Wolsztyn

Gmina Wolsztyn is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Wolsztyn County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Wolsztyn, which lies approximately 63 kilometres (39 mi) south-west of the regional capital Poznań. The gmina covers an area of 249.64 square kilometres (96.4 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 29,216 (out of which the population of Wolsztyn amounts to 13,557, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 15,659).

Wolsztyn County (Polish: powiat wolsztyński) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Greater Poland Voivodeship, west-central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and only town is Wolsztyn, which lies 63 kilometres (39 mi) south-west of the regional capital Poznań. The county covers an area of 680.03 square kilometres (262.6 sq mi). As of 2006 its total population is 54,718, out of which the population of Wolsztyn is 13,557 and the rural population is 41,161.

Wolsztyn railway station is a railway station serving the town of Wolsztyn, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Poland. The station opened on 1 June 1886 and is located on the Sulechów–Luboń koło Poznania railway, Leszno–Zbąszyń railway and the closed Wolsztyn–Zagan railway. The train services are operated by Koleje Wielkopolskie.
