Heathmont railway station is located on the Belgrave line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the eastern Melbourne suburb of Heathmont, and opened on 1 May 1926.

Aquinas College is an Australian co-educational Roman Catholic secondary school in the Melbourne suburb of Ringwood. It is a regional college of the Archdioces of Melbourne, founded in 1961 to provide secondary education to Catholics residing in the Maroondah Deanery.

Ringwood East is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 31 km east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Maroondah local government area. Ringwood East has its own railway station which is within the Myki Zone 2 fare zone on the Lilydale railway line. Maroondah Hospital is also located in Ringwood East, a large public hospital and emergency department serving the surrounding eastern suburbs. Ringwood East Post Office opened around 1902, in what was then a rural area, before the railway station opened in 1925.

Ringwood Secondary College is a co-educational public secondary school located in the eastern suburb of Ringwood in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Ringwood Secondary College opened as Ringwood High School in 1954 and was one of the first high schools to be constructed in the new Light Timber Construction (LTC) style, which was developed by the Public Works Department in Victoria to address a chronic shortage in high school places in the 1950s. Ringwood Secondary College provides education for years 7-12. Year 11 and 12 students undertake the VCE program. There are currently approximately 1460 students enrolled at the school. RSC offers an extensive range of Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) subjects as well as the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) programme. The college has developed a centre of excellence for Automotive, Engineering and Manufacturing. The Music and Performing Arts Program at Ringwood Secondary College includes three concert bands, four stage bands, three string ensembles and two choirs. In recent competitions, Melbourne School Bands Festival, Mt Gambier Generations in Jazz and the Royal South Street Competition, the school has received awards for its stage bands, strings ensembles and symphonic orchestra.

Tintern Grammar (also known as Tintern) is an independent, Anglican day school for girls and boys located in Ringwood East, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1877 by Emma Bartlet Cook, Tintern has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for over 890 students, from ELC through to Year 12, including international students. Located on one site in Ringwood East, the Early Learning Centre is co-educational, while girls and boys are educated in single-sex environments from Prep – Year 9. In Years 10 – 12 boys and girls learn together in a co-educational classes. The school is a member of the Eastern Independent Schools of Melbourne (EISM), the Junior School Heads Association of Australia (JSHAA), the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA), Alliance of Girls' Schools Australasia (AGSA) and was a founding member of Girls Sport Victoria (GSV).

The electoral district of Bayswater is one of the electoral districts of Victoria, Australia, for the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It covers an area of 39 square kilometres (15 sq mi) in outer eastern Melbourne, and includes the suburbs of Bayswater, Heathmont, Kilsyth South and The Basin, and parts of Bayswater North, Boronia, Ringwood and Wantirna. It lies within the Eastern Metropolitan Region of the upper house, the Legislative Council.Bayswater was created as a notionally marginal Labor seat in a redistribution for the 1992 state election. It replaced the abolished electorate of Ringwood, which had been held by Labor MP and Kirner government Minister for Community Services Kay Setches since 1982. The area had been traditionally Liberal prior to Setches' election; she had been the first Labor member to hold Ringwood. Setches contested Bayswater at the election, but was resoundingly defeated by Liberal candidate and personnel consultant Gordon Ashley in the Liberal landslide victory that year, one of several ministers to lose their seats.Ashley was easily re-elected at the 1996 election and 1999 election, but was unexpectedly defeated by Labor candidate Peter Lockwood in the Labor landslide victory at the 2002 election. Lockwood only lasted one term before being defeated by Liberal Heidi Victoria in 2006. Victoria served as Minister for the Arts, Minister for Women's Affairs and Minister for Consumer Affairs in the Napthine Ministry from 2013 to 2014. The seat was won back by Labor somewhat unexpectedly in the 2018 Victorian state election, with Jackson Taylor serving as the current Labor MP for the district.

Ringwood railway station is a commuter railway station and the junction point for the Belgrave and Lilydale lines, serving the eastern Melbourne suburb of Ringwood, Victoria, Australia. Ringwood is a premium status ground structure station featuring three platforms, with an island platform and one side platform connected by an accessible overground concourse. The station opened on 1 December 1882.The original single story brick station buildings, situated on platform 3, are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register and today function as the ticket and staff offices. The station was reopened in January 2016 as part of a multimillion dollar redevelopment of the Eastland Shopping Centre, Ringwood Town Square and Railway Place.

Southwood Boys Grammar School was an independent school located in Ringwood, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. It was the boys campus of Tintern Schools and was founded in 1999, accepting boys up to year 7. In 2014, students were moved to the main Tintern campus and the site was sold to the Salvation Army as their training headquarters. The school still accepts boys from ELC–Year 12, who are part of Tintern Schools.

Wantirna is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 27 km east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Knox local government area. Wantirna recorded a population of 14,237 at the 2021 census.Its name is derived from the local aboriginal people’s expression for, "a gurgling stream". The Knox Private Hospital, Westfield Knox shopping centre, and Kieran are located in Wantirna. The EastLink tollway runs through Wantirna with interchanges at Boronia Road and Burwood Highway. Wantirna was first settled by Australians of European descent in 1840 when Mrs. Madeline Scott established the "Bushy Park" cattle run on the banks of the Dandenong Creek. During the 1870s other pioneers opened up the area to settlement. In 1912 the need for a school to serve the local area soon became apparent in this small but fast-growing area; the Finger family donated two acres of land on the southern side of Mountain Hwy (then known as Wantirna-Sassafras Rd) and a timber schoolhouse was opened. The Finger and Fankhauser families were prime movers in the erection of the Methodist Church opened opposite the school in May 1914, and a parish hall was built on Burwood Highway in 1924. Wantirna Post Office opened on 1 November 1913, closed in 1977, and reopened in 1983. The Wantirna Reserve was provided by the council in 1925 and a tennis court was built there shortly afterwards. In December 1939, after the outbreak of World War II, West Prussia Road was renamed Wantirna Road. Locations in Wantirna, especially Westfield Knox, are occasionally used to shoot the soap opera Neighbours. Koomba Park is a large native bushland park spanning the area between Dandenong Creek and the Eastlink Tollway. It is run by Parks Victoria and was opened in 1982. The Victorian Jazz Archive is located in Koomba Park.

Eastland Shopping Centre is a super-regional shopping centre located in the eastern Melbourne suburb of Ringwood, Victoria, Australia, which first opened on 31 October 1967. It is adjacent to Ringwood railway station on Maroondah Highway and serviced by several bus routes. The centre features two main levels of shops, with a third level containing a Hoyts 12-screen cinema complex and restaurants, forming a total of approximately 530 stores. Eastland also contains a library, 120 room hotel and large outdoor dining precinct called Ringwood Town Square. It is the largest shopping centre in the City of Maroondah and is located in relatively close proximity to Westfield Doncaster and Westfield Knox. It is also set for a new office tower, finishing in 2025.
