Murrieta Creek runs 13 miles (21 km) southeasterly through southwestern Riverside County, California, United States, through the cities of Wildomar, Murrieta, and Temecula, ending 0.5 miles (0.80 km) southeast of the city center of Temecula, where it has its confluence with Temecula Creek and forms the head of the Santa Margarita River.

Temecula Creek, formerly known as the Temecula River, runs 32.6 miles (52.5 km) through southern Riverside County, California, United States, past the rural communities of Radec and Aguanga, and ending 0.5 miles (0.80 km) southeast of the original city center of Temecula. The creek is filled with boulders and is typically dry and sandy. It is a relatively undeveloped coastal-draining watershed. Until the 1920s, water flowed in Temecula Creek year-round.

Promenade Temecula, formerly The Promenade in Temecula, is a shopping mall in Temecula, California. Opened in October 1999, its anchor tenants are J. C. Penney, Macy's which occupies two anchor spots: Macy's North (which was a former Robinsons-May) and Macy's South (which preceded North), Round One Entertainment, Edwards Cinema, and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Temecula (; Spanish: Temécula, [te'mekula]; Luiseño: Temeekunga) is a city in southwestern Riverside County, California, United States. The city is a tourist and resort destination, with the Temecula Valley Wine Country, Old Town Temecula, the Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival, the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, championship golf courses, and resort accommodations for tourists which contribute to the city's economic profile. Although Temecula is geographically closer to downtown San Diego than downtown Los Angeles, it is considered part of the Greater Los Angeles area. The city of Temecula, forming the southwestern anchor of the Inland Empire region, is approximately 58 miles (93 km) north of downtown San Diego and 85 miles (137 km) southeast of downtown Los Angeles. Temecula is bordered by the city of Murrieta to the north and the Pechanga Indian Reservation and San Diego County to the south. With a population of 110,003 during the 2020 census, Temecula is the 5th most populous city in Riverside County. It was incorporated on December 1, 1989.

The Grace Mellman Community Library (Temecula County Center Library), located in Temecula, California, is a member of the Riverside County Library System. As a full-service library, it has over 80,000 items, and offers materials, programs, and services for all ages which include guest speakers, free movie nights and a monthly book club. To reach the children's room, students pass through a "magic tunnel", an experience shared by many first-grade students in the city.After the city experienced tremendous growth, a second library, the Temecula Public Library, opened on December 14, 2006. Volunteer services, such as staffing a used bookstore, are provided by the Friends of the Temecula Libraries.Library hours vary per day of the week, but is closed on Sundays and Federal holidays.

KKLM (104.1 FM, 104.1 KLOVE) is a religious radio station licensed to serve Murrieta, California. Owned by the Educational Media Foundation, it is an affiliate of the K-Love network, and airs its CCM music format. KKLM currently operates under a Class A nonprofit broadcast license. No local programming originates at the station, as it broadcasts complete wall-to-wall syndicated programming full-time. KKLM's primary broadcast area includes the northern parts of San Diego County, and the Temecula Valley, with the transmitter on the valley floor. Due to the transmitter's location, it is also classified as being in the Inland Empire.

Temecula Valley High School, known by locals as TV, is a public high school for grades 9 to 12 in Temecula, California. The school opened in 1985 as the city's first high school. When it was built, it was a part of the Elsinore Union High School District (now the Lake Elsinore Unified School District) until the Temecula Valley Unified School District was founded. It is a California Distinguished School. In its first year, the school's attendance consisted of 350 students and 17 teachers. Over the years, attendance has increased to over 3,000. In order to keep up with increasing enrollment, the school has undergone several changes. In August 2007, Temecula Valley High opened a new multimillion-dollar gym. In May 2013, Temecula Valley High School completed a multimillion-dollar performing arts center. In February 2015, a renovation of the Stadium was completed, changing the field to turf rather than grass.

KMYT (94.5 FM) is an alternative rock radio station in Temecula, California. The station is owned and operated by iHeartMedia, Inc. The station's webcast is on the iHeartRadio app. KMYT shares studios and offices with co-owned KTMQ, as well as the iHeart Riverside-San Bernardino stations, on Iowa Avenue in Riverside. The transmitter is off Via Labanca in a rural part of Temecula.

KTMQ (103.3 FM) is an active rock radio station that serves the Temecula Valley and Inland Empire areas. The station is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc.

Willow Springs Station was a changing station at Alamos or Willow Springs along the Second Division route of the Butterfield Overland Mail, in what is now Murrieta, in Riverside County, California. It was also known as Alamos, Clines's or Kline's, or Willows, was one of the later Butterfield Overland Mail stations, placed in 1859, between some of the original stations for changing teams and providing water between stops in hot dry areas. Willow Springs, also originally known as Alamos Springs, was located west of the hills that line the east side of the Temecula Valley, on land of the Rancho Temecula, near Santa Gertrudis Creek on the low flood plain of Murrieta Creek, between Santa Gertrudis and Warm Springs Creek.

Linfield Christian School (LCS) is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory K-12 Christian school located on a 100-acre campus in Temecula, California, a city that is located between San Diego and Los Angeles. The school’s colors are navy blue, light blue and white, and the school mascot is the Lion. The current student enrollment is approximately 750 students.

Linda Rosa, or Linda Rose, is a former populated place, formerly in San Diego County, now in Riverside County, California. The town site of Linda Rosa was located southwest of the old town of Murrieta, California on the west side of Murrieta Creek. Linda Rosa is a name derived from Spanish meaning "pretty rose".Linda Rosa was one of the many land development schemes of the 1880s in Southern California. In 1887, the Santa Rosa Land & Improvement Company, belonging to the Englishman, Parker Dear, owner of the Rancho Santa Rosa subdivided the 400-acre Linda Rosa Tract southwest of Murrieta along the California Southern Railroad line. The company spent approximately $5,000 building a depot, but the railroad did not make Linda Rosa a scheduled stop. The Linda Rosa Hotel was built by the land company in 1888 at an estimated cost of $15,000. The large hotel provided a place where visitors and land buyers could stay.Linda Rosa Fruit Canning and Preserving Company was formed on June 30, 1888, to grow and can fruit and vegetables. Linda Rosa had its own post office, Linda Rose, from November 20, 1888, to March 20, 1890. When the land boom went bust, the town lots failed to sell and the office was closed and mail service was moved to Temecula Station. The hotel was torn down and used to build a house. With the failure of his development, Parker Dear went bankrupt and lost the rancho to his bank in 1893.
