St. Mark's Hospital is a 317-bed short-term acute care hospital located in Millcreek, Utah, in the United States. St. Mark's has provided medical services to Salt Lake Valley since its founding in 1872.St. Mark's is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and is a Level II trauma center as verified by the American College of Surgeons. It is classified as a general medical and surgical facility, and is a teaching hospital. St. Mark's hospital has 317 licensed beds, more than 600 physician medical staff, and over 1,500 employees and volunteers. It handles more than 80,000 outpatient visits, 15,000 inpatient admissions, more than 15,000 surgeries annually, as well as more than 3,500 deliveries a year.

The Amanda Conk Best House, at 3622 South 1100 East in Millcreek, Utah, was built in 1896. Also known as the Boyle House, as the Beal House, and as the Aoki House, it is a brick Queen Anne style house that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.It was built for Amanda James Conk Best, a polygamous wife of Alfred Best, and is important as an unusual example for its time and place, as a large Queen Anne style house built out in rural Salt Lake County.It has a twin, the Barlow House in the Avenues Historic District in Salt Lake City.

The Midwives College of Utah, formerly the Utah School of Midwifery, is an institution of direct-entry midwifery training that is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah but offers all programs completely online. Founded in 1980, it is one of the largest and longest-standing direct-entry (out-of-hospital) midwifery programs in the nation. It has been accredited through the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC) since 1996, which is approved by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. The school is also accepted by the California Medical Board for state licensure. The college offers a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery and a Master of Science in Midwifery. Students are eligible to take the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) exam upon graduation and receive the designation of Certified Professional Midwife (CPM).

The Butler-Wallin House, at 1045 E 4500 S, Millcreek, Utah, in Salt Lake County, Utah, was built in 1928–29. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. The Butler-Wallin House, built in 1928-1929, is a one-and-a-half-story Period Revival-style residence. The house is significant under Criteria A for its association with the agricultural and suburban development of central Salt Lake County. The Butler-Wallin House was originally built as the showpiece of a 35-acre farm. The house and farm had several owners during the historic period, and each had different agricultural use for the property. The farm acreage land was sold for residential development between the 1950s and 1980s, but the house remains a distinctive reminder of the neighborhood's agricultural heritage. The Butler-Wallin House is a rare example of a farmhouse that represents a subset of second-generation Salt Lake County residents, the "gentlemen" farmers. Prosperous businessmen, who like Robert Butler and Alvin G. Wallin, kept their in-town jobs while maintaining suburban farms for hobby, experimentation, and educational purposes. The Butler-Wallin House is also significant under Criterion C as an architectural landmark in the area. The Butler-Wallin House was designed by the first owner, Robert W. Butler, whose avocation was architecture. The design of the house was derived from published plans for farmhouses, but adapted by Butler to produce a period revival hybrid of the English Tudor and Colonial Revival styles. It is the only substantial period revival-style frame house in the area. Thehome's beautiful architecture and lush landscaping made it a popular venue for weddings, receptions, and other social events during the historic period. The Butler-Wallin House and landscape contribute to the historic resources of its Salt Lake County neighborhood. It has also been known as Butler Farm, as Wallin Farm, as Jensen Dairy.A three-space garage is a second contributing building on the property.It is no longer a residence, has been used as a business location since the 1980s.It is located on the northeast corner of E 4500 S and S 1025 E. in what is now Millcreek, Utah, which was incorporated in 2016.

Highland Park is a neighborhood in Salt Lake City, just south of downtown Sugar House. The community originally was named for its lofty elevation. A large part of the neighborhood's core is recognized as the Highland Park Historic District. There is a small amount of retail along Highland Drive, but the area is otherwise residential. Forest Dale Golf Course forms the western boundary, Fairmont Park is to the northwest, and Sugar House Park and Highland High School are to the northeast separated from Highland Park by an underground reservoir and the 1300 East-Interstate 80 interchange.

The Anders Hintze House, located at 4249 S. 2300 East in Holladay, Utah, was built in c.1863-64. It is a "Type IIA" pair-house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The house was deemed "significant as an example of Scandinavian vernacular architecture in Utah", and it is one of few houses in the Salt Lake valley surviving from the 1860s. It is a one-story adobe house with a stucco exterior that was applied in the 1940s, when an original scroll-bracketed porch was removed.It was built by Anders Hintze, who was born in 1821 in Herslex, Roskilde Parish, Denmark, who converted to the LDS church in the 1850s and came to Utah early in the 1860s. The house was home for one of his three wives, Karen Sophie Swenson; the other wives lived in smaller houses on the family property.A plan of the house and a photograph were exhibited at the Danish Immigrant Museum in 2001. The museum termed it a "three-part house", reflecting it having a central room with side rooms. In this example, the side rooms are two deep.
