Belleview School

Belleview is a city in Marion County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,413 at the 2020 census, up from 4,492 in 2010. It is part of the Ocala Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city's name comes from the French words belle and vue, meaning "beautiful view". "City with Small Town Charm" is the city's motto.

The Lake Lillian Neighborhood Historic District is a historic neighborhood located in Belleview, Florida. The district is bounded by Lillian Circle, Southeast Stetson Road, Southeast Mimosa Road, Southeast Earp Road and CSX RR tracks. It covers 300 acres (1.2 km2), and contains 44 buildings. On August 20, 1999, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Dunnellon High School is an American secondary school located in Dunnellon, FL. The school serves students from Marion, Levy and Citrus counties. The student population of 1050 is 58% majority and 42% minority. Dunnellon High School is served by two magnet programs: The Advanced Studies Program and The Power Generation Academy. The Advanced Studies Program is an academically accelerated program for students in Grades 9–12. Fifty students in each grade take Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment classes on the DHS campus. They also are assigned an adult mentor from the Administrative Team and participate in education and college field trips. The Power Generation Academy allows students to learn about the production of power and energy, from multiple sources. The program is supported by Duke Energy and is great for students interested in careers in engineering and power generation.

The community, often referred to by locals as simply "the shores", serves primarily as a bedroom community for Ocala. It is the largest community in southeast Marion County.

Lake Weir High School (LWHS) is a public high school located in unincorporated southeastern Marion County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Marion County School District and serves students residing in southeastern Marion County, including the Ocala National Forest, Silver Springs Shores and Summerfield. The school colors are purple and gold and its mascot is the hurricane. Lake Weir High School was established in 1955 as a consolidation of Weirsdale and Summerfield High Schools on a hill overlooking Lake Weir with a student body of about 300 students in grades 7 through 12. Mr. Leo Armstrong, former principal of Weirsdale High School was the first principal. The school served students coming from elementary schools at Belleview, Florida, Summerfield, Florida and Weirsdale, Florida that served the communities of Belleview, Candler, East Lake Weir, Ocklawaha, Pedro, Summerfield, Sunset Harbor, and Weirsdale. The first class of 1956 graduated 33. In 1967, Marion County changed to the elementary, middle and high school organization and the school changed to grades 9 through 12. In August, 1975, a new Lake Weir High School was constructed on Maricamp Road in Candler with a student body in excess of 1200 students, which grew to 2500 by 1993. The former Lake Weir High School campus then became home to Lake Weir Middle School, which serves grades 6 through 8.

Forest High School is a school in Ocala, Florida, United States. It has an EMIT (engineering) program. The school's colors are green and gold and the school mascot is the Wildcat. As of 2014, it had an enrollment of some 2,058. Forest High School moved to its current location on Maricamp Road, southeast of the city limits of Ocala, in 2005. The school was originally on Fort King Street in Ocala, at the 1959 campus of Ocala High School. Prior to 1965, the school was for white students only. In 1965, a group of 34 students from the nearby black school, Howard High School began attending. In 1969 the courts mandated the schools became fully integrated and Howard was closed. Vanguard High School was opened the same year, and the Marion County School Board put to rest the name Ocala High School.Forest High School belongs to the Marion County School District.

The Thomas R. Ayer House (also known as the Parr House) is a historic house located in Oklawaha, Florida. It is architecturally significant as the best example of the Queen Anne style in rural Marion County. It is also significant in that it is associated with Thomas Ayer, a citrus pioneer of Marion County.
