North Acton Cemetery

The Nashoba Brook Stone Chamber is an underground stone structure in the woods of the Nashoba Brook Conservation Area of Acton, Massachusetts. Its more common name is the "potato cave", which comes from the traditional assumption that it was once used as a root cellar. Research and excavation from 2006 supports this assertion, finding evidence of construction from the 18th or 19th century for the purpose of storing food. Some argue that it may originally have been a pre-colonial native American ceremonial stone landscape structure. Local lore states that it also served as shelter for workers on the nearby railroad in the 19th century.

The Nashoba Brook Pencil Factory Site contains the ruins of a 19th-century dam-powered pencil factory. This factory was one of several in Acton and Concord, Massachusetts at the time that brought important developments to pencil manufacturing. All that remain today of the factory are the ruins of its dam and a few mechanical components. The site is in the Nashoba Brook Conservation Area in Acton, Massachusetts, along Nashoba Brook and the old Davis Road Dam. Visitors can access the site by following a marked path from the Davis Road parking area for the Nashoba Brook Conservation Area

John E. "Dropkick" Murphy (May 12, 1912 in Malden, Massachusetts – October 17, 1977 in Concord, Massachusetts) was an American professional wrestler and sanatorium owner. He operated the Bellows Farms Sanatorium, an alcoholic rehabilitation facility in Acton, Massachusetts from 1941 to 1971. The band Dropkick Murphys is named after him.

The Parker Village Historic District of Westford, Massachusetts encompasses a historic rural village center. The district extends from the junction of Carlisle Road and Griffin Road, westward along Carlisle Road to a triangular green where it meets Concord Road and Old Lowell Road. The oldest building in the village is the Parker Village Schoolhouse, built in 1787 out of brick and wood, and restored in the 1990s. The majority of the houses in the district date from the 18th and 19th centuries, with eclectic Victorian styles predominating.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.Each year elementary students from Westford Public Schools visit the site for a field-trip, dressed up as students from the era.

Middlesex County is located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,632,002, making it the most populous county in both Massachusetts and New England and the 22nd most populous county in the United States. Middlesex County is one of two U.S. counties (along with Santa Clara County, California) to be amongst the top 25 counties with the highest household income and the 25 most populated counties. It is included in the Census Bureau's Boston–Cambridge–Newton, MA–NH Metropolitan Statistical Area. As part of the 2020 United States census, the Commonwealth's mean center of population for that year was geo-centered in Middlesex County, in the town of Natick (this is not to be confused with the geographic center of Massachusetts, which is in Rutland, Worcester County). On July 11, 1997, Massachusetts abolished the executive government of Middlesex County primarily due to the county's insolvency. Middlesex County continues to exist as a geographic boundary and is used primarily as district jurisdictions within the court system and for other administrative purposes; for example, as an election district. The National Weather Service weather alerts (such as severe thunderstorm warning) continue to localize based upon Massachusetts's counties.

The Oliver Hutchins House is an historic house at 79 Elm Street in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2 story house was built in the 1820s, probably by Oliver Hutchins and his brother. The house's foundations and other stone elements indicate that the Hutchinses were probably associated with the local granite quarries in some way. The house is one of a few local houses that is transitional between Georgian and Federal styling: the basic plan of the house is Georgian, despite the lack of central chimney, and the exterior and interior woodwork are heavily influenced by the publications of Asher Benjamin.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Middlesex School is a coeducational, non-sectarian, day and boarding independent secondary school for grades 9–12 located in Concord, Massachusetts. It was founded as an all-boys school in 1901 by a Roxbury Latin School alumnus, Frederick Winsor, who headed the school until 1937. Middlesex began admitting girls in 1974. The school is a member of the Independent School League and is one of five schools collectively known as St. Grottlesex. The school was named for the county Middlesex in which it stands. The campus was designed by the Olmsted Brothers architectural firm, and the firm Peabody and Stearns designed most of the main buildings. A recent addition is the Clay Centennial Center, completed in 2003, which hosts science and math classes as well as an observatory. The school is 70% boarding students and 30% day students. In 2019–20, boarding students came from 24 states and 20 countries. Middlesex accepted only 14% of students who applied to enter in 2022–23.

The Henry Fletcher House is a historic house at 224 Concord Road in Westford, Massachusetts. Built c. 1810–13, it is a rare example of very late Georgian style timber-frame construction, with a large central chimney characteristic of colonial-era houses. It is styled with a mix of late Georgian and Federal style woodwork. The property's barn was also built by Henry Fletcher using the same construction methods. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The John Proctor House is a historic house at 218 Concord Road in Westford, Massachusetts. It is one of the oldest houses in Westford. Its main block was probably built between 1720 and 1740 by John Proctor II, although deed evidence surrounding the house's construction is scanty. The main house is a two-story timber-frame structure with an asymmetrical facade, somewhat resembling a typical First Period half house (a two-story single-chamber block with a chimney on one side), although the chimney was removed in the 19th century. Most of the building's interior finishes date to the 1820s or 1830s. A two-story bay was added to the house's west side between 1830 and 1850, and a real ell added c. 1900.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

The Isaac Davis Trail, also known as the Acton Trail, is an historic 6-mile (9.7 km) trail running east–west in the towns of Acton and Concord, Massachusetts. The trail was significant in 1775 when it was used by Captain Isaac Davis and the Acton Minutemen to march on Concord during the battles of Lexington and Concord. The trail was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.The trail begins at Isaac Davis' house in Acton, and ends at western end of the North Bridge in the Minuteman National Historical Park in Concord. Most of the route is now paved roads, where in some cases the alignment no longer matches the exact route. Despite this, the trail route evokes the time of the march, with its roadways lined with stone walls, and houses generally set back from the street. The trail first runs northeast about 1.25 miles (2.01 km) northeast, along Hayward Rd, Musket Dr, Minuteman Rd, Woodbury Ln, and Main St. It then turns more directly east for 1.5 miles (2.4 km), along a town-owned easement on private property, to Strawberry Hill Rd. It follows Strawberry Hill Rd southerly for 1.75 miles (2.82 km) to Barrett's Mill Rd, which runs easterly 0.75 miles (1.21 km) to meet Lowell Rd in Concord. It crosses Lowell Rd, following Barnes Hill Rd and crossing Liberty Rd to reach the Muster Field above the North Bridge.

The John Robbins House is a historic house at 144 Great Road in Acton, Massachusetts. Built in 1800, it is a well-preserved example of a late Georgian/early Federal country house, and was the farmhouse for one of Acton's largest 19th-century farms. The interior includes well-preserved period details, including stencilwork by the itinerant artist Moses Eaton, Jr. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 2003.

Heart Pond (also known as Hart Pond, Baptist Pond or Baptist lake) is a great pond located in the southwestern corner of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. The pond borders the town of Westford, Massachusetts. The pond has a surface area of 91 acres and a maximum depth of 20 ft. The pond is a warm water fishery and is a popular fishing spot in the town containing, Largemouth bass, Black Bullhead, Chain Pickerel, White and Yellow perch as well as Sunfish.
