Vermont Experimental Cold Hardy Cactus Garden is a small botanical garden, less than 100 square feet (9.3 m2), specialized in cactus and succulents, in Middlebury, Vermont, United States.

Shard Villa is a historic house at Shard Villa and Columbus Smith Roads in Salisbury, Vermont, USA. Built in 1872, it is an elaborate and sophisticated example of Second Empire architecture, built by Columbus Smith, a prominent international lawyer. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The property has been used for many years as an elderly care facility and is one of the oldest such facilities in continuous operation in the state.

Porter Medical Center, also known as Porter Hospital, is a 45-bed critical access hospital located in Middlebury, Vermont. Founded by banker William Henry Porter to serve as a dual community hospital and infirmary to nearby Middlebury College, the hospital was dedicated on June 15, 1925. In April 2017, the independent hospital joined the University of Vermont Health Network in an attempt to stabilize Porter's financial situation.

The Addison-1 Representative District is a two-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Addison-1 District includes all of the Addison County town of Middlebury. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Addison-1 District had a population of 8,183 in that same census, 0.8% above the state average.

Middlebury is the shire town (county seat) of Addison County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 9,152. Middlebury is home to Middlebury College and the Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History.

The Gailer School was a co-educational independent day school for grades 7–12, located in Middlebury, Vermont.

Middlebury Union High School (MUHS) is an Addison Central Unified School District public high school in Middlebury, Vermont. Located at 73 Charles Avenue, it had 537 students in grades 9–12 for the 2019–2020 school year.The high school has a newspaper, the "Tiger's Print," that is published 4-6 times a year as a supplement to the local Addison Independent newspaper, and online. The school's mascot is the tiger, and its colors are black and orange. The high school dates back to the 19th-century.

Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium is a 3,500-capacity multi-use stadium in Middlebury, Vermont on the campus of the NCAA Division III-affiliated Middlebury College. Opened in 1991, it serves as home to the school's football and lacrosse teams.

The Emma Willard House is a historic house at 131 South Main Street in Middlebury, Vermont, United States. Built in 1809, it was from 1809 to 1819 the home of Emma Willard (1787–1870), an influential pioneer in the development of women's education in the United States. Willard established a school for girls at her home in 1814 known as the Middlebury Female Seminary. The school was a precursor to the Emma Willard School, an all girl, private boarding and university preparatory day school opened by Willard in 1821 in Troy, New York. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1965. It now houses the Middlebury College Admissions Office.

WRMC-FM (91.1 FM) is the full power, student-volunteer-run radio station of Middlebury College. WRMC broadcasts a variety of content types, including talk, news, and radio drama, although the vast majority of the schedule is music of all genres. Shows are produced largely by student DJ's, although staff, faculty, and other members of the college and town community contribute content on occasion. Most shows last from one to two hours and generally air once a week. WRMC airs a reduced schedule during the summer, which includes shows produced by each of Middlebury College's summer language schools, broadcast entirely in the language of that school. The station also produces an annual music festival, called Sepomana.

The Heights, also known as the Thaddeus Chapman House is a historic country estate on Vermont Route 30 (South Street) in Middlebury, Vermont. Developed in the 1870s and 1880s, the property is one of the finest estates of the period in the state. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Old Stone Row is a collection of three stone buildings flanking the original campus green of Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont. Painter Hall, built 1812-16, is the oldest surviving collegiate academic building in the state, with Old Chapel (1834–36) and Starr Hall (1865) as stylistic accompaniments, all based on vernacular mill construction styles of the period. The buildings and green were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
