Willow Springs was a water park located in Little Rock, Arkansas. It closed for swimming in July 2013. The park subsequently re-opened for fishing but not swimming. It closed permanently in August 2015.

The Carmichael House is a historic house at 13905 Arch Street Pike in Landmark, Arkansas. The property is a 30-acre (12 ha) gentleman farmer's estate, with a main house, barn, hog shed, and other farm outbuildings. The principal structures are built out of stone, with the house having terra cotta tile elements as well. It is Craftsman in style, with a shallow pitch gable roof that has deep eaves and exposed rafters. The estate was developed in the 1930s by John Hugh Carmichael and his wife 1st wife Amelia. Lily, his second wife, sold the property after he died in 1958. The property is a good example of rural Craftsman-style gentleman's farm. The property was purchase in 1967 by Paul Hodge and Karen Hodge. It was converted from a Gentleman's Farm to a Thoroughbred Racing Farm and it served as such until 1985. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

Namesakes include Ironton Baptist Church, Ironton Road, and Ironton cut-off. There are a few businesses in Ironton, and a fishing area. The area is in the Pulaski County Special School District.

John L. McClellan High School was a high school in Little Rock, Arkansas. McClellan served students in grades nine through twelve and was part of the Little Rock School District from 1987 to 2020 and part of the Pulaski County Special School District before joining the Little Rock School District. It closed when Little Rock Southwest High School opened.

As of 2019–20, PCSSD has the sixth-highest student enrollment in the state. Geographically, PCSSD is the state's fifth largest district and encompasses a total 729 square miles (1,890 km2), and includes most areas of the county—incorporated and unincorporated—excluding most areas within the city limits of Little Rock, Cammack Village, most areas within the city of North Little Rock, Jacksonville, and a section of McAlmont.

'Mills University Studies High School’, in Little Rock, Arkansas, serving students in grades 9 through 12 and is one of six high schools within the Pulaski County Special School District. Mabelvale was a small, unincorporated train station town in southwestern Pulaski County, Arkansas, until being annexed into Little Rock following a special election that was held on May 3, 1973. The area today is part of Little Rock's seventh ward, although it retains a separate postal designation and ZIP code [72103] from most of the rest of the city. The neighborhood is currently represented on Little Rock's City Board of Directors by Brenda "B.J." Wyrick.The neighborhood is generally defined as the homes and businesses in the immediate area surrounding the intersection of Mabelvale Main Street and the Union Pacific railroad line. However, its location on the southwestern fringe of Little Rock proper — as well as its proximity to unincorporated communities, to other neighborhoods in Southwest Little Rock, and to adjoining towns such as Shannon Hills which share the ZIP code — often leads to varying definitions of Mabelvale's boundaries. Even so, most would agree that the area generally referred to contemporarily as Mabelvale spans multiple counties: while primarily located in Pulaski County, some of its areas spill over into neighboring Saline County.
