Hoffenheim station

Hoffenheim (German pronunciation: [ˈhɔfn̩haɪ̯m] ) is a village in Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It belongs to the municipality of Sinsheim and, as of 2020, it has a population of 3,191.

The Dietmar-Hopp-Stadion (German pronunciation: [ˌdiːtmaʁˈhɔpˌʃtaːdi̯ɔn]) is a football ground in Hoffenheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The 6,350-capacity stadium is the home of 1899 Hoffenheim II and the Hoffenheim women's section. It had been home to the Hoffenheim senior men's side until their promotion to the First Bundesliga for 2008–09. It is named after SAP SE co-founder and 1899 Hoffenheim chairman, Dietmar Hopp. As the stadium does not meet the standards for the First Bundesliga, it has been replaced by the Rhein-Neckar Arena.

Zuzenhausen is a municipality in Baden-Württemberg and is part of the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis.

Sinsheim (Elsenz) Hauptbahnhof — called Sinsheim (Elsenz) station until 2010 — is a station on the Neckargemünd–Bad Friedrichshall-Jagstfeld railway in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. The station falls within the area of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar (Transport association of Rhine-Neckar) and is an important station in the Kraichgau. In the area of the city of Sinsheim, there are also stations (all called Haltepunkte in German, "halts") at Hoffenheim, Sinsheim Museum/Arena, Steinsfurt and Reihen.

Schwarzbach is a river of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It flows into the Elsenz in Meckesheim.

Sinsheim (German pronunciation: [ˈzɪnshaɪ̯m], South Franconian: Sinse) is a town in south-western Germany, in the Rhine Neckar Area of the state Baden-Württemberg about 22 kilometres (14 mi) south-east of Heidelberg and about 28 kilometres (17 mi) north-west of Heilbronn in the district Rhein-Neckar.

The Battle of Sinsheim took place on 16 June 1674, near Sinsheim in modern Baden-Württemberg, then in the Holy Roman Empire. Part of the 1672 to 1678 Franco-Dutch War, a French army under Marshall Turenne defeated an Imperial force led by Aeneas de Caprara. The war began in May 1672, when a French army invaded the Dutch Republic. In August 1673, the Dutch agreed an alliance with Emperor Leopold, opening a new theatre of operations in the Rhineland. For the 1674 campaign, Turenne was ordered to prevent Imperial troops entering the contested area of Alsace; facing a number of separate forces which outnumbered his in total, he sought to defeat his opponents piecemeal. On 16 June 1674, Turenne intercepted a slightly larger Imperial detachment of around 8,500 men, on its way to join Alexander von Bournonville and their main army near Heidelberg. De Caprara managed to repulse the first two French assaults before withdrawing; although unable to prevent him linking up with von Bournonville, Turenne inflicted heavy casualties, and thereafter gained the strategic initiative in the campaign.

Meckesheim station is a small railway junction in Meckesheim, North Baden in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is located on the Neckargemünd–Bad Friedrichshall railway and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The Schwarzbach Valley Railway branches off the Elsenz Valley Railway to Aglasterhausen in Meckesheim. Until 1990, the Wiesloch–Meckesheim/Waldangelloch railway also branched off via Schatthausen to Wiesloch Stadt and Wiesloch-Walldorf.

Eschelbronn is a village with 2,597 inhabitants in the Rhein-Neckar district of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is adjacent to Sinsheim.
