The Port, Cambridge

The Old Cambridgeport Historic District is a historic district along Cherry, Harvard and Washington Streets in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It contains some of the oldest surviving houses north of Massachusetts Avenue in the Cambridgeport section of the city. It includes the entire block of Cherry Street between Harvard and Washington Streets, as well as a few buildings on those two streets. The oldest houses are the Samuel Fay House (172 Harvard Street, built 1805) and the Margaret Fuller House (71 Cherry Street, built 1807, now a National Historic Landmark).The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, where it is spelled "Cambridgport".

The George Close Company BUilding is an historic industrial building at 243 Broadway in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Built in 1910 for a candy manufacturer, it is a good local example of industrial Classical Revival architecture, and was converted to residential use in 1976. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Margaret Fuller House was the birthplace and childhood home of American transcendentalist Margaret Fuller (1810–1850). It is located at 71 Cherry Street, in the Old Cambridgeport Historic District area of Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the neighborhood now called "The Port" (formerly known as "Area Four") (north of Massachusetts Avenue, between Central and Kendall Squares). The house is now a National Historic Landmark. The three-story, wooden, Federal style house was built in the early 19th century, and was Fuller's home from birth until age 16. In 1902 it became the Margaret Fuller House of Cambridge, a settlement house providing information and services to help immigrants assimilate into American culture. It is now known as the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House.

Sennott Park is a park at the intersection of Broadway and Norfolk Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.

Beth Israel Synagogue is a historic former Jewish synagogue building at 238 Columbia Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Built in 1901, it was the first and principal synagogue to serve the East Cambridge area, and is a fine local example of Romanesque architecture. Now converted into residential condominiums, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School (PHA) is a tuition-free, college preparatory charter public school serving grades PreK - 12 in Somerville, Massachusetts and Cambridge, Massachusetts. The school was founded in 1996.PHA serves more than 1,100 students from diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds. 87% are people of color, nearly two-thirds are low-income, and approximately half come from homes where English is not the primary language spoken.Since 2009, PHA has consistently placed in the top 7% of all U.S. high schools per U.S. News & World Report.

Greene-Rose Heritage Park is a park in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Opened in 2008, the park is located along Harvard Street, near the intersection with Moore Street. It has a playground and tennis courts.

The James B. Barnes House is an historic house at 109 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Built in 1824 and moved to its present location in 1984, it is one of the only brick Federal-style houses left in Cambridge, and is a rare survivor of the early period of development in East Cambridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Norfolk Street Historic District is a historic district at Norfolk Street between Suffolk and Bishop Allen Streets in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It encompasses two distinct phases of 19th century residential development in the city: a period in the 1840s when a series of Greek Revival cottages was built (on the odd-numbered side of the street), and the 1880s, when four-story "hotel" (apartment house) construction predominated (on the even-numbered side of the street). Many of the Greek Revival cottages have been altered, although that at 73 Norfolk is particularly well preserved. The district features works by James Fogerty and other local architects. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Ivory Sands House is a historic house in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a two-story brick structure, five bays wide, with a side-gable roof. It was built in 1839, and has transitional Federal-Greek Revival styling. It was the first of four brick houses built by a local family of brickmakers, and is one of the few surviving Federal period brick houses in the city. The Sands family were involved in Cambridge's brickmaking businesses for most of the 19th century.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It has won the Best of Boston award for best ice cream in 1997, 2009, and 2010, as well as other Best of Boston awards. It has also been highly rated in Gourmet magazine, and has been highly rated in The New York Times food section.
