyed success in the 1980s and became a founder member of the League of Wales in 1992. The side were relegated from the division in 1995 and had dropped several tiers by the end of the decade. They now play in the Cymru North which is in the second tier of the Welsh football league system. The club has played at Alyn Park since they were founded in 1929.

Northop Hall Girls FC is a girls only football club based in Northop Hall, Flintshire in North Wales. The club's senior women's team joined the top level Welsh Premier League in 2011–12. The club withdrew from the league midway in the 2013/14 season because of a lack of players, but are now playing in the North Wales league again.
