Marion Technical Institute (MTI) is Marion County's vocational school that offers 9 on-campus academies and coenrollment opportunities while students still earn their high school diploma. The students get hands on experience in their academy classes and are given the opportunity to earn impressive national certifications. The school works closely with local businesses and industry leaders to provide students with internship opportunities. Students from Marion County High Schools that are at least 16 years old may apply to attend the school with an essay and have their school record screened.

The Ritz Apartment (also known as The Ritz-Ocala Apartments or The Acker-Ritz Apartments) is a historic building in Ocala, Florida, at 1205 East Silver Springs Boulevard, on the northeast corner of the intersection with Northeast 12th Avenue. On August 21, 1986, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Fort King (also known as Camp King or Cantonment King) was a United States military fort in north central Florida, near what later developed as the city of Ocala. It was named after Colonel William King, commander of Florida's Fourth Infantry and the first governor of the provisional West Florida region. The fort was built in 1827 during United States tensions with the Seminole in Florida, a tribe of mostly Creek people who formed in the early nineteenth century. Originally established to serve as a buffer between new settlers and the Seminole, the fort became an important base in the 1830s for the United States Army during removal of the Seminole and the Seminole Wars. It later served as a courthouse in 1844 after the organization of Marion County, but was eventually abandoned altogether. Residents took it apart to salvage building materials. The site of the fort is preserved as a National Historic Landmark near the corner of East Fort King Street and 39th Avenue in Ocala. In late 2017, the fort was newly reconstructed to be as historically accurate as possible. Archeological investigation has revealed the site was occupied during two lengthy periods by varying cultures of indigenous peoples, beginning as early as 6500 BC, more than 8,000 years ago.

The Ocala Historic District is a U.S. Historic District (designated as such on January 12, 1984) located in Ocala, Florida. It encompasses 172 acres (0.70 km2), and is bounded by Broadway, Southeast 8th Street, Silver Springs Place, Southeast 3rd, 13th, and Watula Avenues. It contains 220 historic buildings. Development for the original residential properties had started sometime in 1880 and continued to 1930, with the most construction invoked by the Florida boom in 1910. The oldest part of the neighborhood is on the King Street, which then sprawled eastbound. Architectural style reflecting the boom includes bungalows, contrasted to the Queen Anne Revival style on the older streets including the King.

Ocala ( oh-KAL-ə) is a city in and the county seat of Marion County, Florida, United States. Located in North Florida, the city's population was 63,591 as of the 2020 census, making it the 54th-most populated city in Florida. Ocala is the principal city of the Ocala metropolitan area, which had a population of 375,908 in 2020. Home to over 400 thoroughbred farms and training centers, Ocala is considered the "Horse Capital of the World". Notable attractions include the Ocala National Forest, Silver Springs State Park, Rainbow Springs State Park, the College of Central Florida, and the World Equestrian Center.

The E. C. Smith House (also known as the James Hall House) is a historic home in Ocala, Florida. It is located at 507 Northeast 8th Avenue. On May 24, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The former United Hebrews of Ocala synagogue is a historic Carpenter Gothic building located at 729 N.E. 2nd Street, in the Tuscawilla Park Historic District of Ocala, Florida. Built in 1888, it was one of the first synagogues in Florida. It is listed in the Marion County section of A Guide to Florida's Historic Architecture, published in 1989 by the University of Florida Press in Gainesville. In 1963, the congregation adopted the name Temple B'nai Darom. The building is a contributing property to the historic district. It is among the oldest synagogue buildings still standing in the United States.

The Tuscawilla Park Historic District is a historic district in Ocala, Florida. It is bounded by Northeast 4th Street, Sanchez Avenue, 2nd Street, Tuscawilla Avenue, and Watula Street. It encompasses approximately 20 acres, and contains 37 historic buildings. On March 30, 1988, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ocala Union Station (also known as Union Station Plaza) is a bus station and former train station in Ocala, Florida, United States. It is located at 531 Northeast First Avenue, and was built in 1917 by both the Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Air Line Railroad. Prior to this, ACL and SAL had separate depots in Ocala. The former ACL station was originally built by the Florida Southern Railroad, while the former SAL station was built by the Florida Transit and Peninsular Railroad. On December 22, 1997, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Ocala Historic Commercial District is a U.S. Historic District (designated as such on June 3, 1999) located in Ocala, Florida. It encompasses approximately 90 acres (360,000 m2), and is bounded by 1st Street Northwest, 1st Avenue Southeast, 2nd Street Southwest, and 1st Avenue Southwest. It contains 20 historic buildings.

The Mount Zion A.M.E. Church is a historic church in Ocala, Florida, United States. It is located at 623 South Magnolia Avenue. The only surviving brick 19th-century religious structure in Ocala, the present Gothic Revival church stands behind the site of the original white frame building. Construction of the first brick church owned by a black congregation began in 1891 under the supervision of black architect and builder Levi Alexander, Sr.On December 17, 1979, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
