The neighborhood of Ludlow is a small neighborhood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is bordered by Girard Avenue to the south and Cecil B. Moore Avenue to the north. It extends from 5th Street west to 9th Street. Ludlow is about 65.9% African American, 18.9% Hispanic, 10% White, 4.8% Asian, and 1.4% all other.

The National Shrine of St. John Neumann is a Roman Catholic National shrine dedicated to St. John Neumann, the fourth Bishop of Philadelphia and the first American male to be canonized. The shrine is located in the lower church of St. Peter the Apostle Church at 1019 North 5th Street, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. The construction of the main church began in 1843. Adjoining the lower church is a small museum, which displays exhibits relating to the life of the saint. The National Shrine of St. John Neumann and St. Peter's Church are under the care of the Redemptorists, the religious community of which St. John Neumann was a member.

Mary Channing Wister School, originally the Mary Channing Wister Public School, is a historic school building located in the Poplar neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1925–1926. It is a three-story, three bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Art Deco-style. An addition was built in 1960. It features a freestanding portico with Doric order columns and decorative tile. It is named for the civic leader Mary Channing Wister, the wife of Owen Wister. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.In 2001, the building was renovated to become a new forensic science laboratory for the Philadelphia Police Department. While the facade remains true to the original design with little change, the inside of the building was completely renovated and designated a Green building. The new laboratory is called the Forensic Science Center, operated by the Office of Forensic Science within the Philadelphia Police Department.

James R. Ludlow School is a historic K-8 elementary school within the School District of Philadelphia, located in the Yorktown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The school building is a Gothic Revival structure designed by architect Irwin T. Catharine (1883–1944) and built in 1926–1927. It is a heavily constructed three-story brick building, nine bays wide with projecting end bays in the Late Gothic Revival-style. Like many similarly-designed Gothic Revival schools in Philadelphia, it features rib vault, heavily tiled corridors, and a stone entrance pavilion with a Tudor-arched opening. The school was named for the Hon. James Reilly Ludlow, or “Judge Ludlow” (1825-1886), President Judge of Court of Common Pleas, No. 3, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a distinguished graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.Ludlow School is located near the National Shrine of St. John Neumann, and near Philadelphia’s up-and-coming Fishtown neighborhood. St. John Neumann was a Bishop of Philadelphia who largely organized and expanded Philadelphia's diocesan school system.

Integrity Title Insurance, Trust and Safe Deposit Company is a historic bank building located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1902, and an addition was built in 1912. The two-story building is in a German baroque style and has a limestone base with Pompeiian brick and flat stone arches.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Olde Kensington, also known as South Kensington, is a neighborhood located in North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Olde Kensington is north of Northern Liberties, south of Norris Square, east of Ludlow, and west of Fishtown. The boundaries of the neighborhood are roughly between Cecil B Moore Ave (north), Girard Ave (south), Front St (east) and 5th St. (west).After World War II, many neighborhoods in Philadelphia experienced a long period of decline, deindustrialization, and residential abandonment. In recent years, however, Olde Kensington has been increasingly gentrified, following a similar pattern observed in adjacent Northern Liberties and Fishtown. Although some industrial activity has continued along the American Street Corridor, a historic location for heavy industry, a growing number of formerly vacant factories are being turned into lofts, condos, and artistic workspaces. Also, there are two associations that serve the neighborhood: the Kensington South Neighborhood Advisory Council (KSNAC) and Olde Kensington Neighbors Association (OKNA). Abigail Vare School is a former school building located in the Pennsport neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located across from Dickinson Square Park.

St. Andrew's Cathedral, is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Philadelphia. Established in 1897, it is the oldest Eastern Orthodox Christian Church in Philadelphia. The current rector is the Archpriest Mark Shinn. It is located at 5th Street & Fairmount Avenue. The church was built by members of the Russian Navy who were awaiting completion of two Russian warships which were being built at Cramp's Shipyard for use in the Russo Japanese War, the Variag and Retvizan. The reason for the construction was that the sailors had no Russian Orthodox church to attend in Philadelphia and also wished to leave a place of worship for local Russian Orthodox people. The land and all materials and labor were donated by the sailors and construction was completed in 1897. Adjacent to the church stands a small museum with photos, names and uniforms of the sailors who participated in the building of the church and also photos of their two ships which were both sunk by the Japanese during the war.

Burk Brothers and Company, also known as Diskmakers, was a historic factory complex located in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The complex consisted of 12 interconnected brick and reinforced concrete buildings, built between 1855 and 1913. The buildings were designed for the processing of kidskins into morocco or glazed kid leather.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. They have since been demolished.

Yorktown is a neighborhood in North Philadelphia. It is located north of Poplar and west of Ludlow. The James R. Ludlow School and William H. Harrison School were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
